The Syrian Tragedy

Rate this book

"Bashar al-Assad’s tanks are only two hundred meters away. Victims arrive by the minute, transported in the back seats and trunks of cars and on pickup beds. Aid workers bring wounded civilians and rebels into the waiting room and carry out the dead, leaving a trail of blood on the tiles behind them."

Really? All that civilian driving around with tanks two hundred meters away? Were the tanks empty? Burning? Kind of like the bombs reported to be falling all around Hillary as she landed in Bosnia. Exciting but not convincing after thinking about it.

I agree with getting Assad out of power (so no bad reviews from me) but it's not because of gripping frontline reporting.
