With university just around the corner, and early acceptances pouring in, Calista Hale was as busy as teenagers got during their senior year. With striving to complete her final semester, being submerged elbows deep in dirty dish water, and maintaining a subpar social life, Cali's world was a jumbled mess of trying to survive high school. Despite the chaos, things were relatively on track, Calista had most of what she wanted figured out. What she wasn't accounting for was a tutoring proposition so late in the term.
When her favourite guidance counsellor selects her to tutor a fellow student, Calista has a hard time refusing. In the end, she convinced herself that the extra sparkle to her transcript would get her where she wanted to go. But once she accepts she wishes she could throw herself back in time, before she made the mistake of agreeing to tutor Lincoln Pierce. The boy was hell-bent on avoiding her, even relying on scare tactics to push her away. And for the life of her, Calista couldn't figure out why.
As she comes to realize, not everything is as plain as it seems. Lincoln Pierce is anything but plain. Incredibly infuriating, but never plain.
This is one of the better books on Wattpad. I really enjoyed the relationship between Lincoln and Cali. I liked that it developed in a believable pace, not insta-love. I also liked the fact that Cali worked at a daycare center and it allowed the author to show what a kind, dependable, good person Cali is to others. She is a person of integrity. And little Sadie---such a sweetheart. Supporting characters were great. Some plot twists and a great ending round out this well written book. Highly recommend.
this book was actually super action packed and it had me on the edge of my seat during the last couple of chapters. it was a little boring in the beginning but it was definitely worth the read.
I loved this book! It is one of my favorites now! I am definitely going to archive this book on Wattpad to read again someday. It did start off a bit slow, but it got so much better! The last few chapters had me so anxious. The character development in this book was great. The supporting characters were funny and so loveable (especially his little sister)! I love Lincoln and Cali's relationship. They were so cute!! I 100% definitely recommend you guys read this book. As of now, you guys can read it for free on Wattpad!
