The people we save look at us like we’re superheroes, or guardian angels, but we bleed.
We break.
And sometimes, we even die.
Della thought she was a normal sixteen-year-old until the night she met a vampire behind a drugstore and discovered a deadly power. Now The Agency wants to recruit her, but who are they, and where does this power come from?
How do you choose between a destiny to save the world and the people you love?

A higher purpose. I have to admit that I was super excited to read this series of Vivian's right up to the beginning where it said "This is the personal account of Agent Seven’s training in her own words..." However.. WHOLEY MOLEY DUSTIN' VAMPIRES! This story told in first person drew me in so fast it was crazy!! COMPLETELY VAMPTABULOUS!!! WOW!! What an AGENTASTIC story that mesmerized me from the very start!! You had me at Chapter One!! I was surprised to see just how engrossed into the story I was! I didn't even realize it until I finished SEVEN AWAKENED! WOWOHWOWOHWOW!!! Vivian has completely blown me away with this story! I love the originality of it. I love ALL OF IT! And yes, I will admit it. I love, Love, ABSO-FANGIN'-LUTELY LOVE how it is written!! Vivian certainly knows what she's doing and I have NEVER been happier to admit that I was wrong and I am soooo overjoyed I gave the book a chance! In fact I think I finished this in record time, I was THAT in to it!!! Good thing I was reading this in the series box set so I didn’t have to wait to start the next book! Truly a creative story that is exceptionally well written! It’s filled with so many amazing features, multifaceted characters that you can’t help but like, love, dislike or hate, depending who we are talking about. wink Vivian truly is one tremendously talented and gifted author! It’s not often I get THIS captivated by a story that has the Vampires on the wrong side of things, so that alone should prove just how WONDELLAFUL this book truly is!! (I read & reviewed The Strange Allies Set (books 1 - 3), but I also did a short review for each individual book as well.)
I felt the book was decent. I did like it but it ended too soon. I wanted more action during Seven's missions. This was like an introductory short story. I'm definitely intrigued and will be reading more in this series. The writing was good and the story flowed very well. So I'm excited to read more I love a female heroine.
Seven awakened was a short story and the beginning of the series. In this part the reader gets to know Della and how and why she was recruited by The Agency. The story was intriguing, suspenseful and narrated from Della’s POV. Piqued my curiosity and left me wanting to know more about Della’s first missions.
What a great start to this series. Quick and fun read. We meet Della Garvison aka Seven - 16 yrs old girl with a gift. She is a small town girl who is in school and helps her mother. Seems pretty normal, right? Well there is nothing "normal" about Della! She is strong, protective and compassionate. I love characters like this! We follow her from sixteen to nineteen and what a difference a few short years can make. Now that I have been introduced to Seven I have to see where she will go and what will happen next! Awesome job Vivian Lane, Now on to the next book in this series!!!
