This one was definitely superior to the firsr volume, with the ecological narrative fusing into the urban dystopia. Plus, the art was awesome.

The ecological themes finally become more visible here and the art is truly impressive, but the story is harder to follow.

This second volume is even more beautiful than the first. The art is truly superb, mesmerising in places. The storytelling remains very strong, but is a little less engaging as it concerns events rather than people, and a mystical environmental backstory emerges. Nevertheless, this remains a very intriguing story, and there are clearly a number of confrontations building up, which certainly pulls the reader in.

The story can be hard to follow at times but it's still intriguing. At the very end, we get some exposition that explains exactly what's going on with this detective story / tale of nature versus the city. The art's good but it can contribute to the confusion. The panels are all coming from oft-kilter angles but I still kind of like it.

The city and the countryside at war. The distorted fish-eye lens art was quite novel but the story could have been told in half a dozen pages.

A story in which nature fights back against industrialization. The story and the artwork feel unfinished, like it is a draft version.

It’s very hard to find a decent comic series with no sexual abuse. This one isn’t the case. So unnecessary 😪
