Sasha…
As life continues on, some things must come to an end. That is the unspoken truth we fear to acknowledge. We’ve journeyed over the course of a moment in time together as my life has taken on new meaning. But happily ever after never did come easy. Come walk with me as the seasons change and I learn to find balance in the presence of life-altering tragedy.

Etienne…
Nannau, you devilish goddess in the heavens, this is really happening, isn’t it? My past fears will be made present as I am forced to face that in which I run from. Will the world stop? Will the other half of my soul break off and turn from me only to leave me dust in the wind in her wake?

Aiden…
I never asked for this; I never wanted this. I have my life planned out to a T. Nowhere on that map were there detours like this. My flesh is not my own. My DNA is sequenced to become something else entirely, something I fear… that I don’t understand. And at the heart of it, my once-spoken truths are proving to be lies as I meet my future head-on.

Ethan…
My brother may be shortsighted on this new development, but I embrace it. I feel as if my destiny is awakening. Mom didn’t do us a favor holding out on us for so long. I wish she had been honest from the beginning. Oh well, it’s time to do this now.

What inspired you to write your first Novel? "My girlfriends and I were sitting around discussing our latest reads, all the perfect Cinderella type romance novels that are out there and how we would like to read something that more could relate to. I have been an avid reader since I was a child and love to write, so I decided to write something for us. A not so perfect love story; one that had a little humor, tied in some vampires, a little adult content, morally hard choices and was a satisfying read for all those hard working readers who want some good ole' junk food for the brain when they come home after a long day at work."
Raised in California she moved to Colorado to pursue her education and fell in love with the area as well as her now husband.

Though Kristina loved her art and literature classes in college she put that to the side in order to start her career in nursing. After establishing her career she felt something was missing. While she adores being a nurse she felt her artistic side was calling and started to pick up her writing and painting again, setting aside a few hours a day on her day's off. After a period of time she found that her short story had grown into her first novel. Writing is a passion of hers and she feels the greatest achievement in her art is creating works that bring enjoyment to others.

She continues to reside in Colorado with her husband and children. Kristina is working on her third novel, part III of The Lunar Eclipse Series.

It looks like I am the odd one out again with this book. It just didn't work for me. Although I am suspicious of some of the 5 star reviews that sound a bit generic and don't mention anything that occurred in the story.

Admittedly, I have had trouble with Sasha, the heroine, since the first book. In fact, I liked her best when she was catatonic in the Midnight Unveiled. But the series improved with each installment and my love for Etienne was able to overcome Sasha's more annoying traits. Unfortunately, in this installment, my ire for Sasha picked back up and the story didn't engage me enough to overlook her immature and rash behavior. Sasha has always been willfully blind, and that tends to get on my nerves, but even Etienne called out her "blissful ignorance" in this installment. I really expect more common sense and rational behavior from a heroine who is 40ish.

Etienne's character was not as prevalent in this book. Don't get me wrong, he was around... but we got less of his POV. That was disappointing as he was the driving force behind my 4 Star review in Midnight Unveiled. Though we did see more of his aggravation with Sasha, which I was feeling right along with him.
I can't take your level of blissful ignorance... or is it just self-deprecating behavior.
[...]
I am your mate, I am your other half, I have been through hell and back, for you, and yet you fail to talk to me!
Amen Etienne, I feel you.

The writing style of this book was very dichotomous. Sometimes there was purple prose and lofty thoughts/ideals, and others the writing devolved into immature slang and crass language. For example, we have Etienne musing...
Would she still love me and think me suited to stand by her side if she knew the extent of the damage I have manifested? [...]
Perhaps that is the primary in this complicated equation of conflicted emotions.
While Sasha's thoughts are usually more along the lines of,
I am pretty sure he could titty fuck me while standing if he came up on his tiptoes.
[...]
My cherry red lips pout as I eye fuck all the food on the table, trying to decide where to start.
The plot conflicts were also abrupt and resolved too easily, while mundane matters and inner monologues had a lot of filler detail.

I still loved Niall, Sasha's father. He was a gregarious and likable character, though his Irish accent was a bit overdone. I am glad she stopped treating him poorly and opened up to having a relationship, and allowing him into his grandsons' lives.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. There were editing and word usage issues, which hopefully are corrected before the final version is released. 2 stars / 3 flames.

Vampires better than the Twilight Saga.
Reading this book has given me so many emotions that this review is hard to write.
I love reading about the love between Etienne and Sasha.
Their bond, they are so connected that when they're together, it's off the charts but like every good couple, their insecurities and lack of communication has them fighting each other instead of working together.
Sasha's powers are constantly evolving and she's learning more about them that it scares her and they seek outside help to get a handle on it.

If I keep going, I'll be spoiling the book so let me talk about the author and the writing.
Kristina Canady is a woman who has so much talent that when you're reading this series, you are Sasha or Etienne.
You are transformed into her book, you feel the pain, love, and fears of the characters.
The sex is so hot that you need to fan yourself and have a fresh set of batteries.

This part of the series we saw more of her relationship with her twin boys Adien and Ethan.
Through out all the bumps in the road, secrets, and dealing with the PTSD from being held captive, Sasha always puts her friends and family first.
The writing in the book flows where you sit down and get lost in the words until you realize you read the whole book in a few short hours.
Kristina Canady get better with each book.
I cried, laughed, cheered, and threw my Kindle while reading this book.
It has it all and I'm just blown away by this series.

I received this book for an honest review.

MIND BLOWN!!!
Part IV picks up right where Part III ended as Etienne and Sasha fly to check on the Twins at college. The twins don't understand why their mom and new step dad have just shown up at their school and why they have to leave. Sasha finally explains everything to them and their shocked to say the least to find out that their going to turn into vampires. Sasha wants to do everything she can to help ease the turn for the boys, while still learning about her new abilities. Ms. Canady weaves a wonderful tale of Etienne and Sasha along with bringing the Twins into the story more. You flow merrily along waiting for the turn to happen and to see how each young man handles it. Then from out of no where she hits you with a mind blown twist that has you saying WTF???? Where did that come from!!! Kudos to Ms. Canady for a mind blowing story.

Just when you didn't think this series could get any better this book came along! The book picks up with Sasha and Etienne going to see her boys and find out what's going on with them. When they get there life changes for everyone. The surprises, the heat, the emotions will have you begging for more. I don't want to say much about the story because then it'll give things away and you just have to read to find out. All the favorites from the previous books are in this one to help tell this story.

The author tells a story where everyone involved is important in some way. The characters are amazing and you just feel like you're beside them. Be prepared to feel it all and do a lot of gasping and yelling at the book. I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens next!!! A must read!

This was my first time for reading anything by Kristina Canady and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this great story. Kristina Canady has given us a magical well written story that draws you into it's pages and keeps us there from start to finish. The storyline is great and the twist and turns will astound you. The characters in this story are strong and amazing sassy, and sweet deadly and very handsomely gorgeous. All the elements are timed surprisingly well with care and precision. The main characters love was written remarkable well and enjoyable touching. I could go on and tell you more details of this great story by Kristina Canady ,but that would mean given spoilers away about the story and I won't do that .But I highly recommend that you read this amazing story you won't be disappointed.

Again Kristina Canady has crafted a remarkable story. With each book I fall more in love with the characters as well as the author’s ability to pull me into the story so deep that I can feel all the various emotions. The dynamics between the characters are riveting and complex. The storyline seems effortless even in its complexity. The flow of action, steamy sex, parenthood issues, personal issues, and everything ranging from supernaturally exclusive to normal everyday life is flawless. This entire series is unique and absolutely amazing but this is the best one yet.

The story continues, Sasha isn't in danger but she does have her twins to deal with. And help the accept who/what they are, which brings in challenges in and if itself. As everyone is adjusting pasts come back and haunt them. I was not disappointed at all when reading this. The pace, characters and storyline are great. I am finally able to see the worlds come alive. Great addition to the series.

Fourth book in this intense series. This one brings the twin sons into the stories more. We also find out a few more secrets. By the end the book does get dark and leaves you begging for the next book. This one also brings bdsm into the story. There is some violence and some very hot scenes. For mature readers only.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
