Filled with guilt over his past decisions and then his wife dying, Bart sails the Caribbean alone doing what he can to recover. The island governments don't like him offering his services without paying the proper taxes and tributes. Pamela Crane, talked into a cruise with her abusing husband in an attempt at reconciliation, finally decides she's divorcing him even though he begs for her to stay. The husband resorts to violence as revenge and the man who sails the Caribbean rescues her from the ocean. Then he finds out who she really is and things get complicated. After a few days they realize the chemistry between them is too tempting to ignore. Desires flare explosively into an intimate morning neither one will soon forget. The problems escalate as she doesn't want to be involved with a "pirate" and he still has memories that haunt him. The return to the US with plans to prosecute Pamela's husband. Problems continue to arise as they sort out what to do with each other.
A native of southwest Virginia, Jess Carr lived and worked among the mountain people most of his life. He was a graduate of Coyne Technical School in Chicago, and served with the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Before be began his full-time writing career, Mr. Carr held a variety of jobs including country store-keeper, part-time barber, lumberjack, and president of a commercial printing firm.
