Barbara Jennings Harvey (Bing) is a funny and vivacious college freshman with more friends than she can count. But though she is often thought of as one of the guys, when it comes to love, her experiences with men have left her wanting nothing to do with the enigmatic opposite sex. That is until she meets JT. With a single smile, the charismatic college junior rocks her world and inadvertently leaves her powerless over her desire for something more than friendship. JT Andrews is the kind of guy that never had to work to get any girl’s attention, and that’s just the way he likes it. But when his friendship with Bing stirs stronger feelings than camaraderie, he is thrown for a loop as he struggles to reconcile his perceptions about friendship and love. Immerse yourself in a story about two friends who invoke in each other the kind of life-altering love that shatters egos and leads each on a journey of self-discovery and lasting transformation.
One of those books, that you can’t quite put down. Bing s portrayed as one of those girls, who always seems to have more male friends than female and overall, just gets along with men. Based on her experience with those friends, she tends to not want relationships or rather just sees them as unimportant. And of course, Bing starts to see a friend as a little more, the story unfolds with how Bing and JT begin to navigate their platonic friendship as it starts to evolve. Balter had me smirking, laughing, and feeling what the characters were feeling. Balter allows the reading to be light, witty, and overall an easy read. Any time that I had to put the book down, I was anticipating the next time that I could pick up the novel to continue the story. I related to the main character in many ways, mostly the everchanging female emotions, when it comes to men. Definitely a light and fun read. I can’t wait to read part two.
