This was way better than the first one IMO. I enjoyed it so much more. Bash was just perfect and sweet. He was awesome! He said some of the sweetest things I've ever read. I just ate it up!! LOVED BASH!!!

Bash talking about Emerson's eyes and then body
"Because they’re all wild and gold and pretty, like sunlight comin’ through the tree branches and speckling the ground. You even have brown spots in there, like cheetah eyes. Part of me hopes no one else has noticed so those specks can just be mine. My secret part of you no one else looks close enough to notice.”

“Woman, you’re shaped like a number eight. That’s my favorite number.”

He just said the sweetest most honest things!

Emerson grew on me. I was very upset and angry with her for a little bit but she came around and accepted him as he is. I was left with all kinds of gooey sweet feelings! Just what I needed!

4.5 stars! I love Bash!! He has to be one of the sweetest, loving, caring, selfless ,beautiful man ever!!!! seriously I wish he was real! lol Emerson was a good mate for him!At first I was a bit ticked off with her, but she came to her senses. plus I really couldn't put to much blame on her. My only Complaint is I wanted him to bite/mark her!I know she did but it's not the same! I needed that! I want to see more of them:) I'm interested in the next one.

This was another great addition to a really sweet shifter romance. The hero in this book was incredible!!! He was so charismatic and I love how he had no filter and always said what was on his mind. I also appreciate that this writer offers her books on kindleunlimited. I look forward to reading the next book!

Loved this couple. The H is a simple man and believes he isn't smart enough for the h. She believed she needed a smart man and when she takes time to see him she discovers a good person who is smart enough to focus on what's important. They have to fight for their relationship and this book gives insights into the danger that surrounds shifters.

I really liked this one and a big part of that was due to Bash. He is a simple man (and I don't mean stupid). Bash knows what he wants, a mate and cubs, and will give them anything they want. You really can't help but to want him to find his mate.

When Bash first meets Emerson, you realize how perfect they were, but sadly while both talked it seemed like they were speaking different languages as neither one really understood what the other was really saying. I was happy when they finally got on the same page, it made for some really sweet moments. I also loved that along with Bash, Emerson got all the Boarlanders and the other crews. She was so lonely and needed to find a place to fit in.

I'm a bit disturbed by the discoveries at the end about Shifters in general. I really hope that they all can find a way to fight things.

Looks like I’m in the minority opinion, but I did not enjoy it as much as the first one, which sucks because I loved Bash and was looking forward to his story!

It really leaned hard into the whole “Bash isn’t book-smart” storyline, but instead of highlighting all his positive traits he just came across rather moronic & childish, shouting out “boner!” & “toots”. We’re supposed to be satisfied that he loves Emerson with all her “soft spots” and body shaped like the number 8, but I just didn’t really connect with their chemistry in this one.

Book 1: Boarlander Boss Bear - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Book 2: Boarlander Bash Bear - ⭐⭐
Book 3: Boarlander Silverback - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Book 4: Boarlander Beast Boar - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Book 5: Boarlander Cursed Bear - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This series. I just can never get enough. After I don't know how many books, I'm still on board. I get excited every month when she releases a new one because I know I'm guaranteed about 60-90 minutes of the kind of romance I can rely on to improve my mood. It's amazing. These little books aren't life changing, but I love reading them and never get tired of them...

Boarlander Bash Bear

There were several quotes in this book that were delightful….

“Bash pulled a plastic container of fruit salad from the cooler and offered it to Emerson. “I packed girl food.”

“Bash, that isn’t girl food,” Audrey muttered as she snatched it from him and wrestled the top off. “It’s just healthy food.”

“It ain’t meat,” Bash said. “How healthy can it be?””

And,

“Girls sure have to do a lot when they shower,” he said with a slight frown. “That don’t really seem fair. All I gotta do is shampoo and soap. Two minutes, and I’m done, but this is like a part-time job, bein’ a girl.”

And if we couldn't love the MMC any more,

“One, I like your natural smell, and two, smooth legs or Sasquatch legs, I’d still do you.”

No, I take that back, this pushes us to love the MMC even more,

“I also searched the Internet for girl period stuff, and I got you a heating pad, pain killers, and chocolate….”

It takes romances to teach us that periods aren't gross and don't need to be hidden or shamed, and that women are actually deserving of extra care during that time.

I haven't been on goodreads for a few months (why? I have no idea.) Now I have something like 80 books to add. 60 of them having been written by T.S. Joyce. I love them so much. They aren't perfect. Most of them need editing. There are occasionally things like "in my sites". But damn these are fun. And funny. So freaking funny. They all happen to be on kindle unlimited so they are essentially freeish and available for binge-reading. Which I did. All of them. Seriously. All of them.

I enjoyed all of these books, but of course, some are better than others. I think Bash Bear might be my favorite. Well, he's up there with Beaston. Bash is just adorable. He's not exactly a rocket scientist, but he's smart in his own way and has a huge heart. I absolutely adore him.

I'm not going to write a review for all 60 plus books I've read by her so I'm writing this review to kind of cover all of them. I don't think these books are everyone's cuppa but there's so much to love and I'm so glad I finally decided to read one.

Cute!

I was recommended this book as a great palate cleanser and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an interesting and sweet story that made me want to dive into the other books set in this universe, because I love the side characters and want to explore the overarching plot that is going on.

I have to admit, I’m viciously protective of Bash, he just brings the momma bear out in me and only the sweetest lady would do for him, Emerson is perfect for him.
Though I hate that humanity is being portrayed as predictably evil. I really had hoped we’d come far enough in not just accepting differences but actually celebrating them, but even in fiction that’s pushing credibility too far.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
― Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad/Roughing It

Boarlander Bash Bear is the second in T.S. Joyce’s Boarlander Series, part of her group of stories revolving around the Shifters of Damon’s Mountain. I was so glad I didn’t have to wait long for Bash’s story! In Boarlander Boss Bear, we got to meet Harrison Lang, the Crew Boss for the Boarlanders, the C-Crew of the mountain. They are the ‘dead-ends’ – the team that would rather bleed each other than get along. Well, mostly due to Clinton, the biggest pain-in-the-ass on the mountain.

Sebastian “Bash” Kane has been fighting the ban on women in the park from the outset, and now that Harrison and Audrey are hooked up, Bash gets the OK to fill that hole in his heart – if he can find the right woman. And the right woman just happens to be Emerson Elliot, a damaged woman with a dark history who is simply looking for a friend (although she has had a crush on the Bash for years . . .)

Bash himself is a pure joy as a character. Lighthearted, big, and goofy, he considers himself to be stupid, and is embarrassed about it, but his heart is so very good, and he is so sweet, you can’t help fall in love with him and wish he were yours. And actually? Well, Bash isn’t as stupid as he has been led to believe, and you will have to read the book to truly enjoy the layers he reveals.

The romance is here, just as expected, but there is a lot more to like about this series than just snuggles. Joyce addresses serious issues of prejudice, race hatred, nasty politics and more. The Boarlander series promises to be much more than just another Shifter Romance.

I have received books from T.S. Joyce in the past in exchange for a realistic review. I am not sure if I received this one for free, so I will just say that I have received books in the past in exchange for a realistic review and this one may or may not be one of those, but how I received the books has no impact on any of my reviews.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Take one big hunky bear that wants a mate and add a smart, sweet human that wants to have a baby and you have the makings of a read that will leave you laughing and crying at the same time! In T. S. Joyce's second book in the Boarlander Bears the reader gets up and personal with Bash Bear or aka Sebastian Kane and the woman that stirs his bear, Emerson Elliott. Will these two unlikely characters find a way to overcome the obstacles put in their path towards love, laughter and happily ever after?

The ban on women allowed in their trailer park was lifted when their alpha found his mate and now finally Bash can go after his dream, a mate of his own. He has wanted a mate for a long time, all he needs to do is find her, claim her and enjoy the life of a mated bear. However, where do you start? Advertise on line, have a get to know Bash Bear night at the local hangout and sniff out his one and only, that's where you start! The problem is, he may have already met his one, Emerson!

She has always wanted to belong, have friends, have a baby! Time has a way of slipping away from you and Emerson finds herself at the point where decisions need to be made for her future...her biological clock is ticking. Maybe that is why she replied to Sebastian Kane's online page and it may also be the fact that she has had a crush on him for a long time. Could this be her time, her future?

Anti-shifters are rearing their ugly heads and out for shifter blood! If you are looking a really great paranormal romance, look no more this is the book for you. Great storyline and intriguing characters that make this book a must read!

Boarlander Bash Bear by T.S Joyce was a quick and sweet read.

Bash is ready for a mate and family. When his crew set up a party at Sammy's bar to help him find one. Emerson is a shy human, who doesn't have many friends. She works from home as an editor of the newspaper. When they meet at a diner, Bash is instantly drawn to her, and little did he know that she was too. They start dating and everything is good, until the government gets involved and tries to ruin their happiness.

Will they be able to get married and have a family??

Love Damon's Mountains and the shifters in them!

Obsessed with this series! Loved Bash's story! He is probably my second favorite bear in Damon's Mountains. (I don't think anyone will ever top Beaston). Bash was so sensitive and it melted my heart that he was so understanding with Emerson's situation and willing to be there for the whole thing. On to the next shifter in the series, Kirk!

This is the best early Valentine's day gift ever. I have no idea how Ms. Joyce manages to come up with a completely new storyline for each book, when so many romance books are just redundant. Love how this new crew is shaping up, despite the new troubles that look set to occur. Kirk is up next- I cannot wait even though this book was released only about 3 1/2 hours ago.

This is one of my favorite T.S. Joyce stories. I love Bash--he stole my heart from the minute I met him and I thought Emerson was perfect for him. Great read! When I want to read a book I can rely on to take me away from the world for a while, this is it.

Bash is, at heart, such a gentle soul. He is strong, sexy and powerful, he is also near genius in some areas and yet almost child-like in his total honest approach of saying exactly what’s on his mind with little filters. Bash is one of my favorites in this series. Oh, I love all these guys, no doubt, but some for various reasons hold that special spot in my reader’s heart… and Bash is one of those. I think Bash is one of those men that women say they want – open, honest and no game playing – but don’t know quite what to do with when they find him. As my Gram would have said, “He’s a sweetheart and a keeper”… yes he definitely is that.

Since Harrison, Bash’s alpha, has lifted the ban on women in the trailer part Bash can finally look for his mate without angering his alpha. Bash wants that special someone he knows is out there for him. It’s a longing that’s almost heartbreaking in it’s sincerity. His mate is nearer than he thinks, but the road to their happiness is going to be rocky. Yet anything worth having in your life is worth fighting for… even when that challenge involves the one you love.

Emerson is…complicated. I freely admit that it took me a bit of time to see her through Bash’s eyes as a perfect mate for him. She’s so smart about so many thing, yet so cocooned in her safe world about many things. Watching her emerge, take on the anti-shifters in a way that has impact, seeing how she moves from afraid to reach out for what she wants to fully getting close to the man she’s always been attracted to – those steps mattered and made her into a woman who would fit with this man, and this crew.

Boarlander Bash Bear has everything that I enjoy in Shifter Romance. A likable couple, an issue to overcome, danger, a close knit community, of course sexy times and secondary characters who make this world come alive. If you look at the date of this review, you’ll see that I’m doing some catching up on reviews for books that I had a binge reading of a while back. When I read this book our real world was a bit different. Now some parts of this story hit home so strongly. I’ve not said this before, but I admire T.S. Joyce for putting the reality of the world within her stories. Hatred is fear no matter if it’s in our modern day to day world or if it’s within the imaginary world of Shifters. I’ve often thought that she shares the talent of Gene Roddenberry in the ability of being able to show us a taste of reality in a world of our imagination… and address the reality with grace and honesty.

I would highly recommend Boarlander Bash Bear and all the stories and series of Damon’s Mountains to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

I LOVED this one! This could easily be my second favorite of all the books. I think because Bash has my heart. He is a goofy happy guy who happens to love Pizza Rolls. He just wants a mate so dang bad and little cubs too. He is earnest in his looking. He doesn’t come off as a macho guy but he can do protection like nobody’s business. Emerson has crushed on Bash Bear ever since their first meeting. When he sits next to her while she is looking at sperm donors at the cafe. Embarrassment is the number one word! She really can’t do a relationship but a baby....yeah she wants one.

I love seeing and hanging out with the crew. Getting to know Mason and Kirk better is a bonus. Clinton is still the same. Grouchy but Emerson thinks he is coming around. Harrison and Audrey are still fun. Plus Audrey is happy she gets a girlfriend to hang and paint nails with. I don’t even want to mention what happened with the cucumber masks she made for her and Kirk.

This is another enjoyable story that I can’t help smiling at while reading. Yeah there is other factors in this story but Bash and how he conducted himself is the main one. He keeps thinking he talks weird or says things he shouldn’t. But all I hear all the right things! He is a wonder! Even his protection of Emerson is so dang Sweet and Sexy! In fact that’s him all rolled into one!

This is the second book in this series and they should be read in order. Next to Beaston Bash Bear is my favorite bear. He is funny and wants a mate so badly. He doesn’t overthink things. He says what he thinks even if it isn’t always appropriate. Emerson works at the local paper and she has wanted to be a mother for quite some time. So, she is taking matters into her own hands and getting invitro. Then she meets Bash she had messaged him on the bangaboarlander.com website some time ago but Bash never responded to her. Bash knows the minute he sits next to Emerson at the diner that she is his mate but humans take things slower. Bash must find a way to be patient. Emerson only wants a friend right now. Things are changing on the mountain. If Emerson doesn’t make up her mind if she wants more with Bash she may lose her choice in the matter. I can’t say enough about Bash. This book ends with a lot of changes coming to the mountain. Not just for the Boarlands but all the crews. Emerson is so sweet but meeting Bash when she does changes what she wants and she has decisons to make. I can’t wait to read the next book and she what happens with all the changes. Another fantastic book by T.S. Joyce.
