Not realistic at all about what a Yellowstone Super Volcano would do to the USA and the world.

I wouldn't recomend this book at all. First within a week the Yellowstone Super Eruption would effect the entire world. No one wears air filter masks at all. Breathing in volcano ash would cause your lungs, throat and eyes woud turn to a glassy sludge and severe breathing issues would happen. Days are bright and sunny. The nights are clear and starry. Only a couple of inches of ash covers the USA. The reality would be the ash would be several FEET thick, roofs would collapse within hours or days, depending how far you are especially if it rains would bust roofs of homes and buildings real fast. Businees and the internet still works. The research for what a Super Eruption would do to people, the USA and world is barely researched. Just so much is wrong where it concerns the after effects would be in several ways in this book, too many to list here.

In this books Democrats are good, honest people who always do the right thing for the people. Republicans are bad, self-centered, people who are out for themselves or unwilling to work with Democrats . It's Democrats are good. Republicans are evil. The defunct Tea Party hasn't existed for several years now. Shows how outdated the information is on politics.

Adding in terrorist attacks and an national level Ebola virus outbreak, in the USA distarcts from the main volcano story. Too many photgraphs gives it a picture book quality.

I can't recommend this book for people

The ultimate disaster novel!

Every disaster imaginable is described, and endured, by a remarkable cast of characters. As a disaster aficionado, this one is the ultimate. The depth of the geographic and historical detail is amazing. Although the mass of information sometimes slows down the action, the characterizations of both the good and bad guys is extremely complete and involving. More, more...don't let it end!

Great Read!

I liked how this author destroyed the USA in a new way, kind of gross at times as Ebola can be, nice to see the characters surviving, bad guys got what they deserved, however in all the destruction where was the fall of Grand Coulee Dam? Along with it's 150 mile long lake
