This is book six of an alpha billionaire romance series by USA Today best selling author Sky Corgan.
Piper Gravatt thought she had a perfect life. She had just graduated from college and was about to marry the man of her dreams. Then it all went to hell.
Dark circumstances led to even darker desires, and there was only one way to bury her pain. Her new Never fall in love. Never give yourself over completely.
Life is bleak except for pleasure. And there's only one place that Piper can go to get what she needs to survive. Club Fet, where the men are hot and the acts of lust are unconventional.
Being discrete doesn't always work, though, especially when paths cross in all the wrong places. Powerful men lurk in the shadows and one, in particular, is determined to destroy everything that Piper is.
I received a courtesy copy of this book for an honest review.
Words practically escape me... Torn: Part Six left me speechless. Gritty, raw, and gut-wrenching, this book will stay with you for days after reading it. Prepare yourself for an ending that will shock you and leave you gasping for breath.
I received this for a honest review. I have enjoyed this series so far. After I finished this book I was screaming at Sky Corgan on why she ended it there. I so need the next book. I have to wonder if Holden has went to far in this book.
After book six I was wonder how Piper was going to take it seeing Holden with another woman that looked like her. Not only seeing him with the other girl but playing with her as well. This had to be shocking. I have to say I loved the way Piper handle the situation. It was like a slap to Holden but in all fairness it was not like him cheating because they are not together.
Holden found himself jealous though I do believe he would admit those feelings. Holden has so much built up anger it is unreal. Now he is faced with his mother going to die and this is almost to much for him to deal with. He finds himself looking for ways to hurt Piper and tear her down. He says he wants Piper out of his and his mother’s life but I am not so sure about that. I do have to say his last actions toward Piper was taking it to far. If Piper comes out okay through this then I am not certain she will be able to forgive him.
Piper finds herself getting closer to her brothers. I love how they are willing to step up and defender her if needed. The bond they are developing is just what the 3 of them need. How will the boys handle knowing what has happen to Piper? I am not certain the oldest will handle it well.
Got this as an arc for an honest review. And am feeling for piper at this point. Holden is an ass & that's all I'm going to say so I don't ruin anything for anyone. But what a cliffhanger ending...wow.
Torn by Sky Corgan was a great book. Many things havent been going Piper's way as of late. Piper enjoys diving into her dark desires at Club Fet. Little did she know her private life and Club Fet life would cross paths. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Sky Corgan.
This is Part 6 of the series and the interaction between Piper and Holden moves to a new level and is extremely intriguing. Piper reflects on her day; she didn’t lose her job and her bond with Ann is stronger than ever, plus Holden has agreed to leave her alone. Piper is going to Club Fet; she is looking for both a new Dom and to make some friends – the perfect ending to a good day. That is until she spots Holden with someone in the play stall and it immediately destroys her good mood. Piper hates Holden, she has always hated him, now more than ever she hates him, so why does it hurt and still bother her when she sees him with someone else. She cannot let him think this is affecting her, cannot make it look like she cares. In retaliation Piper coerces Sir Jeremy to do a scene in the public play area; connecting with some many unfamiliar faces and being watched makes Piper feel awkward – she is only doing this to make Holden jealous. Holden thinks he has Piper where he wants her; was showing her she means nothing to him, but then she throws it back in his face, souring his mood. Piper is staying home to have some quality time with the boys, but also to avoid Holden. But Holden turns up on her doorstep and they have an altercation about the family heirloom Ann has given to Piper. Holden is so incensed, he threatens Piper; he wants her out of his life and his mother’s life – he makes it plain he can and he will destroy her. At the end of the book there is a new twist, and this makes for a very engaging storyline. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Designation: Part 6 of a Serial, Not a Standalone, Includes Cliffhanger
So TORN 6 is a 44 page novella that picks up right where part 5 left off. Piper doesn’t lose her job with Ann and Holden even seems to be backing off. Piper heads to Club Fet to find someone to play with. She is happy to be there and the club is packed, but then she spots Holden in a public play stall and she is surprised that it affects her….she hates him, but seeing him with someone else hurts her. She decides to get back at him by doing a scene with Sir Jeremy.
Holden learns that his mother has given Piper a family heirloom and decides to confront her and demand that she give it back. When that doesn’t go as planned he takes it as a sign that she is preying on his mother’s generosity and can’t be trusted. He has no choice but to get Piper out of the picture.
Another cliffhanger! As much as I love this story, I want more! I am on the edge of my seat to see what happens next between Holden and Piper.
I received this book for free to give my True and Honest Review
Oh yes SKY CORGAN HAS GONE & DONE IT AGAIN
Oh Gawd the asshat is really making Piper go to another level for her liking as she's playing tit 4 tat and all I feel like is the only person she's going to hurt herself in situations that they're in. Holden wants her but for some reason is being stubborn as hell like a big sully child & Piper's the same with her tit 4 tat, which I feel can ONLY fail FAIL, knowing from experience from seeing friends do the exact same thing. And in this case I can see it's going to be Holden who will suffer and burn from his actions out lack of actions. Though I do love reading and seeing how these relationships & this episode will pan out as I'm sure you all do as well. Of course I really do recommend this pay but if you DID come in here you do need to start from the beginning to see how it has come to their situation.... Sky at her best
This series has been fantastic, but it still keeps getting better and better. I do not like to put too much in my review that would spoil it for someone else, so I will tell you that I wanted to smack Holden several times in this part, no matter how sexy he is. Holden is a billionaire whose dying mother Ann has hired Piper to help her. Piper has had to come home to take care of her two brothers after the death of their parents. There is a little jealousy in this part that goes on at the local BDSM club. Warning: This part ends on a really big cliffhanger. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and I have loved this whole series. You need to get started with Part One, if you haven't already.
Torn: Part Six (An Alpha Billionaire Romance) (The Torn Series Book 6)
Oh... I am looking forward to reading more of this series. This book had a lot of drama in it. Exciting and very sexual interest in this story. Cliffhangers, more !!!!I really enjoy reading this author's books, but, it is a drawn out story. ENJOY
OMG! Holden is such a jerk! Piper is too good of a person to bother with this man. Piper is learning that family, love and trust and worth it in this life. Holden is afraid and a bully. He needs to realize it is ok to feel for Piper and not try so hard to push her away.
This part really hurt my heart. I was so sad for piper. The way Holden is treating her is just so out there. I get he's mad but he really is going over board. I hope things take a turn for the better.
Piper Gravatt's life has just been turned upside down. Her mother is gone and now she has had to come back to take care of her two step-brothers as there is no one left for them. Piper holds so much resentment towards them as now she needs to start over. She is given a job by Ann Longworth to help her out whenever she needs someone around the house and to take her to appointments.
Luckily Piper has found an escape at the local BDSM, Club Fet, where she first meets him.
Holden is not the man you think he is. Underneath his cool exterior is a man bent on control and getting what he wants and right now he has one goal - to get rid of Piper. How far will Holden go to get what he wants?
Will Piper be able to save herself or will she lose everything once she realizes what is at stake?
This was such a good book and right from the beginning I bonded to Piper and her story.
Piper was such a great character as she was at such odds with herself and I found she grew up so much in this book due to her talks with Ann. Piper had so many resentments towards her brothers at the beginning of the book and I really understood why. Yet as Piper and Earl began to communicate more the two formed a strong bond and I loved reading the change.
I also really liked the relationship between Ann and Piper. Ann really needed an independent friend and as the book goes on you understand why. I loved that Piper would never take advantage of Ann, no matter what she was accused of.
I hated Holden through almost the entire book. He was such a controlling ass and I honestly was so shocked at the things that he did to Piper. I couldn't believe how far he went to try and get her to submit to what he wanted. Every time I thought he was changing he would do something that would just show how much of a jerk he really was. I did understand why he was afraid to let anyone get close to him as he was losing everyone.
I wasn't surprised by the ending and I was happy with the ways things turned out as it showed the growth with the characters. Although I definitely would have liked a little more at the end about the brothers and how they were doing!- Rebecca
