Forever Betrayed

Rate this book
Trust is hard to come by in a world filled with betrayal.

Zain Ali Rahman is in line for his country’s crown. Granted, he’s two names down the list, but it still meant he was in the family business of politics. While hosting an international summit in Keeneston, Zain just hopes to make a difference in the world by making it a safer place. What he didn’t count on was losing his heart and being betrayed by someone close to him.

Mila Thiessen has traveled the world as an interpreter for the German embassies. The last thing she expected in the small, quaint town of Keeneston was having her life put in danger for something she uncovers—something so powerful it could turn an entire country upside-down and topple kings. Turning to the one person Mila thinks she can trust results in losing her heart, but will she also lose her life?

Yeah, no disappointed but no surprise either. There were so many books about the small town, I started the amazing journey from Davis's family, the bothers then their friends related, n went to my best love, Lily, Violet n Daisy, now the next generation, it's awesome, I need to admit I fall in love with the small town.

However, the lines seems repeated, dramatic either, when u first read, it's nice, the later u found its amazing, but when it's on n on, the repeated, similar lines u think about bored.

If u never read one of their stories, u will give it four stars even five, sorry I read them all, even I thought about Zain n Mila r cute, I only given three, the diplomatic, political business not easy to write, that's I thought it is too simple to end the incident. I do enjoy the kids never search from web what their parents did, it's funny when they were being told found out their parents r great, funny n the life they had were most exciting. Also the dog around Mila, the crazy driving skill of Kale.

This story is not one of my favorite out of this series.

Zain, is looking for love but being a prince can have his disappointments. They either want him for fame or money. Mila, just want to be invisible. But when her luggage is lost at the airport and she make new friends in the small town in Kentucky, what could possible go wrong.

I the romance in these books are just so hard to believe but I really like the plot twist and the suspends of what everyone has to do through.

3.5 stars It's a 3 star story with a 4 star cast. Oddly on topic right now with talk of riots and pandemics.

I absolutely love Kathleen Brooks’ Bluegrass and Forever Bluegrass series and feel like I just spent another few days with some of my best friends. Although, I guess technically it’s the parents’ generation that I’d be friends with. Kenna, Will, Dani, Mo, Paige, Cole….our kids are the same ages. I can totally relate to the characters in this entire series. Plus, I have the added bonus of living in the Bluegrass!

Dani has finally had her turn to be a matchmaker for one of her kids. It’s only fair, Kenna, Paige, and Katelyn have had their kids paired off. Well, OK, Kenna and Paige got a “two for one” special. Anyway, Zain is an heir apparent to Rahmi and he’s about to hold a summit to launch a nanotechnology lab that will benefit the entire region. It’s because of all the international delegates coming in that he meets Mila. She’s an interpreter for the German chancellor. She’s always been invisible, it’s her job, so imagine her surprise when she suddenly becomes very visible to the folks in Keeneston.

This one has international intrigue, hilarity, and those wonderful people from Keeneston. You can’t go wrong with this series if you’re looking for pure entertainment.

When reading one of Kathleen Brook's books that are set in Keeneston, KY, her readers are never disappointed. As we have come to know all of the citizens who make up this town.
Zain Ali Rahman and Mila Thiessen meet while she thinks she is receiving stolen designer clothing, that is being offered to her when her luggage is lost on her arrival at the airport. She has come to KY to be an interpreter for the German Chancellor, who has come to Summit Zain is holding that will globally make the world a safer place to live.
Neither of them know that there are fates at work to make sure that the attraction they feel is really love. The entire town is going to be over run with attempts on the lives of royalty, and armed with Brooms, wooden spoons, a squirrel and The Rose sister's special Ice Tea that love will win every time despite the chaos that lands in town

Forever Betrayed is the third book in the Forever Bluegrass series (Bluegrass Book #17) by Kathleen Brooks. ‘Bluegrass’ combines romance and suspense, with a touch of Southern charm.
A few years ago a friend recommended this author, and her many series, to me - as she had devoured every book and absolutely loved them, singing the author’s praises from high from the hilltops. So, being an avid reader who loves discovering new authors and enticing reads, I took my friends recommendations seriously, and started amassing Ms. Brooks many books, with the plan to have a huge binge session/buddy read with my friend. But with so many books on my TBR, and new, exciting ones releasing every week, I always seemed to get pulled into other books- as these just kept piling up.
Since part of my yearly reading challenges for the past few years has been to dust off my TBR pile/s and read the books that have been languishing there the longest, I decided to finally dive in and get the series read. While I did ‘enjoy’ the books for the most part- I didn’t fall madly in love with them as my friend promised that I would. But that’s ok, I am really happy that she loves them as much as she does. But for me, they were just an ‘okay’ read.
With plenty of small-town drama, intrigue, angst, chemistry, humour, community, family, friendship, charm, mystery, tension, danger, emotion, and suspense- the stories are about finding love unexpectedly and love conquering all.
The books can all be read as standalones if you wanted, without feeling ‘lost’ or like you are missing big pieces of the picture. This is because each instalment introduces its own ‘couple’- providing plenty of romance, a dash of suspense, and some sweet development to make your heart flutter.
But I have to be honest, I found there were a few issues which detracted from my overall enjoyment of the stories/series. Such as the ‘wordiness’ which really slowed the flow of the storyline at times, as there was such an overwhelming amount of detail which didn’t really ‘add’ to or propel the story in any way, except to perhaps distract from the plot. I love details, normally- but not when there are pages of descriptions, as things tend to ‘bog’ down and the flow/pace/plot gets lost amongst the detritus- and also leads to some ‘wandering’ storylines. There were also many loose ends, for me- threads that were left hanging, or not fully woven into the storyline- which I found a bit frustrating.
I really wanted to love this series as much as my friend did…. but instead, I was left a little disappointed.
Happy reading! 📚💙

GREAT STORY!!!!

I really loved this story! It was exciting and suspenseful! Loved, loved, loved, as usual all the family, friends and townspeople who were featured in this story. Kathleen's books are such a joy to read! Her books are so steamy, romantic, funny, warm and heartfelt. They grab you and hold your interest with every single word and every page ! She has a way with her descriptions that makes you feel like you are watching the scene happening in person! These Bluegrass books have given me many, many, hours of enjoyment and delight. If you haven't read any of these books yet give yourself a huge treat and do so...... Believe me this series has everything to touch your heart deeply and put a smile on your face!!!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!

Forever Betrayed takes the series to a new level of intensity with Zain Ali Rahman, a royal heir caught in a political intrigue that could shake the foundations of a kingdom. Mila Thiessen, a world-traveling interpreter, becomes embroiled in the dangerous web of secrets that threatens both their lives.
This book expertly blends romance and international suspense, with a plot full of political twists, betrayal, and heart-stopping danger. Zain and Mila’s chemistry is undeniable, and their emotional journey is deepened by the betrayals they face. Brooks’s writing shines as she keeps readers hooked with every page, delivering a satisfying mix of passion, danger, and unexpected revelations.

I have read most of this series of books of the Bluegrass series. I find I like them all. I especially like this one about Zain and Mila. I think there romance was well written. I love thinking of him climbing up a tree. I also like how all the kids find out what their parent were really like when they were their ages. And all the “not now later” trying not to explain it to them. I have read this book more than once.
When I start one of these books I can’t put them down. I’m ready to start the next one in this series.

Really tired of story falling in love after meeting and talking in just 1 day. You have a series of many books with the same characters spread it to another book. May like characters, but every book is beginning to be the same, hello, oh i'm in love. many of same conversations and proposal between the lovers in every book. . Liked all the cousins and friends.
Like the story of Zain summit meeting. Not crazy about Mila, hated the confrontation with Mo. Hated that all the people were angry with Mo. Makes sense that you would check on people.

Overall Amanda rating: A

Can we talk for a second about how geed these little books are? The plot, characters, writing, as well as the steamy scenes are so perfectly well written. I am reading these books so fast because I simply cannot put them down.
The characters continue through out each book, while also adding in a different couple to focus on. I actually read part of one to my husband the last night and it had him laughing so hard.
The Rose sisters will not only make you laugh ugly laugh.
Nikki's character is a girl we all want to punch but are also too busy laughing at her. You all know the type... Girl tries way to hard to get attention from the guys, overly annoying, and way to easy... But she keep back for more.... Ya'll these are really good books!

Holy sexy prince!! I love reading about royalty and a normal person, because it is not likely to happen. Miss Kathleen puts a new spin on this old idea and make it better than most if not all. Mila and Zain make the cutest couple, Miss Kathleen’s books are so well written that you can just see yourself there. I really enjoyed this book, I read it in a day. I hope you enjoy it too. Happy reading!!!

Ms. Brooks has as vivid imagination. Frequently, by the 3rd book in a series, the author is running out of fresh ideas! There was a little too much sex, in this book, for this old lady. The inclusion of the various animals is a really good idea.

This is the third book I have read in this series and I can barely wait to start the next one. I started this one, last night and was surprised when I look up from the book to see the sun rising!!

Writing is very good

I enjoy this author's writing style. I've read several books by her. I'm not a fan of Mila. I couldn't connect with her. Zain was interesting and I like his family. The plot was intriguing which saved the rating I'm giving even though I didn't like Mila. I plan to continue the series.

Love this series very much. Kathleen Brooks has you hooked from the very beginning. You never know what will happen, and you definitely do not want it to end. Looking forward to the next book. It almost makes you wish that this town and people were real so that you could go live there with them.

Zain is not king nor next in line, but he is third in-line and cares about is country. The Heir, his cousin, is spoiled and immature to be king. Zain can teach his cousins what respect and love.... oh and the Town Keeseton will be there too. Enjoy this fabulous story and many more to come.
