Dope Boy: The Novel

Rate this book
This authorized version of Dope Boy contains the full novel as well as The Dope Girl Prequel. Cameron Forrest had the mind of a mathematician, the heart of a lion and the soul of a hustler. If he had been raised across town in one of Atlanta’s affluent areas, he would probably have been a doctor or lawyer…maybe even president. Instead, he grew up in one of Atlanta’s most depressed ghettos. Cam was a natural born leader, so it was no surprise that he rose to the top of the drug trade. He ran the notorious B.C.Bs with an iron fist. As a result he was a millionaire by the age of 21. Join young Cam as he robs, steals and kills on his rise to the top. As he grinds his way up the ladder…killing anyone who gets in his way. With more money comes more problems. Getting to the top was only half the battle. Staying on top is even harder once you’re there. Beef behind a woman sends the B.C.Bs to war against their New York connect. Bodies are dropping on both sides as the war heats up. What goes up, must surely come down. In order for one to rise, another must fall. Eventually all sides will butt heads, all battling to control ATL's lucrative drug trade. Only this isn't just business . . . it's personal.

Great author

I have loved every book I read by Sa'id Salaam (The Killa series, Yolo series, and Sun and Shyne series) and this book was no different. I loved it. Cam was getting on my nerves though with all his doggish way.........that boy was making babies every where he stuck his d*ck, but he was the true definition of a dope boy. Can't wait to read `Dope Girl'

The story reads like a movie. You are engrossed in the read from the beginning to the end. The past is fast and keeps going to the very end and even then, you want to continue reading. You are able to follow the characters and at times, you wonder if the story is moving too fast. If you are seeking a fast pace read with plenty of action and sex, then this is the read for you. I usually don't go part for more but in this case, I'm going back for more.

This is another hit from the creative mind of Sa'id Salaam. His books are definitely legendary for the story plot.

Heat

As always, Sa'id Salaam brings HEAT in this story of mayhem and madness and unexpected turns. Characters are true to life while being bigger than life, simultaneously. As Cam sets the stage for what promises to be a page turning series about Killa, he and Cam Sr have groomed Cameisha to be the perfect Dope Girl. This is a family that the streets aren't ready for...but readers can't get enough of.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this book... I finished it in record time. Full of action & entertainment! Cam proved he was the one even as a young kid. I liked the way the storyline flowed with the well explained background information. I thought Cam & Cameisha made a good dad/daughter team. Very good read I encourage to all!

I wasn't disappointed

This was a great read. I been reading all his books and all of the characters just come to life. Cameron was a beast and his father too. I wouldn't mind reading about his father Cam Senior and his beginning. Not sure if I'm reading part 2 next or Dope Girl series....which ever one i know it's going to be good. MR SALAAM i love 💘 your writing style...
