One of the greatest challenges of the church today is to expose and resist the distorted message of the Grace of God. It is critical for us to have a proper understanding of the biblical doctrine of salvation and the teaching of grace.
Scripture teaches us of a time when society - even in the church - will not endure sound doctrine, but will live according to their fleshly desires, and they will turn their hearts away from truth (2 Tim. 4:3-4).
Foundational truth is God loves us with all His strength, and thereby, empowers us to love Him in return. By His grace, He equips us to reign in this life by overcoming sins' power and temptation. Holiness is possible, when we fully understand the miracle of salvation and the power of grace, which has been released in our hearts.
This book on Grace has not only explained to me what grace is, but it tells you why it has been muddied through time. If it isn't legalism, it's telling Christians that it's ok to sin as long as you believe in Jesus. True grace will change a person because Jesus will be with you helping you repent and become a new person in Christ.
Thank you for clearing up a word and a concept that I has puzzled me for years. This was the second time reading it and it was good to come back to. I realize what a difference it has made in my life!
