This is the third and final book in the Red Light: Silver Girls series and I hate to see it end! I have loved all the characters that DK has created in this series. This final installment is every bit as good as the other two, but it is more gritty and raw! As with all books in this series, Fall Gently can be read as a stand-alone.

Roni description

Veronica (Roni) Glenn had a very tough life. Her mother died when she was young and she was left with her stepfather, since her grandparents were elderly. At 16 he started sexually abusing her, and finally at 17 years old, she left to live on the streets. She felt it was better than being in that house with that man. Roni lived in a shelter when she could and then Vince came into her life. He promised her safety, protection, and love. This lasted for a week before Vince really showed who he was, the leader of the Yesler Street Gang who physically and sexually abused women and pushed them into prostitution. Roni was his favorite so she was forced to live with him and put up with his abuse. She was befriended by Jackie Carver, another prostitute that would help Roni after she was beaten by Vince. Jackie too was fooled by Vince’s charm, but she was making plans to escape Vince and bring Roni with her. Roni was able to escape, but Jackie was not so lucky.

Dawson description

Dawson Carver was a previous member of the Yesler Street Gang and he spent months trying to find Roni after he got out of prison. He had made promises to his sister Jackie that he would keep her safe and give Roni the chance to start a new life. When Dawson finally found Roni, she was working for the Network in Federal, Idaho working as a prostitute. When he showed up, Roni was terrified that Vince had found her and sent Dawson to bring her back to Seattle, until Dawson told her that Vince was dead. He also had to give her the news that Jackie was murdered. Roni was devastated that her friend was dead, but was relieved that Vince was dead. The thing she just didn’t understand was why was Dawson here to help her.

Dawson couldn’t’ save his sister, but he was going to do everything in his power to help Roni. He stayed in Federal to convince her to leave prostitution and return to Seattle with him to make a fresh start now that Vince was dead and the Yesler Street Gang had disbanded. He offered to help her get settled and find a job that didn’t involve prostitution. Dawson was trying hard to fight his attraction to Roni because he felt he had nothing to offer her and he had secrets that if revealed, she would hate him.

Roni grew to trust and enjoy her time with Dawson. She was letting down her guard. She was developing feelings for Dawson and wanted to have a real relationship with him, but she had a hard time adjusting to his kindness. She was waiting for him to be like Vince, but he never mistreated her or took advantage of her. There is so much I want to tell you because I really loved this book and this series, but you really need to read it for yourself.

This love story had some real difficult things to read about, but it was amazing to see how the characters developed and overcame the tragedies and adversities. Their relationship grew from friendship to love and with that growth it allowed them to heal from the scars of the past. This story truly touched my heart and I loved every painful page!

I am sad to see the Red Light: Silver Girls end, but I am ready for the next DK adventure.

Another 5 star read. This one (the last one in the series) is a little more gritty. Roni is so broken and has suffered so much. Dawson just wanted to help. It started out as a promise and turned into so much more. This was a man that thought about his actions and how they would affect Roni. My heart hurt for all 3 , yes I said 3, characters. There is an unsung hero in this book...guess you'll have to read to see who I mean.

PS we get a glimpse of where Tiff and Jeremy are too.

**Carla's Five Star Review**

Fall Gently is a standalone with a HEA.

After losing her mother at a young age, Roni Glenn has only known pain and abuse. After running away from her abusive stepfather, she finds herself in the clutches of Vince, the infamous leader of the Yesler Street Gang. To say her life is a living hell would be a huge understatement! When freedom presents itself, Roni once again runs. She eventually finds herself working at the Redlight, an illegal bordello, in Federal Idaho. She feels safe and secure there until the man with the sparrow tattoo shows up.

Dawson Carver is a broken man suffering from some major survivor's guilt. He is determined to keep the promise he made to his sister to help her friend, Roni, escape from a life of prostitution. What he doesn't expect is to fall head over heels in love with her. Through patience and understanding, he gains Roni's trust and eventually her love. While it it obvious these two belong together, Dawson is keeping a secret that has the power to end things before they even begin.

Oh how I loved this book! If ever two people deserved love and happiness, it was Dawson and Roni. They were two broken people who came together to offer each other healing and support. If you are looking for a heartbreaking love story that will leave you with a myriad of emotions, look no further! Debra Kayn is a very talented author who knows how to craft a story like no other. Through this series (and others she has written), she shows that all people no matter their lifestyle deserve to be treated with grace and dignity. With all that is going on in our world today, I think this is something we would all do well to remember! Another great book, Debra!!

Debra Kayn has brought readers on an amazing journey with her romance stories starring prostitutes and I am so glad I went on this ride with her. Her storytelling is brilliant and it evokes so many different emotions as you're reading that by the end, you're just sitting there thinking "wow".

I fell hard for Dawson and Roni's story in Fall Gently, the last book in the series. Roni does not trust easily and she has good reasons why; she is a survivor and needs to remain in control of her life now that she's free. My heart broke for her as I read what she's had to endure and the tough choices she's had to make in order to survive. When Dawson comes into her life, she is scared to death because of his ties to her past, but his caring, protectiveness and patience has her falling gently in love with him. Dawson suffers from survivor's guilt and my heart ached for him as well; those scenes were gut-wrenching and brilliantly written. He and Roni were meant to be together but he is carrying a burden that will make or break this couple.

What a thrilling ride this author has brought us readers on! Only Debra Kayn would be able to write sexy, gritty, gut-wrenching and heart-stopping romance stories about prostitutes that have you wanting more. It is quite fitting that Fall Gently is the last book of the Red Light: Silver Girls series as it also nicely ties up the Moroad MC series too.

What can I say about this book? At first I had a whole bunch of emoticons on how I felt, but that won't work here. This book will tear you down and then build you back up. It will break your heart for the hero and heroine. It shows you how the scars of your childhood and decisions make you who you are today. Survival of the human spirit is captured in this book so eloquently. The things you do to escape your circumstances and how you rectify those mistakes that are traumatic are beautifully delivered in a way that will make your heart hurt. My review may not make sense, but once you read the book it will.
DK saved the best for last. This book delivers on every level. I am such a fan of this author because she thinks outside the box. She takes on sensitive subject matter and writes with grace and dignity to what the characters went through. She makes you feel the love and compassion that is restored to Roni and Dawson. This is a beautiful love story between 2 broken hearts who didn't know they would need each other and would be two broken souls healing each other. Heed her warnings & buckle up because this is not a book for the faint of heart!
Fear, Courage, Loyalty, and Strength will take on a whole new meaning as you read this book.

Definitely different

This series has given an unexpected opportunity to look at a profession that is definitely taboo in most communities. It brings a humanity to the women involved. And at the same time, it's simply a love story, about love healing a woman terribly abused. Her learning to love herself, even more than the hero loving her. Looking forward to the next adventure Debra has planned for us!!

Speechless in the Beauty of the Story

Debra Kayn has done it again. The deep emotions of all the characters were so well written. This is no ordinary story, you actually get the feelings that Roni is experiencing right down to the mints. Even people who have experienced a poor child hood can with the support of the right person can find happiness in their lives.

Fall Gently (Red Light: Silver Girls series #3)

Dawson comes to the rescue for a young runaway named Roni. After Roni escapes an abusive pimp, she begins working for The Network aka Red Light Bordello in Idaho. Dawson gains her trust and in the process shows Roni he genuinely cares about her future. He's the only one that cinvinces her to leave the life. I gave the last book of this series a 2.9 🌟 rating.

Roni has escaped a lifetime of abuse and found safety working at Red Lights. Not one day goes by that she doesn't live in fear of being found by the dangerous man from her past. Then one day a man comes into her room and she sees a familiar tattoo on his hand. Dawson tells her that the threat from her past is gone, there is nothing to fear anymore and he wants to help her. She doesn't trust him at first but then slowly starts to hope that there is a chance for her to change her life and find peace and happiness. But Dawson has secrets of his own and a past that haunts him. He can't forget that he failed to protect his sister and his only purpose in life is to keep the promise he made to her. Will Roni and Dawson be able to make a new life together or will their past tear them apart? An amazing story of survival and love! An emotional read that will fill your heart with hope! Dawson and Roni have been through hell but manage to fight for their life and their love and survive. I love this author and can't wait for her next book!

A story of the journey of two people who find love after experiencing heart break and tragedy in their life. Roni has been victimized by the people who are supposed to love and care for her. She's lived on the streets and has had no one to support or love her. She's made bad choices and is afraid to make any choice now because of the abuse she has suffered. She has no trust. Dawson tried to be strong and take care of his sister but he also made bad decisions along the way and now he doubts he can be the person Roni needs in her life but he's determined to save her from the life she is currently living. This is a story of two people who grow strong together, supported each other and nourished the love and trust that slowly developed between them. A touching story that will make you feel sad at time for the hardship these two endured. But in the end they won.

Best ever

Roni is such a strong woman. Enduring everything she had in life and learning to trust and love again has to be one of the hardest things for an abused woman to endure. Dawson is such an incredible man to be able to help her reach these goals while enduring his own personal torments. Putting her before everyone and everything. Best in the Silver girl series.

All of the books in this series are done very well. The story, the characters and the overall writing style connects and allows you to see the point-of-view from the inside out.

I waited till all three books were available before I started reading. So worth the wait. Once again, Debra brings out the best of those we aren't suppose to like
