This was over at 5%. Lots of running around and hiding, shower sex (once), and they're in love. There are no actually chapters, but spaces where they could be. There are 27 other titles listed in the table of contents all between 2-10 "chapters." I don't know if these are full novellas or books. Wasn't taking a chance to find out.

Bearly Protected was a very enjoyable read from start to finish. Even though the story wasn't very long but the plot line was delightful to read. Another brilliant read by the amazing Becca Fanning, I love her book so much they are my go to shifter story I always read.
Bearly Protected is a fantastic paranormal romance by Becca Fanning. Ms. Fanning has provided readers with a well-written book loaded with outstanding characters. Beth was a prosecuting attorney and now has a bounty on her head. Clive is a bear shifter and part of Big Paw Security. Clive and Beth didn't get off to a good start. Their story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to my next book by Becca Fanning. Bearly Protected is book 2 of the Big Paw Security Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete story, not a cliffhanger. There are bonus stories included in this book.
I've read this author befire and loved her work so I thought I was in for a treat. Several stories in one book. I couldn't have been more wrong. These stories felt rushed to fill pages, erotica for the sake of writing it. The editing or lack there of was atrocious. It was so bad that at halfway through this book I gave upp trying to read it.
A fun little story about the members of Paw security. A group of bear shifters who apparently pick their mates from their assignments. Beth is hiding from gangsters and her boss hires the security team to protect her. But who can be guarded by hot shifters without getting naughty with them? It was a good story and unlike many short stories, this one had a conclusion.
This is a quick read and has me wanting more. Beth and Clive are likeable characters, charming together. Beth's quick acceptance of Clive's shifter side made it easier to enjoy. I could have used a bit more story, but what there is makes an interesting read.
Okay, so the story itself is okay, and this is nothing against the talent of the author, because she's a good author. However, there is a very big reason I gave this book one star.
Spoiler alert....

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was very excited to read this book, but in the original copy, the author had Cain, from the first book in the series, die at the end. That was a horrible, heartbreaking twist (poor Linnie and Cain!) that I was very upset about, and completely ruined the book for me.
Now, it's my understanding that the author has changed this and replaced Cain with a character named Track, who is Cain's best friend. I do really appreciate that the author made this change and that Cain is still alive (yay!). However I am still very upset that the author took the male lead from a previous book and had him die, and I'm not sure how I feel about reading future books for fear she'll do this again and not fix it.
I'm also upset that the author still had Track die, when she could have just had him injured badly but survive so we could see more from him in his own book. My favorite kind of book (especially bear shifters) are fun reads where you don't see good guy characters die. When a good guy character dies, it COMPLETELY ruins the book, and breaks my trust of ever reading that author again. Which is a good thing that I didn't trust her to read her books again anyway, since I was dropped from the arc team for leaving an HONEST review.

**SPOILERS** I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book starts with Beth being sent into hiding from her job as her life is in danger, on her way home she realises that she's being followed but believes that she has shaken them. However, once she has arrived at her parents old homeshe notices someone watching her through the window and instantly thinks her lifes in danger. What she doesn't know is that Clive, a bear shifter, has been sent by her employer to protect her. This book was a very quick read but was very enjoyable and I didn't feel that the story lost anything by being short, it was full of romance and suspense and didn't end with a cliffhanger, which is really important to me. I liked the characters very much and found Beths character to be a good strong female lead who wasn't in need of a male to help her deal with her problems, but enjoyed Clives company when offered it. I would definitely recommend this book, and I'm looking forward to continuing with the series.
Beth’s life is in danger just for doing her job. She is set to hide at her father’s house when danger arrives on her doorstep. Clive says he is there to protect her, but the best laid plans go awry and these plans are not well thought out.
A quick read. Seems like the shifter clan running these protection details has many problems they need to work out before they lose too many clients. Beth and Clive are brought together under extreme circumstances. I would have liked a bit more dialogue concerning Clive’s claim on her.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Beth Anthem was a damned good at her job. She'd taken many bad men and women off the street but this time her life is in danger, she's forced into hiding in her Dad's old house. Just when she thinks it is ok for her relax she realises she is being followed. Eventually she sees her follower is the gorgeous man who is guarding her. Clive Ash thought this was just be another job for Big Paw Security, but then he sees the woman is is guarding and realises this is not an ordinary job. Can Clive keep Beth safe?
Nice story with lots of drama, some sex and the HEA. Good for a quick read.
First this is NOT about bear protection, second there was maybe one or two bear, short stories, in the whole cluster. Third, this was plain erotica, which was fine, but NOT advertised!!! Fourth, editing would have been great on most of the stories. And last but not least if I had wanted to read this stuff I would have bought it myself, now I won't buy anything more from this author again!!!
ARC for a fair and honest review. Clive works for his family's company Big Paw Security. His client is a young woman Beth who is being protected from Charles Hudson, she is the person who can put him behind bars. Hudson wants to stop her, she is to go into hiding with Clive as her protector. It becomes much more than just protecting though!
Very quick read. I loved the book but would see this as more of a prequel to something in the future. The writing kept me hooked and interested. For me, the book was over way too fast, so I need to get some more of Becca's books to see what else she has in store. If you want a quick read with a sweet, sensitive bear and his girl, this is the story to pick up.
This was a very short story in a book of many other very short stories that are short on plot, character development, and anything else interesting. I felt confused when I finished the book because it was so short with so little info.
This quick story is about an attorney w/o prosecuted a murdering drug dealer and he got off. He is hired to protect her but she doesn't believe him until the real killers showed up. Enjoy I did.
Kindle Unlimited, bio says enjoys writing 'smut', this was not smut, it was trash; no real plot, no character development, cardboard characters, fill in the blank {bad} stories, 70's porn music in the background fighting with wannabe 50 shades of grey and twilight nonsense. 'Romance' is not graphic sexual situations, and especially not those that are as graphically detailed out, for lack of anything actual worthwhile to put in to the 'story'. For actual writers usually list other books; for this type just name 'writer' Becca Fanning not bloody likely, will take the time to rate all the trash out though.
