Roller Rink Witchcraft (Extended Edition) contains both volumes, details below.

In the small town of Waresville, witches, goblins, and ghouls are money in the townspeople’s pockets. Without the magic stores on every corner and spooky tour bus ride, how would a place nicknamed “Wheresville” survive? But when Harper “Foxxy” Beck, owner of the Funky Wheel and all-around groovy witch, finds her murdered accountant plastered to her floor, the citizens are taught a valuable lesson about creatures that go bump in the night: They kill. Turning Harper’s world on its head, the police arrest someone close to her, and she’s forced to investigate to clear her friend’s name. But as this foxy lady gets closer to the true identity of the killer and the alluring Detective Bennett, the man actually assigned to the case, the quiet town of Waresville turns into a dangerous place for a meddling witch.

Suddenly, her long-standing roller rink is a battleground for a satanic witch, and suspects are popping up everywhere she looks. When a second body appears, shattering everything she thought she knew about the murders, Harper needs to decide whom she can trust. With the help of her cape-wearing best friend, her hunky detective, and her terrifying witch of a grandmother, Harper must use the clues before her to solve the case— but in a town with hundreds of years of feuds and spooky happenings, will she be able to dig up the truth before hers is the next head on the chopping block?

Roller Rink Witchcraft (Harper “Foxxy” Beck #1) by Raven Snow is a clever mystery with witches and magic. It is a good prequel to introduce the characters and get a feel for the writing. I enjoyed it and think I would like to see more of this witchy world.

Well this was okay. A little too short for the amount of details but hay that's just a personally opinion. I liked the characters and there was some good humor in parts. I feel having 3 murders in such a short time made it a little unbelievable and the mystery part seemed rushed.

Good witches, bad witches--Waresville is filled with witches! "Harper “Foxxy” Beck, owner of the Funky Wheel and all-around groovy witch" has only recently moved back to Waresville to take over the roller skating rink after her father died. She loves what she does and who she does it with. All the characters in this book are exactly that -Characters.

When Foxxy finds her accountant murdered in her roller skating rink she becomes embroiled in the investigation. What is at the bottom of the murder(s) will throw you for a loop. And as for that Detective who she can't seem to get rid of---and her Grandmother who wants Foxxy to take over the Magic shop and let the roller rink go---and that oh so sweet next door neighbor of her Grandmother's----

This is a roller coaster ride that does not stop. This is the first in this series-looking forward to the 2nd!

Harper lives in Waresville, which is home to all manner of supernatural and paranormal folk, making it a tourist destination. She owns the local roller rink, where she loves to get her groove on. When Harper's accountant is found murdered, ritualistic style, in the Funky Wheel, the police suspect her bouncer. Harper knows he didn't do it, but as she begins to do some investigating on her own, she becomes the target of death threats. The detective assigned to the case, Wyatt Bennett, insists that Harper stay out of it, but she refuses to let it go. Once a second body is found in the Funky Wheel, Harper's theory about who murdered whom is blown out of the water. Fortunately, one small clue she unearthed is the key to the mystery.

While it sounds like a fun story, it wasn't. I mean, the premise is great, but the writing fell flat. While I got a sense of Harper's personality, other characters were two-dimensional. The reader never even gets a physical description of Harper. I surmised she was poc, but I can't be sure. I like to be able to "picture" characters in my mind as I read.

The story really could have used some fleshing out and more details. There wasn't a lot of continuity, either. I have some others in this series on my Kindle, and I'll give them a try, in hopes the author improved.

Witches, a 70 themed roller rink, and a town called Waresville makes me laugh out loud!

Roller Rink Witchcraft is a laugh out loud, mystery full of quirky characters in a town that makes a living off of all things magic and spooky. The quirkiest is witch is Harper "Foxxy" Beck who runs the 70's theme roller rink called the Funky Wheel. Foxxy's world is turned upside down when she discovers a body pinned to the floor of the roller rink one morning, a victim of some kind of satanic ritual. Events just get more crazy as Foxxy tries to clear a friend of the murder, while trying to stay out of trouble with the sexy police detective in charge of the investigation. It is quite a fun-filled romp from beginning to end. I only wish there was a little more time to get to know the rest of the town's characters! If you are looking for a laugh a minute pick up Roller Rink Witchcraft!

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Funky Foxxy

Cute, short, and an interesting atmosphere. A town of supernaturals, or at least witches that don't appear to hide what they are, but there is no mention of whether it is common knowledge outside of their town in Florida. Murders in a roller rink, the Funky Wheel, send the owner on a search of her own for the culprit, while at the same time developing feelings for the detective on the case. It's funny, clean of vulgar language and although sex is mentioned, it's not described. There is description of a couple of dead bodies and mention of blood, but not in-depth.

Pleasant surprise

I didn’t go into this expecting much, witches in a roller rink had so many ways it could go wrong. Instead, I found a cute cast of characters. The story isn’t long enough to really create that much of a mystery, but what was there was okay. Same with the paranormal portion. Not especially deep, but Foxxy is more a roller rink owner who happens to be from a witchy family than a witch in her own right.

I will probably keep going with the series, knowing up front what I’m getting into - quick, light reads.

A Foxxy Lady named Harper

Harper is a free spirit living in a witchy town. When a man is killed in her roller rink, she is determined to find the killer and exonerate her friend. Strange things happen in this strange town so she better get to the truth fast. I enjoyed Harper’s strong and eccentric character, but I thought the reason the police arrested her friend was very flimsy. At the conclusion of this story you realize there are still many unanswered questions. Foxxy should be fun to follow.

Suspenseful, intriguing mystery

Foxxy inherited a roller rink from her father, and she has a strange relationship with her grandmother. Raven Snow writes her descriptions with flair and a sense of humor. A murder takes place at the roller rink, and Detective Wyatt Bennett is assigned to the case. Sparks fly between Foxxy and Wyatt. It was very difficult to put down this book. You must read this book to find out how it unfolds. Happy reading! 😊

Entertaining but a little flat.

For a cozy mystery this book was entertaining. I did not enjoy that the author chose to not develop her characters. She wrote straight story in this book. I do plan to give this author one more time to give her readers a fully developed book & not just a story.

Sassy, determined "Foxxy" saves the day!

To Foxxy her friends and her place of business are the most important thing in the world. When a body is found at The Funky Wheel with all the markings of a ritual killing, Foxxy doesn't wait around for the cops to find the killer. A really unique book.

Harper "Foxxy" inherited the roller rink, from her father. It's her home as well, the loft above the rink. She is also a witch. When she finds a body sacrificed in the middle of the rink floor, things get really crazy! Full of action, with great characters and plot, loved it! I received a complimentary copy and freely give my honest review.

A small town full of witches and wizards has a crime spree aimed at their roller rink and it's owner.

When "Foxxy" comes downstairs to open up her roller rink for the day she finds a dead body taped to the middle of the rink floor surrounded by black magic items her life starts to get very interesting, and not in a good way.

Witchy weird

Ok so you have Harper that is a with but you really don't see any witchcraft, which that in itself is odd especially for a witch book?

A dead body in her roller rink brings in a detective. And then the hunt to find the killer is on. It was easy to figure out who did it.

Good Read

This is a wacky funny mystery. "Foxxy" is sarcastically funny & Groovy. A witch that's not a witch in the way her fathers family is or because this is new to her? Dead bodies and Grannies mix it up. Got to love it.

Fun! Harper owns a roller-skating rink and engages in all the fun associated with that world. But when she finds her accountant murdered and a friend and employee is accused, she has to get involved. This is a short book but Raven creates well-rounded characters and interesting relationships.

Super quick, fun read. The dialogue is funny. I actually forgot this was a magical town filled with creatures with different abilities because we don't really get any magical element until almost the very end. I'll be reading this author again.
