What does a frustrated Vampyre do when the woman he’s chased for two hundred years is still trying to get away? He plays dirty, that’s what.
Welcome to my own personal Hell. Name: Heathcliff. Occupation: Vampyre Warrior—one of the deadliest in the world. I plan. I fight. I win. Always. However, it’s never taken me this damned long to get what I want before.
Only I would be blessed with a Vampyre mate I’d have to chase for two centuries. The chemistry between us is steamy and the sex is sizzling, but I want more—I want it all. Now just as I’m finally wearing Raquel down, I find I have competition—not for my mate's hand—but for her very existence.
Raquel may run and she may hide, but she is mine and I will no longer take no for an answer. Whatever is in the way between us doesn’t matter. We were made for each other. Nothing anyone can do will change that simple fact…except maybe the Trolls...or the Wraiths...or the reclusive, insane Vampyre sister of my King who wants to drink my mate dry for reasons no one will freakin’ explain to me.
Damn it, I thought the chase was difficult…keeping Raquel alive might prove to be my undoing.
Robyn writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. Her addictions include shoes (the expensive kind), Coke with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, and bejeweled reading glasses. The book started off with so much promise. It should have been better than the others. Only repeated phrases to the point of distraction like (my pants got tight) okay, I got he was always hard for his girl but every time time sees her, he used this phrase or one like it. *SMH* The fact that I noticed was a problem. Additionally, she brings up another current popular book in the story (one she didn’t write). To be honest, it only reminded me how far short this book compared to that one. I wanted this to be a 4 Star read. Sadly it wasn’t. But hey, you might like it. Will I continue? Probably because of the lack of options in this genre. I’ve read just about everything else. And this isn’t horrible. It’s pretty good and kept me entertained.
This was a quick, light read. Heathcliff and Raquel are mates but can't be in a room without tearing it apart. Raquel is determined to keep her distance but Heathcliff is tired of hiding and waiting. This book was funny at times but I missed Astrid's crazy immortal family. Satan makes an appearance and he proves why he is The King of Evil. The story had a light mystery, some new monsters who disappeared too soon and some bloodthirsty toys. The monsters could have turned the weak second half into something explosive & twisty, I missed them. The story is told from Heathcliff's pov which shows us his side of the story but Raquel lost her edge after some chapters. Another fun read from Robyn Peterman.
“Whatever,” she snapped. “I say you offer up your leg, or at least a foot, and let her tear it off. It’s not really normal dating protocol, but we’re Vampyres. I think it might just work.”
UPDATE: after starting book 7, it became clear that the version I read in the anthology, was either not complete or this story was expanded when published on it's own. Which pisses me off ONLY because I didn't know that ahead of time. I would have just bought it and read the expanded version. Now I have to go back, buy it, and read it, because book 7 is talking about shit that happened that I didn't know about. That bugs me, I don't read series out of order if I can help it. And now I'm pissy about it since I had to put 7 on hold after I started it and go back to 6. Which I will, because I guess OCD…but whatever I'm still mad…so to be continued…
I have this one in the Romancing the Paranormal anthology, and I know I've read it before but I really didn't remember it. Turned out for the best though, I really liked it. I liked that it was told from Heathcliff's perspective and I really loved him and Raquel together. You get some good scenes with everyone, Astrid and Ethan, Sammy, and the baby demons. It's a quick, solid, little addition to the Hot Damned series.
Her wild red curls fell into her face. "What should we do?" "We will hold each other close and simply wait to see what fate has in store for us," I said, wrapping her in my embrace and tucking her hair gently behind her ear. "Fate can be a real bitch," Raquel murmured as she held me tight. "True, but she usually has a plan. Tonight I will trust her."
"Fashionably Hotter Than Hell" by Robyn Peterman is book 6 in "The Hot Damned Series". Heathcliff has spent the last two hundred years in a love / hate relationship with Princess Raquel. She rejected his claim that she was his mate at the start of their relationship, and from that point on he has just tried to keep the fiery redhead at a distance. But things are changing in the Vampyre world. His True Immortal relative, Astrid, and Prince Ethan have entrusted both Heathcliff and Raquel with training their fast growing, smarter than Einstein and da Vinci combined son Samuel, in both education and protecting himself. Old issues are popping up, and Heathcliff can no longer ignore them and his feelings for Raquel. Overall, I thought that this was another great addition to this outrageous and extremely funny series. One thing that is different in this novel than the rest of the series is that it is told from a male's perspective. It also adds several new characters to the growing list of nutjobs from the previous books while bringing back much loved characters and putting them in ackward situations. Again, this is another awesome book by Peterman, it's funny and totally my kind of crazy. Can't wait to read whatever she puts out next!

This instalment is the story of Raquel (Ethan's sister) and Heathcliff (Ethan's best friend and cousins to Astrid)
I liked this one very much. It was still chock full of humour and great zany characters but felt less frantic than when we are reading from Astrid's POV. Also as a nice change we were reading from Heathcliff's POV.
Raquel and Heathcliff are fated mates but Raquel has been denying it for centuries, so they have had a but of a volatile relationship till this point.
I loved just how much Heathcliff was in love with Raquel and how much he was willing to give up to just possibly spend one day as a mated couple with her.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Big five stars for this one!!! This is one of my favorite book in this series so far. Exciting from beginning to end. The narrator was great as well. Really enjoying this series. I highly recommend.
Good story, it just ended abruptly. What’s Heathcliffe? Where’s Vlad? This book was about a series of misunderstandings and finding out more about Ethan’s siblings. Overall not a bad story.
"Would you like to share?" he asked as he ran his hands through his hair in frustration. "Do you trust me?" I challenged. "With my life," Ethan said without hesitation. "Then let it be a surprise," I shot back. He considered me for a long moment and then curtly nodded his head. "God," Astrid groused as she ducked to miss a dangling skull. "All you Vampyres are so fucking cryptic and secretive. Drives me nuts." "Darling, you're a Vampyre too," Ethan reminded her. "Yes, but lucky for you I'm also a Demon who can hopefully bust through a nasty ass spell," Astrid declared as she marched ahead ready to save the day. "Damn, she's hot when she does that," Ethan muttered as he quickened his pace and followed his mate. "Are we that obnoxious?" Raquel asked as we watched Ethan grab Astrid's rear end. Astrid's squeal was loud and Ethan's chuckle reverberated through the tunnels. I paused and stared at the beautiful woman I planned to spend eternity with and grinned. "I sure as Hell hope so," I told her. She giggled and pulled me along. "I sure as Hell hope so too," she said. There was nowhere else I'd rather be. Even in the dank eerie caves filled with the deceased beneath Paris, I was happy. As long as I was with Raquel, I would always be happy.
I liked this…but not as much as I expected I would. It was funny, and I really love this series, but this one felt off. I already bitched about mentioned that I started reading book 7 when I realized that the version of this book, that I had already read in an anthology, was expanded when it was published on it's own. And I think that's where my problem with this one lies. The "new" part of this story feels disjointed from the "original" part. The whole tone sort of changes, gets a little sappy in some spots. And the plot takes an entirely new turn. Which isn't bad, per say, but it just doesn't quite mesh. Regardless, I enjoyed it, and I can now happily move on to the next book without feeling (rightfully so) that I'm missing a bunch of important shit.
"What has gotten in to you" Ethan asked as he seated himself directly across from me. "Not sure," I replied. I let my head fall into my hands. "I am," Astrid volunteered. She hopped up, crossed the room with a sleeping Samuel, and tucked him into his big boy bed. His baboon slept contentedly under it on the floor. I was still surprised they'd kept the animal due to the destruction it had caused, but Samuel adored the beast and the feeling was mutual. "Astrid," I warned as I heard her giggle. "Out with it," Ethan said tightly, "unless you want my mate to do your dirty work. And trust me, it will sound far worse coming out of her mouth." "I resent that," Astrid said as she flounced back over and sat on Ethan's lap. "I, ahhh…" I didn't know where to start - or even if I wanted to. We all sat in strained silence and waited to see what I would say. I was more curious than anyone about what might come out of my mouth. "Well, it's like this…" I began slowly. "Oh, for shit's sake," Astrid interrupted. "He's in love with Raquel. They've been doing the horizontal hula for longer than I've been alive. I mean, my Uncle God, the entire compound heard them bumping uglies this morning. I'm quite sure she's his mate and he keeps fucking, pun intended, everything up by sleeping with her and not dating her properly." Ethan was shocked to silence. He had also been correct. The facts were definitely more heinous coming from Astrid's mouth. I watched Ethan closely, inwardly seething. His eyes were closed and his lips were thin. My gut clenched and my instinct was to attack. What the fuck was wrong with me? He was my prince…and my friend. I tamped down my fury with difficulty. I'd had enough of being judged and denied. Did he think I wasn't good enough for her too? "Is this accurate?" he demanded in a choked voice. I was unsure if his loss of voice was from Astrid's choice of words or if he believed I was unfit to be his sister's mate. "Not exactly," I mumbled. "What exactly isn't accurate?" Ethan asked as a small smile pulled at his lips. "Mine's not ugly," I replied evenly. Ethan's smile was now full blown. "And neither is hers." Oh fuck me. Did I say that out loud? If their large eyes and Ethan's pained wince were any indication…I had. "Okay, that's information I could have lived without - forever." Ethan groaned and buried his face in his mate's neck. "That was a little much," Astrid agreed gleefully. The statement was amazingly alarming coming from my cousin. Astrid had no filter whatsoever. With my behavior as of late, I supposed I now qualified for the same club.

"What the Hell do you mean?" she asked nervously. "I'm not sure. Follow me and stay behind me," I instructed. With a huff and a hiss, Raquel punched me in the shoulder. "I'm as powerful as you are," she insisted. "We walk side-by-side." "While that may be true," I conceded. "I'm still a macho cavedude. I just mated with the love of my life, whom I've chased for hundreds of years. It would do wonders for my piece of mind if you would walk behind me." She glared at me and I grinned. Even pissed off she was hotter than Hell. I could literally see her brain working as she tried to win our impasse. Then her eyes lit up and it was all I could do not to slam her against the wall and take her. "What do I get if I do?" she asked as a smile pulled at her beautiful lips. "What do you want?" I asked curious at what she would choose. There was very little if anything I wouldn't do for her and I wondered if she was aware of that fact. "I want to be on top," she informed me with a sexy glint in her eyes and her hands on her shapely hips. "And I get to boss you in the bedroom for an entire evening." "How about this," I countered. "You can boss me in the bedroom for a week straight and every other Tuesday for the rest of eternity if you walk behind me." "Really?" She clapped her hands together with delight and danced in a circle. It was a no brainer and a win-win. Watching her naked and atop me was a fantasy of mine. As long as I ended up buried to the hilt inside her body I didn't give a shit who was in charge. "Really," I promised. "Now get that hot little ass behind me before you force me to spank it and let's find your brother." "Yes, sir," she purred suggestively and dramatically lowered her gaze with a snort. "What was that?" I asked as she continued to giggle. "I was being submissive." She burst into full blown laughter. "Don't you want me to go all Fifty Shades of Mated Vampyre for you?" "Sweet Jesus, did you read that book too?" I asked as I pinched the bridge of my nose and groaned. My gal was anything but submissive, and I liked it just fine - actually I loved it. She was a freaking animal in bed. "You read it?" she demanded shocked. "I most certainly did not," I huffed. "But you said too," she accused. "As in you read it." "Astrid read it and unfortunately, I got a play-by-play synopsis of the damned thing," I said with a sad shake of my head. "Those are hours of my life I will never get back." She laughed and threw her arms around me. "So I take it you read it?" I inquired. She nodded and winked. "I did. It reminded me of Twilight except they screwed all the time." "You know it was based on Twilight fan fiction," I told her. She gaped at me. "What?" "You read Twilight?" "Absolutely not," I snapped. "Astrid did." "I'm starting to think Astrid is a convenient excuse for you to hide your metrosexual reading tendencies." "My metrosexual reading tendencies strictly pertain to the classics, not fiction where Vampyres sparkle in the sun," I informed her flatly.

"How long were you in here?" I asked Raquel as I checked my watch for how much of the night was left. "The entire time," she admitted. "You can't cover your scent." "Says who?" she countered. "Ummm…me?" "Correct," she replied with a smirk. "You assumed I couldn't and never asked me if I could." "Color me stupid," I muttered. "Nope," Raquel disagreed. "Color you overprotective. Sooner rather than later, you'll have to accept that I can take care of myself - been doing it for about five hundred years." She paused and gently laid her hands on my face. "I love you and your sexy ass, but I will put said ass in a sling if you treat me like a helpless female. You are mated to a Master Vampyre," she added with an arched brow and a giggle. "As are you," I told her. "A Master Vampyre with macho caveman bullshit tendencies." "I happen to like those tendencies in the bedroom, but not when you treat me as a lesser in our real life," she replied softly. "That's truly not my intention," I argued. Fuck. Was it? No. I knew how powerful my mate was. It was part of why I loved her. Shit, shit, shit. She was right. "I'm sorry," I apologized. "It was my inner alpha-hole talking. I will try. I will also fuck up. Bear with me." "I accept your apology and I will bear with you till the end of time, Heathcliff. Always."
Yet, another fantastic, foul, fun-filled story in Robyn Peterman's wildly outrageous Hot Damned Series! In Fashionably Hotter Than Hell, we get Heathcliff's and Raquel's story. These two are seriously fun and entertaining characters and had me laughing and sighing with utter bliss. I loved how volatile they were to each other, as they both tried to keep the other away. But once they finally admit to one another that they are mates, things take a turn for the AWESOME! Not only do we get some sizzling, wild love scenes, but we get some problems that they need to solve with the help from all our favorite characters! Astrid, Ethan, and of course, Satan! Laugh your pants off fun follows as well as surprises that will have you groaning and moaning...or that could of been just me! *Wink*
I can never seem to get enough of this series. And FHTH is one of those romances that had me double over laughing and sighing with contentment. The romance is electrifying and the sex is, well, hotter than Hell. Raquel and Heathcliff are explosive together! They fit perfectly and when they rile each other up, and the teeth-grinding commences and the good times roll! I can't help but to love this book.
Fashionably Hotter Than Hell gets an OUTRAGEOUSLY FINE FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its a story so crazy fun and sassy, you just don't want to miss it. Robyn Peterman will delight and give you a one Hell of a good time!
Do I love Robyn Peterman? Yes. Yes, I do! Will I read anything she writes? Yes. Yes, I will! This book features Healthcliff & Raquel's story. And what a story it is! You'll devour it in one sitting. Plenty of laughs, sexy time, and guest appearances!
I literally made myself finish this one.. I am not a fan of romance and all the getting down to it, but with previous books I was able to overlook that as the humor kept me reading. Now this one... I don't think I have ever seen so many references to male reproductive organs in such a small "space". This thing was unbearable, didn't laugh even once and basically suffered through it. I'm even more upset because this is going to be my last book read this year. Shame!
Heathcliff has been chasing Raquel for 200 years but she refuses to mate with him. It becomes clear that she has a secret that is keeping her from doing so. It takes an attack on Astrid and baby Samuel for the secret to come to light. Ethan’s siblings are being kidnapped and cursed and they don’t know who is behind it. Heathcliff and Raquel together figure out what is going on and then call in the troops. Looking forward to what comes next for Heathcliff and Raquel.
My favorite book of the series so far! I've loved Heathcliff since he came into the picture a few books ago so I was excited for his book. There's definitely a more serious tone to this book vs the others, but I quite liked the change of pace. And of course you can always count on Astrid to show up and lighten the mood.
Victor Bevine does a decent job of narrating. But I really would have preferred Jessica Almasy honestly. Even though this book is solely from the POV of Heathcliff... Jessica just does better voices for the rest of the characters. I sincerely missed her narration.
That being said...this was a really good book. The Cressida House is attacked by trolls & wraiths and it puts everyone on alert. Heathcliff and Raquel have been bedding each other for a couple of centuries but not allowed themselves to be anything more...which causes a lot of chaos, fighting and a lot of things being thrown. I couldn't believe the way they insulted each other! It sounded so hateful and cruel! Of course, their love story is at the forefront of this book.
The Royal Siblings are - Ethan (Prince), Raquel (Princess), Gareth, Alexander, Layla and one other whose name I can't remember. There is also a half-sibling named Juliet - the one who went missing for a long, long time & then ended up being a half-sister also to Astrid. Even though Astrid & Ethan are not blood related at all. And we learn of one more half-sibling as well.
Several of the Royal Siblings are kidnapped, locked in a cage and are slowly aging. It has a hero party thoroughly worried - Astrid, Ethan, Heathcliff, Raquel, Pam, the King and Raquel's royal guard.
And just to make sure that events get as fluffed up as possible - there's a summit going on between Angels & Vampires.... AND Satan's been invited.
Overall it was still a really great listen. Just not one of my top books in the series
Heathcliff has been in love with Raquel for more than two hundred years and he knows in his dead heart that she is his mate but she refuses to mate with him. That doesn't mean that she won't tie one on with him behind closed doors but he's had enough of hiding and being turned away. Now that the two of them have put in charge of teaching Sammy, a tiny little immortal that's way too smart for his own good, he finds that gets harder everyday to pretend that he doesn't have feelings for her and he refuses to ask her again to be his mate.
Raquel knows that Heathcliff is her mate but she's hiding a secret that she refuses to tell. When all hell breaks lose and yet another evil comes to the home of her sister in law and brother she knows that it's time that her secret must come to an end. Will it be too late coming though and more important when it does will Heathcliff still have feelings for her?
This book is part of a series called Romancing the Paranormal Tales and I must admit it's the one reason that I purchased the boxed set. This series as well all of Robyn Peterman's other books are some of my all time favorite books. This book does seem to end in a somewhat cliffhanger and I know that it's not the end of the series but unfortunately it looks to be the last one that's been released so far. If your looking for some laugh out loud funny moments, then I suggest that you pick any of Robyn's books because any one of them are sure to make you smile.
Wonderfully Witty! Plots of takeover, subterfuge, espionage and curses! Newly mated Heathcliff and Raquel, plus Astrid and Ethan and all the beloved wacky family members return for the hilarious new installment Fashionably Hotter Than Hell (Hot Damned #6) gives an exciting rollercoaster ride of intrigue and attempted assassination of our Royal Family of Vampires at a Summit Meeting of the Angels and Vampires. Kidnapping intentions for Baby Samuel and Raquel go awry and a plot to overthrow The Vampire King and His Children is uncovered bit by delicious bit, teasing and tickling our reading palates. Add Uncle Satan, Vampire Vlad the Impaler, a host of Angels and Vampire Warriors and it is a buffet of epic proportions. Brava, Robyn Peterman!!! Yes, you did it again!!!
Review by: Candace Fox Genre`: Paranormal Romance/Comedy 5 Candi Kisses Vampires and Angels, Oh My!! Demons and Wraiths and Trolls , OH MY!!!
I love, love love Robyn Peterman. Her writing is so funny I get the evil eye from the hubby before page 4, and I count on it..hehe.. Astrid must help her cousin Heathcliff and his reluctant Mate Raquel in this action packed, potty mouthed, hilarious story of true love denied.
Heathcliff knows Raquel is his mate, Raquel know Heathcliff is her mate. So whats the problem? Well thats a little complicated and takes us into the world of Satan taunting Dracula (hehe) with actors who have played him in movies and I was howling...Then we have Angel Summits and Evil Siblings and everything needed to make this book a smashing success. Have I mentioned I love Robyn Peterman....just sayin
This one was really hard. Different narrator. It was a guy (as I said at the beginning of my reading; it's consistent & appropriate for the narrator to change up since the MC in this one was one of the men in the series & told from his POV) narrating, and he didn't get a lot of the nuance of the over-the-top style of the author & characters, which is really a must for this series or else the books come across as just overblown crazy. A better male narrator (especially on women's voices) would have made this less of a chore, but I think it would take a fantastic one to really capture the author's intent. I listened to this one solely because I've loved the series up to this point, and the next book goes back to the original main female as the lead. Unfortunately, it's not out on audio yet. Le sigh...
This book just proves the point that everyone in Astrids family besides being all crazy in their own way Still come together and help each other out. I'm so happy that Heathcliff didn't give up on Raquel with her feistyness . What I enjoyed the most was when Uncle Satan was asked to help. Now that Flucker (yes I purposely misspelled it) is beyond crazy funny. I don't want to say too much here because I honestly think that I will spill the beans so I highly recommend that you READ THIS FASHIONABLY CRAZY FUNNY MOTHERHUMPING SERIES NOW!!!!! ENJOY!!!
Robyn Peterman, I think it's a moot point to say I loved this book too. I just want to say tell us more about Astrids family and friends please.
This is number 6 in the series-and I would say that if any of them could be read as a stand alone-maybe its this one. This is Heathcliff an Raquel's story. Wildness ensues....who can imagine chasing after your mate for over 200 years...wowl How far would you go for love? What would you do for love? These are the ultimate questions...yes this book is still fun, quirky, zany and full of laughter but underneath you can look for deeper meaning. Wow..there is even suspense in this one. So if you are opposed to violence, explicit sex, laughter, these are not for you. Otherwise I would say give these books a go.
Heathcliff and Raquel lived up to this series. I thoroughly enjoyed every single page and characters. This book will have you bursting out in spontaneous laughter. I don't normally say this in real life. But I love me some Satan. I wish I was at the gathering where this line came into play, " I want to suck your blood." RP has done it again with this novel. Thank and bravo.
I have really been looking forward to Heathcliff and Raquel's story. And Robyn didn't disappoint! I was hooked from page one. I laughed so hard when Satan had all the Dracula's teasing Vlad. I am curious to see what new powers Heathcliff has now and am looking forward to learning more about Raquel's other family. Especially Garath. Oh...and I learned a few more new words! Thanks Robyn..my vocabulary is growing! haha!
With every one of these books I'm amazed at the author's wonderful imagination. These books are funny, exciting, sexy and just all around love able. If you are a fan of the Hot Damned Series you want to read this book. If you are just a fan of an all around good book than you want to read this book. The cuss words she comes up with are freaking awesome
I love reading all of robyn's books especially the hot damned series I can see all the characters in my head while I'm reading Samuel is the cutest baby the baby demons make me laugh so does the devil when he can't understand when something he says or does could be wrong if you haven't read any of the hot damned series yet do they will make you laugh out loud .
Raquel and Heathcliff, he's has chased her for hundreds of years and she has run scared thinking she was saving him omg seriously it's right out of a mills and boons romance lol but will these true mates finally get their happily ever after????? Or will they kill each other with their love or will someone else wipe them off the planet so many many options.
Someone asked me what I liked about these books and my answer was that they are funny and so ridiculous that it's hard not to enjoy yourself while reading them. This book was no exception. Heathcliff finally gets his story and it was chaos as usual. Read the series in order and have a good time. 4 stars
Absolutely fantastically hilarious non stop calamity! Heathcliff and Raquel's story was adorable with the I'll pull your hair tactics to show you care. Also Samuel is truly a marvel that I can't wait to read more about and just like with his mom the stuff that comes out of his mouth OMG lol.
Rachel and Heathcliff are hotter than hell!! This was by far the best book in the series. I live Ethan and Astrid but I adore these two!! Trolls, wraiths, vamps and bad angels, what could be better??!!!
Fantastic book couldn't put it down, loved the crazy romance between the couple's. some parts I really laughed out loud, and Lucifer is just like a naughty teenager whenever he pops up. Can't wait for book 7. Well Done Robyn Peterman
Funny great series!!!! I love them all!!! I can't wait for the next one!!! Love Robyn Peterman and her funny pee you panties funny writing!!! Buy it!! Buy the series!!! You will laugh thru each one!!
