Rollercoaster ride

This book had me in my feelings one minute and ready to fight the next. I hope that Micah can get his life together. I’m so ready to read about the next chapter in everyone lives.

I found myself glued to the first book in this series, was pissed off by the end of the second, skipped the third, and now I've read the fourth...I just don't think I can bring myself to read anymore.

The story is all over the place. There's way too many people to keep track of first off. Pretty much everyone in this author's other series is mentioned in this one. Even if they don't physically show up they're mentioned by other characters. And not to mention that Mr. Grant's world is so small that everyone is this series knows or is related to someone else in this series or others. It's kind of annoying because there's just no way this many people would be connected in real life. Not mention that all fifty million of these characters are gay.

I honestly feel like the author wants to write a story with all kinds of drama, but doesn't know how to do it properly. The same repetitive things keep happening in every single book of this series I've read so far. Everyone's on the "down low", everyone's cheating (even though they claim to know it's wrong), everyone's lying, everyone's got a baby mama and a kid, everyone makes bad decisions, and in this series it just never ends.

And to top it off the writing itself isn't really that great. My copy of this book was littered with typos. The dialogue is really weird sometimes. The character's speak to each other in a way I don't think anyone would on the occasion. And if I see the word "stated" one more time I think I might scream.

I enjoyed one of Jaxon Grant's series before (until he ruined the end with unnecessary shock factor) and I enjoyed part of this series too in the beginning, but until he gets an editor and realizes that there's more ways to create drama than having everyone cheat on one another.
