This story contains content which is intended for readers over the age of 18. Previously release as "Taken by Her Best Friend's Brother" under a different name. She was thrilled and had no intention of seeing him anytime soon. Home for the Thanksgiving holiday, Rachel hoped she could continue to avoid him. What if he wouldn't let that happen? Would all of her feelings come rushing back, or would she remember who he really was? I received this in a big bundle of free books to put in my kindle. I did not like it at all. The story was simple and it was just not written very well. I feel bad but I did not like it at all.

Rachel and Karen have been best friends since they were 12. At 13 Karen’s brother, Brad and Rachel shared a kiss. Rachel’s been in love with Brad since then. However, shortly after that he becomes the captain of the football team and his whole attitude changes. She no longer cares for the person he’s become. After he left for college she’s avoided him at all cost.

Rachel and Karen are in their freshman year of college on opposite sides of the country. They
can’t wait until Thanksgiving break to see each other. Rachel heads across the street to see her bff. She is shocked when Brad opens the door. She ends up telling him exactly what she thinks of him. She feels relieved then something unexpected happens. You will have to read to find out what it is.

A cute short story. For me, the story line had a little more meat to it and grabbed my attention in part 3. Could strick some emotional triggers for someone of this age group.

Sharon Cummin did a good job on this book about a girl who has a crush on her best friend brother.

Karen and Rachel are best friends. Rachel had a secret crush on Karen's brother Brad and they shared their first kiss when she was 13 years old. The two of them never talked about the kiss and Brad continued to tease both of them. When Karen and Rachel entered high school Rachel saw what a player Brad was and her heart was broken. She did everything she could to avoid Brad once he left for college and for two years she was successful; until she came home her freshman year of college for Thanksgiving. Karen wanted her to come right over when she arrived home and when she knocked on the door, Brad answers the door. This is the first time in two years that Karen has come face to face with him.

So getting together at holidays were the only time to see each other. Rachael had avoided Brad for several years; however this holiday her mom and Karen's parents had agreed to have dinner together at Karen's home.. This holiday was different, because Brad was there and he was watching Rachael like he wanted to say something or even grab her.. She was completely confused because he wasn't acting like the arrogant jerk she remembered.. One night as she was at Karen's house watching movies, she fell asleep and woke up early in the morning and tried to sneak out of the House. Rachael was stopped by no other than, Brad... He confronted her and asked why she avoids him ? He confesses he is very attracted to her and they em brace - trying to get enough of one another before anyone see's them.

I received this ARC for an honest review and I would most certainly recommend it to other cause it is worth reading. I can't wait to read more by this author.

A Crush on Her Best Friend's Brother, Part 1

Rachel's first kiss was when she was 14 with her best friend's brother, Brad, he was a couple of years older than Rachel. It was the best kiss ever, but was never spoke of it again. Karen, her BFF was Brad's sister. Brad was nice before he went to high school. Then he turned into a real jerk when he became a football star.

Rachel taught herself to despise him and tried to forget that first kiss. Rachel and Karen now go to colleges on opposite sides of the country, and only see each other on major holidays.

For several years she has made sure she never saw Brad when they were home at the same time. But this time, she can't avoid him.

This great story is about young love, later turning into hate in Rachel's mind. Then she literally runs into him. Old conflicting emotions come barreling down on Rachel like a runaway train!

What will she do about her conflicting desires? Can she keep up her wall of isolation? Has Brad really changed for the better? Can she really forget him when she goes back to school? Will there be a big surprise in part 2?

I can't wait to read Part 2 which should be out in a couple of days. There is no HEA in Part 1. What will happen in Part 2?

Sharon fills her books with twists and turns, so you can never predict the next surprise.

I received an ARC copt in exchange for an honest review

I was given a copy of this book to download by Sharon Cummin to lave an honest review.
As this is only Part one of the series it was just long enough to keep you wanting more! Its a fast pacing book but that's what i like about book's that come in parts like this.
I'm not very good at giving reviews as i feel i may spoil the book however if you like steamy romances this is a must read

In Crush on her best friend's brother we meet Rachel who is home from college for thanksgiving, for the past 2 years she has avoided her best friend Karen's brother Brad with a vengeance.
From a young age Rachel thinks Brad is cute but since becoming a star football player he changed.
Once in High school they had shared a kiss together it had meaning for Rachel but brad never said a word not long after his personality got worst.
with the return home she is wanting to avoid him at all costs however that's not an option not only the night of her arrival home dose she bump into him when she goes to see Karen but she then tells him what a jerk he is only for his response is to kiss her. Now she cant get Brad out of her mind and worse still the next day Karen informs her that Rachel and her mother have been invited to thanksgiving dinner.
This book is short but covers the 4 days perfectly and things heat up between Rachel and Brad quickly - However I can not wait for part 2

Rachel has secretly harbored a crush on her best friend Karen's brother (Brad) since they were kids. Brad was two years older and a football star. He was Rachel's first kiss and she worshiped him from afar for years. Until, he changed. He no longer played the game with the passion that Rachel admired him for. Instead, his game moved off of the field and on to whatever girl was willing to fall at his feet. Rachel decided the best way to deal with his personality change was to ignore him... which was easy since she was leaving for college. For the next two years, she successfully managed to avoid Brad on each return home whether for summer or holidays. Until Thanksgiving plans throw them together unexpectedly. Rachel cannot fien indifference any longer and Brad demands answers as to why she avoided him. The two share another passionate kiss raised from frustration and bottled up emotions and later... Brad becomes another first for her. The morning after, Rachel cannot fathom seeing Brad again nor facing Karen - knowing that she just slept with her brother. She escapes to the airport early, planning to run back to school and place her encounters with Brad behind her without a word.

I feel head over heels for this story. It’s a fun fast short read that keeps you interested to the very end. Sharon has become one of my go to authors. She is amazing at taking you right to the heart of things and keeping you there. The cliffhangers alone keep me wanting more!
Rachel has had a crush on her best friend’s brother for as long as she can remember. He was her first crush, kiss and heartbreak. Brad broke Rachel heart so much that she did everything she could to avoid him, once he left for college. It was two years before their paths crossed again.
Rachel coming back home from her first year away at college, missing her best friend she couldn’t wait to meet up with Karen. In her rush to spend some much need girl time with Karen lead her right straight in to the one person she tried to avoid at all cost. How much would this crossing of paths cost Rachel?

Great weekend read that keeps you wanting more! I’m looking forward to the next in the series. Rachel and Brad are funny, sarcastic and just all around lovable. I will tell you that you’re going to want to smack them at times too!

Short and sweet…
In this very short instalment, the first in a four part series, Rachel is home for the holidays and eager to visit her best friend Karen. They’d become besties from the first day and Brad, Karen’s brother, was always part of the mix. Something changed though and she’d successfully managed to avoid her teenage crush for a few years now. She hoped to keep it that way.
I really enjoy the quick, straight to the heart of the matter, books by this author even if this particular story was a bit too short. I know this is part of a serial, I know that, but I couldn’t help be disappointed that it ended way too quickly. Character development and a complicated plot won’t be found here but I did get a feel for who Brad and Karen were as they met again for the first time as adults. They have both matured and were looking at each other with more mature eyes.
Love and hate straddle a thin line and that is very much in evidence here as their reunion is rife with both. There is drama, there is heat, and there is a lot of story yet to come. Bring on the next instalment!

"Sweet, Touching, and steamy hot"
The characters are amazing. The storyline is sweet.
Rachel is a young college student, her best friend is Karen who she has been best friends sense they were twelve. Karen has one brother Brad when Rachel was thirteen she had a major crush on Brad. In fact he was her first kiss. Then in highschool he became the star football player, and he changed. He became a arrogant playboy, and just picked on Rachel and Karen. Sense then Rachel had avoided him each time he was home from college. Now she is older, and home for Thanksgiving she wants to see Karen and her parents but not Brad. When Rachel first got home she went over to see Karen only her and her parents were not home. Brad was and Rachel finds herself having a light make out session with him!. Oh my has Brad changed and Rachel finds herself falling for him over again! Will he break her heart again?. You will love this sweet, and steamy love story. It is a must read book!. The only thing I did not like about it is it is a cliffhanger. But I still can not wait to read the rest of the story!.

****i received this book from the author as an ARC as exchange for an honest review****

Rachel has always had a crush on her best friends brother, Brad. He was a few years older, popular, played football and was hot!!!! Brad was also her first crush and first kiss, he acted as if it didn't affect him. She was completely crushed when he went off to college and soon her and Karen followed, she stayed away so long because she feared she would eventually run into him. This thanksgiving there was absolutely no way of hiding. He tried convincing her he was a changed man but she was too reluctant! Again Brad was Rachel's first crush and first kiss...wonder what else he provide as her first.

I liked this read! The sex scenes was hot and the characters had history! It wasn't like they automatically met and hit the sack! I didn't like how short it was though! I wish there was a little bit of a prologue and a little more of a chase! Can't wait to read part 2!!!!

***I was given a copy of this book for a true and honest review***

I enjoyed this book. It's a sweet, slightly naughty, easy read. You will be able to read this in one setting.

This book is about Rachel's feelings for her best friends brother. The girls were long time friends and as a young girl she worshipped Brad Karen's brother. Brad changed after his and Rachel's kiss one night when she had a sleep over at Karen's house. He was a definite playboy and Rachel's tender young feelings for Brad changed to anger and contempt. She has been avoiding him since he left for college. She ends up telling Brad about her contempt for him and that she's been avoiding him for over the years. A kiss later and Rachel is confused about what her true feeling for Brad. Brad was her first kiss and during this years Thanksgiving break things change dramatically for her as she invites Brad to be her first

●▬▬▬▬๑۩ 5 STAR REVIEW ۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●

n and she had a brother named Brad. Everyone loved Brad, he was gorgeous and Rachel was not the exception. Brad had been Rachel's first kiss and for as long as she could remember she loved him.

As time passed her love for Brad grew and she was trying to stay away from him, he was a player and she didn't wanted to be just another notch on his belt. But what would happen when she is face to face with the love of her life?

This story is like every girls fantasy, who has not had a best friend and she had an older brother and you find him so attractive you fall in love with him? Well this story is just like any girls dream.

You will not want to miss how this story unfolds.

I know I can't wait to see how this two work it out.

An Awesome Read!

I loved reading A Crush on Her Best Friend's Brother, Part 1, all about Rachel a young college freshman whose home for thanksgiving for the first time, and her BFF Karen whose also home for the first time. The girls have always Ben inseparable and Karen's parents can't wait to see Rachel and hear all about her adventures. When she gets home she bumps into Brad, Karen's older brother, who she has always had a crush on, and seems he feels the same way. However, when Rachel was younger, Brad was a grade a pain in the tush, and she has always carried a crudge against him for that! After thanksgiving, things heat up between the two, she goes home and then leaves early for the airport so she doesn't run into him. Read this book it's hot and steamy and will leave you wet! I can't wait to read part 2, 3 & 4.

I received and ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The story line is awesome... young girl coming home for Thanksgiving vacation and runs into her best friends brother who was a total jerk in high school. Now they are both in college and the sparks fly. I can't wait to see what happens with Brad and Rachel. The only reason this did not get 5 stars is because the book is so short. I personally like to know the background of the characters. I felt like I needed to know more about Rachel's mother and Rachel's relationship with her. I also felt like I wanted more background from their high school years. That being said...I would love to read the next book in this series...I am personally hoping it is a little longer!!

Review of Part 1.

Originally posted on my blog: http://lampshadereader.com/2016/03/09...

Very steamy, fun read. Full of cute and funny dialogue. Main character seems relatable but yet, a bit unsure of herself and feelings. Rachel goes from hating Brad, to being extremely attracted to him. It would be interesting to see how she progresses and what the future holds for these two.

Their relationship at this point seems like it is only based on physical attraction. Not much relationship or character development yet, but it did keep me interested.

Note: This is a very short read, but being as it’s only part 1 that’s a given.

Another hit for me. Rachel has come back from college for a visit. She is excited to spend time with her mom and her best friend. She doesn't want to run in to Brad her friends brother. As fate would have it he is the first person she bumps into. Things spiral out of control from there. Sharon did a great job of telling Rachel's story and how she has come to despise Brad. I find myself hating him as well. These two had one explosive reunion good and bad and the text conversations were also a hit for me. I'm so excited to see where these two are headed after the way the story ended can't wait for part 2!

Could have been better...

What can I say? I like the book, I hate the heroine a little because she's hot and cold with her feelings, the hero so far is good and dominant. I do hate that the book was rushed and ended at 70%. Why did the author feel this needed to be a 2 part book rather than a full length novel? Everything was rushed, there was no character build up or background, there was nothing. Just girl has crush on best friend's brother, takes it to the next step, feels guilt and runs away. Oh, she also keeps judging him by his past as a teenager rather than realizing people change and they grow up.

Good but short

This is a decent quick read, and by that I mean it look me less than an hour to read. If you are between books and just need something to take your mind off the latest novel, this short story will totally work for you. This story takes place over three day really, and it's a classic, "but it's my friends brother story." We all know what's going to happen, so in that sense it's satisfying knowing the end game. I usually look for longer reads, I want something fluffy that's going to take up like a weekend to read. If this had been longer it would have been 5 stars.

A wonderful start to a new series. I love the romances with best friend's brother. I just don't know what Karen is going to say when it comes out that Rachel is in love with Karen's brother, Brad. The girls are home from college for Thanksgiving and so is Brad. Rachel has avoided him for over 2 years. Coming face to face knocks Rachel for a loop. A very hot sex scene and there is a cliffhanger but I am so excited to read part 2. I have been a fan of Sharon Cummin's books and I love this one too!!

Crush. I received the book as a ARC member in return for an honest review. The author has started the book off with a slow start in order to get the background. She thought and hoped Brad had changed from what he was like back in high school. When she saw him after running from him for 2 years her heart fluttered. But after being with Brad one night and him finding out her secret, she's not sure that was a good idea. Now I am yearning to know what happened to Rachel when she goes back to school.

Yet another brilliant book by Sharon Cummin.
This is a shorter story than I usually read but it was well worth reading!
Rachel has returned home for Thanksgiving and her friends brother Brad is also home, she has avoided Brad for a few years because of her feelings for him.
Brad has grown up over the last couple of years and seems to have changed his playboy ways and also has feelings for Rachel.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book!

Sharon Cummins has done it again! This story immediately grabs your attention with the story line. Then if that wasn't enough, add in the hot, sexy, childhood crush/ hot sexy grown man that happens to be your best friends brother and sparks will fly. The chemistry between the childhood friends makes for a hot read that I could not put down. Anxiously awaiting the next installment. Thank you for writing this.
