Dealing with family is never easy, and Clover Trace really has her hands full - her dad is lovable but stubborn, her cousin Jason isn’t cooperating, and her mom is a ghost. Yep, things are weird in Wilder.
When Clover stumbles across a body in Wilder Woods, her surprise quickly turns to worry. Who is the girl, and why was she hiding out in the woods? When the truth shows up in the form of powerful men and troublesome secrets, Clover’s only choice is to seek justice and hope that she doesn’t become the next target of angry, ambitious men.
Another dead body for Clover to deal with. If you like a cozy mystery with a splash of witchcraft and a pinch of ghosts you'll love this. Terrific read, hope there are more
Looking forward to reading book 3. I do hope she writes more for this series. The main people are either very likable, and the bad guys are easy to dislike.
Clover is starting to settle into her Aunt Sage's old home along reconnecting with her cousin, Jason. Clover spent most of her time cleaning up the first floor so she can move her dad from the senior assisted living back home with her and also with her ghostly Mother in tow. Clover & Jason were taking a box of items to the Silvertone family by walking through a path from her property through Wilder Woods. One of the children had mentioned their was a shorter path for them to take back to Clover's residence. While walking through the woods Clover tripped over what she thought was a stump but instead a pink Nike. Upon further investigation their was a dead girl off on the path. Who would want to murder this young woman who goes by the name of Angel? Will Clover help Dante with this mystery like she die before? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can't wait for the third book to come out hopefully soon.
"Wild Angel" is the second book in "A Wilder Witch Mystery" series by Jade Wolfe. Clover's life has done a complete 180 degrees since she moved back home to Wilder, Virginia. She survived finding her aunt's killer, inheriting some magic in the form of rune reading, and a huge house with a bank account designed to give her younger cousin, Jason, a living allowance. Part of her responsibilities is to also help the families of squatters who live in the near by woods. Early one morning, Clover and Jason, trip over the body of a young woman. As a person of interest in the case, Clover will have to find the girl's killer before she can help free the woman's spirit. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this series. It was a fun read with complex characters. I can't wait to see what will happen next.
This is a good start to a series. I look forward to book 3. The first book was difficult to get into. I reread many pages it the first three chapters. Once I got into the series I really liked it. Great characters. Wonderful humor. Fantastic ghost interaction. Found too many typos. But I really look forward to next adventures in #3. D Page
This was an interesting story but not yet finished is it? So I am assuming there will be another story soon? The hole time reading this I kept feeling I've read it before, weird .
I am enjoying the series. I love the ghosts, interesting way to keep the family together. In do wish the stories were proofed better. Several spelling issues and in this book duplicated sentences. I find it distracting. Looking forward to the next book.
They tell you a tale and introduce you to likeable characters....take you on a journey and then....you have to wait for the Next book! Lucky for me....it will be worth the wait. Delightful series.
I read both books in the series and they're actually very good . I hope she can follow up in the next one . A little editing wouldn't hurt anything though . And the fact that she keeps changing one of the characters names from Caroline to Catherine didn't go unnoticed .
A old fashion who done it, with twists and turns leaving you guessing who the killer is. Clover stumbles over a dead body in the woods and the race is on to discover who she is and why she was killed. The runes give the clues but its up to Clover and Dante to figure out the meaning.
