Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.
The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.
Disappointed in this one. So many avoidable spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors: who edited this book? Also, the travel references between England and Scotland made it seem like the countries are not on the same island, but different continents. It grated on me throughout the story, but at the end where it says, “It was dark by the time they touched back down in Scotland. The four of them had stayed very close together on the journey over…” really annoyed me. Did they fly from Heathrow or Gatwick to Edinburgh or Glasgow? Why would they take a £5 flight of an hour when both Julian and Devon have vehicles they wouldn’t leave behind in London? And “…on the journey over…”? Over to where? People travel up to Scotland, they go over to France, etc. England and Scotland are landlocked! How did they stay very close together? If they were on a plane, they’d be in separate seats. If they drove, they’d be in separate seats. They did not go by boat (no travel services available, for a start), as they couldn’t have then “touched back down”. So how did they “stay very close together on the journey over”? There are so many ridiculous and implausible scenes / sentences like this throughout the story. Rant over. Despite this, I enjoyed the storyline and plot, I like the characters, and will read the next in the series.

Easily the worst one so far. The stuff with Gabriel and Rae was extremely unnecessary. I’m invested enough to keep pushing because I wanna know what happens but I’m a little tired of the special snowflake syndrome and every boy needing to be in love with Rae. They’re almost adults not middle schoolers.
She's lucky she's not on her own, like everyone thinks she is. Only with her closest friends can she move forward towards a future and try and put everyone else's past behind her. But really, did the Council have to do that to her!
I don't know if I'm losing interest in the series, but I'm just... bored. I absolutely loath Devon. He is so incredibly selfish and jealous and extremely annoying. Every single character is. And I was excited because of all the 'hints' at Julian possibly being gay in previous books but then it turned into some sort of toxic het instalove crap that tried too hard to make itself an enemies to lovers story. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Gabrielle is the only reason I'm picking up the next book. Though, I don't have high hopes.
This series is light reading. No taxing your memory to remember all the characters. The only problem I have with the series is the constant drama going on in her mind. The books are full of lots of action and the pace is fast. I didn't think the series would hold my attention for this long, but I've purchased the whole series.
When we left the group something had happen with Rae know she had a new fight of her life to get her and her friends free from everything that was coming at them in full force. Someone from the past was after her and wouldn't rest until she was his. W.J. May has done it again with this book in the series with tons of twist and turns with every page as you think you have someone figured out nope she throws a curve ball in the mix to have you trying to figure out what you missed along the way as you were reading. If you haven't read any of W.J. May's work what is holding you back. This is a great Paranormal Action Romance...it has a little something for everyone to grab onto and not let go.
Amazing book, can't read it fast enough. Rae is branded a traitor, on the run from the privy council with Gabriel helping her when things go from bad to worse because Cromfield plays dirty. 4 friends just trying to do the right thing and when you don't have much life experience how are you supposed to make that work. Well written, action packed with enough twists and turns to keep you interested in the books and keep on reading 🥰🥰
Rae is just awesome. More of the audacious Rae Kerrigan and all of the trial and tribulations that she goes through. All she wants is to just live a normal life but what is normal for someone with the powers that she has? Love, lust, friendship and family all come together in this fantastic part of the Chronicles of Kerrigan. It leaves you wondering "what's next".
Rae has been arrested by the Privy Council and the handsome, cocky, seductive Gabriel breakwater out of jail. On top of trying to prove her nine, she must figure out her attraction to Gabriel because she knows her heart belongs to Devon. Another great story to add to The Kerrigan Series.
Love Rae and the gang. Always something going on, twists and turns, never know who is going to pop out of the woodwork. Captivating characters that you just have to fall in love with and laugh and cry with.
Ok how sad the people our main character trusts betray her. Love the new character Gabriel, he is funny and quite the hero. Another good book in the series with betrayal, some action, and romance. Not too many errors in this book.
I cannot wait to read the next book! Suspenseful and intriguing. All the books have kept me guessing. The reminder of the series will hopefully be the same.
I loved this book! Rae develops more in this book and learns how to stand up for herself and what she plans to do with her life. I’m just so excited to see how this all comes together.
Love the story, appalled by the editing. A few ARC readers would catch most of the errors. If the story wasn't so good I would have put it down due to the numerous editing errors throughout.
It seems Rae's life is a never-ending scene of betrayal, but along the way she finds new allies. This book picks up right where book seven left off...Rae in prison at the Privy Council. She has to find a means to escape in order to stop Cromfield. This mission is one like she and her friends have never ventured before. It's where Rae finds what she's truly made of. It's her compassion and goodness that sets her apart from her father's legacy. Now she has to prove it to the Privy Council in order to free herself as a fugitive and clear her name. These books keep getting better! The interactions between characters is something magical. I adore this series and its worth every penny! I recommend reading it starting from the box set with the first six books! 5 stars!
This boo had me confused a few times. I figured it out though. Needless to say they are still going threw hell. Rae ends up in jail. Then a mysterious green eyed gorgeous man comes to help. We meet Gabriel he breaks her out of jail and of school grounds with quite ease. Rae doesn't quite trust him but hey he did get her out. They end up and her grandparents house where the gang is making a plan to break her out. Thus includes her mom and Carter. They have to get the other pieces of her dads device before Crawford. Then Gabriel ends up being his spy. To get the pieces. They figure it out race to catch him to find out he didn't get on the train. They question him and then Rae sends him with a letter in hopes of a reply. He replied sending Gabriel back in pieces pretty much. They get him in and stitched up. They all end up asleep he wakes up some what confused Rae explains he OK. They read the note the following morning. Long story short Crawford is backing off. Rae walks right into PC headquarters to talk to them. Pretty much tells them f you and that she's done. And that she's going to get to Crawford before he hurts anyone else. So all 4 head back to her house that was left to her by her grandparents...guess who's there ? HER BROTHER!!!!!!! can't wait for next book. :-)
Wow loved it again can't wait to see what us next for Rae! This book starts out with a bang Rae facing the truth of her immortality and a new character introduced but then a surprising betrayal and the ending was Epic! What comes to mind is She told them HA! Loved it 5 stars all the way another wonderful book from wj may!
Another amazing book in the Chronicles of Kerrigan. This series has kept me on the edge of my seat since the beginning and I'm dying to find out what happens next! I'm swear the story just gets better and better with each book and Twisted Together is no exception.
Another incredible story in the "Chronicles of Kerrigan".
"Twisted Together" is another exciting, enticing, entertaining, and compelling book by W. J. May. Once you start, you can't stop reading these stories Amazing characters, problems, and chemistry, created by an incredibly creative author.
I am so impressed with this series that I want to see it on television. This book needs to be made into a series please.
Now not only do we have the fearsome four (Rae, Molly, Devon and Julian) but in this book we are introduced to a new character, one I love to hate. Gabriel.....
