Made: A Bad Boy Romance

Rate this book
The Bad Boy Games: there's nothing they won't do, no line they won't cross.

BROOKE

When it comes to bad boys, I'm smart enough to look and not touch. When it comes to Nathan, all I want to do is touch. . .

To get my little sister out of trouble, I have to play the game, his twisted game. The worst part? I love it. I didn't intend things to work out this way. I knew I was in over my head, but some part of me believed in him, that he really would help us.

The whole crazy thing began with a pair of red shoes and a contract. Now he thinks I belong to him. The scary part? He might be right.

NATHAN

Brooke thinks she's playing to save her sister. The truth? She's just another pawn running out of time. . .

So what? Her illusions aren't my issue. She also thinks I'm using her for my own dirty reasons, that I'm just another player. She might be right, but what I want is to move up in the organization and take my rightful seat at the table. I'm smart enough to realize that dream's likely never going to come true.

Still, the job has its perks, and one of them is that sweet redhead. I'm going to get my fill while I can--because the one thing the bosses can't take away from me--I play for keeps.

**MADE is a dark, bad boy romance. No cliffhanger, no cheating. Happy ending included**

I was given this book an exchange for an honest review This was a good book although it wasn't as dark as I thought it would be. This book pulled me in right away and I was glad because some books you have to read almost the whole book to get to the good parts. When it comes to bad boys Brooke knows to look and not touch when her sister gets into some trouble she is willing to do anything to help her. Nathan an assassin for the mob Brooks sister gets involved with a shady exclusive club to sell herself to help her family but gets in way over her head. This was a good book and a new author to me. I liked the character's in this book they were well written. This book had a lot of twist that were dished out by Nathan the sex scenes were hot. This book was well written with no errors in spelling or grammar. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

This book wasn't what I was expecting. It was more of a suspense type of story, although pretty much all the “boys” (or rather, men) were bad guys, like mafia or dirty old rich men or guys that did the dirty work for them. They were not “bad boys” like I usually see in a book, like a guy who may be nice deep down inside but has a bad attitude or uncaring ways. Maybe the hero Nathan was supposed to be that way, but I wasn't buying it. He was a paid assassin.
The story involved this club – Harley and Sweet, which set up sexual encounters in which uber-rich men with really twisted and kinky tastes were matched with beautiful women. The women were previously led to sign a contract which would pay them $10,000 for their services, and gave them a fancy pair of red shoes to wear to the club on their assigned night for their “date”, and were identified as the “Red Shoe Girls”. The women pretty much knew it was going to be a sexual thing, but they had no idea what they were really getting into. It turns out, in some cases, these uber-rich disgusting guys were playing some kind of sick game against each other, in which the women were the pawns and had no idea what the rules were.
The whole thing is really hard to understand and therefore, hard to explain. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this game they're playing.
Heroine Brooke is at the club that night. She's not a “Red Shoe” girl – she came along with a friend who is. Then she finds out purely by coincidence that her innocent baby sister is also there that night as a “Red Shoe” girl. Brooke begs to be put in as a substitute for her sister. By this time, Brooke has already had a sexual encounter with Nathan, who is working in security. Of course, by another coincidence, Nathan gets put in as a substitute for this old French guy who is supposed to be her playing partner.
It turns out there is a lot more involved in this particular game than usual. People are being manipulated to be used for unsavory purposes. (Sorry, no spoiler being given here.) Still, there are even more crazy rules attached to this game, which the author seems to be making up as she goes along. Even though Nathan is supposed to have his eyes on Brooke 24/7, he takes her shopping to a major department store, where they are separated. She buys enough clothes to last her a week. How is this game supposed to last that long? These girls have real life jobs they would need to get to beyond the weekend. There are just so many holes in this story all over the place. Things happen because they're convenient to the plot, but they don't make sense.
In spite of all this craziness, it was an interesting and compelling story, and I read thru it rather quickly because I wanted to know what was going to happen.
As stated in the write-up for the book, there is a HEA, which is always nice, but I've always had a little trouble with characters who claim to be “in love” with each other when they haven't even known each other for 24 hours. Maybe I'm a cynic, but real love doesn't happen that fast.
This story had interesting moments and an interesting plot, but there were many things that really need to be cleaned up to make this story more realistic. The potential is there, but it's not carried out.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Made: A Bad Boy Romance (Bad Boy Games)
by Danielle Slater, Allegra Ryan

Arc, received for an honest review.
This review, is my own opinion.

Made, a bad boy romance was interesting!
**MADE is a dark, bad boy romance. No cliff-hanger, no cheating. Happy ending included**

WOW, this was a roller coaster romance.

Bad boys… you mean bad men…Like as in Assassins!!!

Twist and turns for sure, Nathan and Brooke meet in an interesting way!

There is this club, Harley and Sweet, which is a sexual encounters with kinky rich men with really weird a different tastes are matched with women. These women are led to sign a contract which would pay them a lot of money, as in $10,000 for their services and a pair of red shoes to wear to the club fort their assigned date…

These women are lead to believe that they are going a sexual thing, but they really have no clue what the men actually want from them. What it turns out to be is a game! A game that is played by these rich dicks!!!

The chicks, honestly have no clue they are pawns! Or what any of the rules were.

Most of the time reading this I was confused.

Brooke, is at the club one night, and she so NOT a “red shoe girl” she came along with a friend. And it’s a freak of coincidence that her baby sister is there also. Brooke begs to be put in place of her sister, but by this time she has already had a sexual encounter with Nathan. Who works security, who also get put in as a substitute for an old dude? Or is this the “Game”
By now I was lost…

A lot more involved in this game then the usual, I’m not sure what my thought are but I needed to get this all down before I forgot.

There is a HEA, thank goodness!!!

Story, different and unique with interesting charters and plot.
2-3 Stars.

I received this book for free to give my True and Honest Review

This is the first time I've read Danielle Slater's book and I found it enticing it gets your mind reeling and enticing you to wonder what heck is being these 'Red Shoes' secret deal and even you hear about it you just wonder if these women are safe.
You can feel how strong, sexy & dangerous Nathan is just by the way you hear how he acts with the lady's with the red shoes on whilst he tells them what to do. Then he eyes Brooke and checks out straight away if she's wearing these Red Shoes as IF she is, she's of limits as she's taken by one of the men upstairs to do what they like with. But he's relieved that she isn't though the her friend Caleey who's beside her is. Caylee's gone to earn £10k & this is a turning point as she gives Brooke the phone she was given and Nathan his to not just see her but retrieve the phone which we see how stubborn she is and how dominate Nathan is & how he wants her and she him *fanning myself* wow wee. This is where we see the HOT connection these 2 have for each other & things becomes out of this world like a different life except protecting her sister Samantha when she notices that she's upstairs. It makes you hold your breath in areas as it becomes dark and very heated, where there's times you can be holding your breath.
I do recommend this book but the only disappointment I found was that we didn't hear much how Samantha came off but disappointed that Caylee was really pushed aside and forgotten about considering with what was happening with Caylee, Brooke and Nathan

Let me begin by saying I love dark, bad boy romance novels. There’s something delicious about these inevitably gorgeous guys, built like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who kick ass and take names later. If at all. You just know they'll flatten any idiot who dares look at you the wrong way. They may or may not be involved in less than legal activities. Believe what you will. But somehow we overlook the fact they fit people with cement shoes for a living. Why? Because these guys also possess a soft creamy center that, once the right woman falls into their lap, transforms them into something extraordinary and swoony. Yes, I said swoony. Don’t get me wrong, they never lose the bad boy. It's just a whole lot better.

Made, the debut novel by Danielle Slater and Allegra Ryan, is one of those swoony bad boy romance novels. At roughly 132 pages it's technically more of a novella however, in my opinion, it reads like a full length novel. It’s also quite an impressive debut. What impressed me so much? First of all, Ms. Slater and Ms. Ryan write like seasoned authors. The prose is clever, descriptive, and tightly written. There’s no repetitive detritus to wade through. The story is fast paced and flows well. The editing is much better than a lot I’ve encountered lately. And then there is the story and characters. This is a well thought out plot. It’s not perfect, but it's damn near there. This story makes you use your brain. The characters are interesting, well developed, and compelling. I liked them and wanted to know more about them.

The synopsis paints just enough of the story to get you started. If I divulge too much, it will ruin your fun trying to piece the puzzle together. I will say, the authors are very good at the slight-of-hand trick. They had me focused on one thing, convinced of the direction we were headed only to find out I missed a turn off. Brava, ladies. Made immerses us into the dark, unsettling world of Mafia syndicates; the powerful and entitled men who run them, and the games they play using people as mere pawns. To be exact, our hero and heroine, Nathan and Brooke.

Nathan has spent years putting down the idiots who have made the mistake of trying to cross his boss, Tucker Voss. He’s good at it, and makes no excuses about it. It's a job. Just recently, Voss pulled Nathan off the road and into his exclusive club, Dominion. Nathan is none too happy about it, and he’s trying to figure out what Voss has up his sleeve. There's one thing for certain, Tucker Voss doesn't do random. Nathan will play the role of bouncer for now, but you can bet he's keeping his eyes focused on what game Voss might be playing.

Brooke is mature and level-headed, having been a parent to her younger sister since the age of 17, after the death of their parents. Brooke agrees to tag along to Dominion with her friend Caylee, who has received an exclusive invitation. Brooke has a gut feeling things aren’t quite on the up and up. She couldn’t be more right. However, Brooke fights her instincts and decides to let her inhibitions go once she sets eyes on the gorgeous, sexy Nathan. It's only one night, right?

Made alternates between Nathan and Brooke's point of view. The attraction between these two is instant and the chemistry explosive. Despite the insta-love aspect, I loved this story and I loved Nathan and Brooke. They fit well together, they work well together, and best of all, Brooke is not a whiner. The game they are thrown into has no rules. It's intense, surprising, and oftentimes confusing. As a matter of fact, I’m still not too clear on a few things. The only objective...get out alive.

Made introduces us to an opulent, over-the-top, often frightening world. It's a fast read that comes to an even faster conclusion. I was satisfied, but wanted more. Even though this is a standalone, the story will continue with two more books, now in the works; Laid, and Blown. I have been assured these books will feature characters we’ve previously met, and will clear up a few things that had me wondering. All in all, this is a great debut by two very talented writers. I can’t wait for the next book!

Lies, games, more lies and love. This sexy romance thriller keeps you on your toes and guessing what is going to come next. What is real and what is part of the game. What is “the game” you ask…. Umm well that is a complicated answer; you see no one knows the rules of the game. The rules are all tied up in lies and power plays of the rich and the super-rich. We meet Nathan who is a bad guy turned not so bad. He is part of the security team in charge of the “pawns”. Who are the “pawns” you must be wondering. Well, the “pawns” are unsuspecting women in sexy red high heels who think they are in for a huge payday. All the while they are in “the game”, if the survive “the game” a big payday might be the reward at the end, that is if they live to cash in on the reward. Brooke enters the picture when she goes to the club with a friend (Caylee) who happens to be wearing the Sexy red high heels. Nathan notices Brook in the sea of club goers and the attraction is instantaneous. Nathan is relieved Brooke is not a “pawn” therefore available for him to try and seduce for the night. As luck would have it, Brooke finds out her little sister has entered the game as a “pawn”. She is desperate to save her…. And so the real game begins. It is no longer about money; it is now a life and death game. Brook and Nathan are both caught up in a twisted game of power. Can they find love while playing to save Brooke’s sister? Brook and Nathan are super-hot together!! A fast paced read, full of plot twists and sexy fun!

These bad boy romances are just as addictive as the bad boys themselves, especially when they are written as well as this one is. Danielle Slater has a hit with "Made," as well as a long career in store if all of her books turn out like this one.

I have a huge stack of books to be read, however, I started this book just to read a few pages to see what it would be like, and literally could not stop. It would have been read in one sitting if it wasn't 2am and my Kindle kept hitting me in the face as I finally started to doze off. But before I even got out of bed, I finished the last chapter. I think I might have even dreamed a bit about the book in between too.

Many books of this type can either be good or bad. Fortunately, I'm happy to say this book excels. The storyline is unique and pulls you right in. The writing is sleek and flowing and wraps itself around you before you know it. This author can write, and definitely knows how to tell a story. One that was very intelligent, interesting and different. I was very happy to see the next book in the series will revolve around characters I was wondering about and I'll certainly be reading it the moment it's available. You too need to read it, and this one as well.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review and recommend it with my eyes closed. The anticipation alone will keep you on the edge of your seat add in the complex romance and you get a readers choice book. The main focus is not the romance per se but how the romance got stronger. Nathan and Brooke in my opinion got struck on first sight... But where, how and why they came together is the baseline. Caylee is Brooke's best friend and is going to a club to sign a contract that is going to change her life and ask Brooke to go with her. Problem is that this club is known to be run by the Mafia. But as long as you don't make yourself a target your ok.. Bad boys are sexy as heck but always trouble but who said you can't look... Brooke loves to look and just when you think your safe you connect to someone...Brooke ends up catching Nathans eye ...and what Nathan wants Nathan gets..and he wants her. While there she also finds out her younger sister is there and when she tries to get her out of there she finds out just what trouble means..her sister did something to make herself a target...what?. Even though Nathan has fallen for Brooke he will play a game with her and make her do things.. Problem is will this come back and bite him in the butt?...to what end will Brooke go to save her sister? Is there a future for her and Nathan?

Made: A Bad Boy Romance by authors Danielle Slater and Allegra Ryan is a sexy read from the get go. Mobsters, naughty playboys with too much money, and sex all mix in this book to make it a read I couldn't put down.
Nathan, he is lethal and pure sex all at the same time. Usually works the contract kills, but he does what he is hired to do. He knows not to disobey orders, and to stay in control.
Brooke feisty, fiery, and level headed. She is a contradiction walking. She soon gets far over her head, and needs Nathan to help her figure out the way out. Bit of a cynic, and very cautious.
These two have insta lust right away. We also find out they both will do anything to protect those they love. I liked also that Brooke does not have to be rescued. She is smart enough to rescue herself when she needs too. I like a strong heroine. She is a smart cookie. More than a match for Nathan.
Nathan for all his rough edges has a huge heart capable of a lot of love. He is the kind of man you want on your side.
Over all this is a great read, lots of story inside this one, and a little mystery too going on. When you want a well rounded story that has a lot of heat this is the one to pick up.

Oh. My. God. This book will make your brain explode!

I may have developed PTSD from reading the book! Like it begs the question of what WOULD you really do for money? Then you have to ask yourself what you would do to protect someone you love from harm or evil? This plot is twisted, man, it's a monumental mind fudge but you are so going to want to read this! The characters are fantastically well developed and you either love them or hate them in equal measures. The plot is restructured so densely that the layers have you questioning what is really real all the way through it. I didn't think I'd like it at first, it felt sleazy and formulaic, but I was given an ARC for an honest review, so I continued reading. Dude, I am so glad I did! This story is amazing! It feels real and you will end up rooting for the protagonists in the end, hoping they don't die or get raped by Gym Candy. The love scenes were hot and the emotional build-up was steady. This story just fed on itself and got deeper and better with each new scene. I loved it so much that I bought a copy after I read the ARC. If you don't read but one book this week, it should be this one!

Danielle Slater and Allegra Ryan are both new authors to me and I really liked that “Made: A Bad Boy Romance” was in both point of views.

Brooke has always known to admire the bad boys from far, but not to get lured into breaking the rules until she meets Nathan who could possibly help get her little sister out of trouble. Unfortunately the only way to get her little sister out of trouble is to play the twisted games Nathan has conjured up.

Will both of them lose their hearts to one another or was it all a facade?

I consumed this story so fast that I wasn’t ready for all the twist and turns Nathan dished out, but I couldn’t possibly turn away. He captured me and I couldn’t wait what else awaited Brooke. The plot, pace and connection was defiantly there and done really well. So many questions bubble up along the way, but the authors did an amazing job revealing all the answers slowly. This book is like a siren to me and I adored it.

I love when a book can just draw you in where reality just fades away.

This is the first book by both of these authors that I have read. It is now a series I would love to read more of. It was a great read and I loved the story. The reason for 4 stars, instead of 5, is that the ending was really rushed to me. It lost the flow the rest of the story had.

I thought the story line itself was unique because of the whole “game” that was being played. I am curious about what exactly the game is and would have loved more details on the game and the rounds.

Another thing that has me real curious is about Brooke’s parents and their connection. It’s just another thing I would have loved more details on.

I did really like the characters a lot. You can tell Nathan wants to make some changes. He may be a weapon, but he isn’t stupid like his boss thinks.

The whole “Deja Booty” had me laughing.

I really like Brooke and think I would have done what she did to save my little sister also.

Now to wait for Caylee’s story.

Things have been tough for Brooke and just seem to get getting tougher by the day. When her friend asks her to join her on a night out on the town she can't refuse then she finds out about the mess her friend has gotten herself into & she can't walk away. Nathan spots her as soon as she walks in the club but duty calls before he can make his move. When they finally do come face to face Brooke throws caution to the wind and Nathan looses his head when it comes to her. Before long Brooke finds out her sister is in a big mess so she is forced to save her. Nathan ends up by her side and even know she doesn't know him she trusts him. It's a hot mess that you won't be able to figure out but Brooke takes chances to save everyone & Nathan has finally found a women he can fall for. Some hot steamy sex scenes. Good ending.

I received a free ebook download by the author(s) to provide an honest and unbiased review. And to be honest, I loved this book.

It is a dark, bad boy romance, but it's a great read. The main characters are strong and you can't help but love them. Brooke is one strong female lead and Nathan is strong, yet we also get to see his soft side that is only shown with Brooke. The authors did an awesome job of keeping the story going and the ending was superb; especially how it was Brooke who eventually ended it by using her wits. And the scenes between Nathan and Brooke. Whew! Steamy. 5 for 5 gorgeous stars.

P.S.- I hope soon the authors might take into consideration of writing a story for Samantha and Ferrara.

I enjoyed this book! It reminded me Of the Hunger Games. Just with A little twist. What happens when your little sister desides she wants to date for money? But its not with the good guys or Company but with One of the most dangerous secret company that has existed? That is the situation that Brooke finds herself in.
This book Captured me from the beginning. Nathan is this this playboy who works for the company that plays the most dangerous dating game that has existed to Man-Kind!
What happens when he goes from security guard to the actual kind of pawn like Brooke is ? Will Brooke beable to Save her Sister? Or is it to late for her?

What would you do for $10,000? Would you go on a blind date? What if the date wasn't as innocent as a date?

Brooke is desperate for money, but not that desperate. She doesn't trust the "Rules" as her bff lays them out. No thank you! But she winds up "playing the game" anyhow, why you ask? You would be surprised. I know I was.
A twist that I never saw coming, has Brooke doing the unthinkable...volunteering.

Nathan had thought he'd seen it all. But this game is nothing like ever played before...

Who can be saved? Who will win? What is really going on?

Too many players...
Too many different games...
only one outcome.

It's a wild ride that leaves you guessing what is next. I can't wait to read Caylee and Samantha's stories.

This was a fast paced and action packed story. You are sure what is going on at first. All you know is Nathan is a bored killer and Brooke is unsure of herself. Caylee is dragging her to a club because of a contract she signed.
Things start to take a turn when Nathan sees Brooke for the first time.
I was intrigued by Nathan and what was being held against him. Brooke was a strong and wouldn't back down. She will do anything for her sister.
This does end in a HEA but I hope we get Samantha and Caylee's story. Just to see the other end of things.

What do red shoes and rich men have in common. They both get what they want. That is about it.

When rich men get bored they play games that only they know the rules to and it involves woman with red shoes. Except for one time. This time it is a big sister, Brooke, trying to save her little sister, Samatha. Who is the other player.

He is one that is just suppose to be security. He knows something is wrong with the whole game but can he save himself and Brooke from this twistd game without knowing all the players. Can he control his feeling long enough to get through this game alive.

This was a very hot , sexy read that I couldn't put down. Brooke knew better than to mess with a bad boy like Nathan, but she had to do what ever it took for her sister, she just never realized being with a bad boy was just what she wanted, but Nathan is just wanting to get to the top he can't let his feelings be known. What a great dark story. These are new authors for me, but I will definitely be checking out more. This exciting story is about Brooke a sister trying to save her sister from herself and Nathan an assassin for the mob. Brooks sister gets involved with a shady exclusive club to sell herself to help her family but gets in way over her head. Brooke hooks up with Nathan then the real fun begins. I loved this story about a bad guy who eventually sees the light.

I was really into this book at the beginning but at the point where "the game" started, it kind of turned into a confusing mess. Big leaps in the story are made with no explanation. Things happen that really make no sense. It's a shame because this book had a lot of potential.

Oh boy. This was a bit of a rollercoaster. There was a lot going on at first and a lot of info divulged to us. Then the game started and it felt like you just ran a marathon. The main characters and side characters were well written. Great flow. Recommended to all suspense readers.

I found myself really into this book. It wasn't what I was expecting. It was fill with lots of suspense, backstabbing, lies and deceit. When it got to the game part I was really confuse but, beside that it was a really good read. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
