Victoria fell in love with Carlos when she was just a young teenager. Two kids, one successful pro-baseball career, and almost two decades later, she's sure she doesn't want to live her life with anyone else. But when news of another baby on the way collides with her already hectic life, the veil of complacency is removed and panic takes its place.Carlos marched Victoria down to the church as soon as she was eighteen years old, resolute that she was the love of his life. Fourteen years later, he doesn't regret his decision for even a second. Their life is beautiful, if not a bit crazy, and he loves his little family. But when his Vic starts acting strange, the secrets she keeps causes him to worry that he just might lose the woman who holds his heart. When truths are revealed on a romantic weekend away with friends, all hell breaks loose. As things begin to unravel, Carlos has to decide what he's willing to sacrifice to regain his Sweet Spot.
Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
I absolutely loved every book in this series. The novella is right up there with the rest of them. Hayley has a way of writing her characters that make you fall in love with them and completely hooked. I enjoy how all the characters carry on their stories though out each book in the series. I'll admit, I am not a baseball fan, but this series converted me! I would highly recommend these books to everyone.
Victoria and Carlos have been married forever. Literally right out of high school. Sixteen year old Carlos took one look at 14 year old Victoria and he was a goner. He never had eyes for anyone else. They were each other's first and only's and neither has ever strayed.
Even fourteen years later, I'm still hot for my Chile Pepper.
Carlos' fame as a hot shot ball player may have challenged their marriage over the years-the long absences on the road, the cleat chasers always looking to score with the players, the paparazzi stirring up rumors, the pressure to stay on top of their game. But they've been together (married?) for fourteen years and have two gorgeous kids. Victoria, by her own admission, insists on doing it all. She doesn't work outside the house, but she cooks, bakes, cleans, takes care of the house and her kids, and is pulled in a million different directions. She refuses to hire help and can't help but think her mother had five kids, worked full time and never had help. She can do it all.
My mother raised five of us while working full time and she never hired help. My parents couldn't afford to hire help, even if they desperately needed it. I would feel selfish if I hired nannies and housekeepers. I don't work, why on earth do I need the help?
All I can say about that is...girl we NEED to talk!
But Victoria's world is just about to change-big time change. She has been after Carlos to get a vasectomy. They are content with two kids and both are under the age of five. With Carlos' long absences while he plays on the road, Victoria has enough to handle. When she realizes she's pregnant again, she begins to panic. She confides in her best friends Libby and concocts a plan to have all their friends spend a weekend together. She'll break the news to Carlos at the same time. (I never really got why she was so reluctant to tell him, he's the one who wouldn't get a vasectomy)
I am nervous as hell to tell him about this future baby of ours. I know Carlos will be fine with it but I'm not sure that I am.
The weekend away is a great avenue to check out how the other couples from the series are making out-Jarrod and Amalie, Jackson and Maggie and Pete and Libby. But the weekend spirals out of control and a wedge drives Carlo and Victoria apart. Just about now is when I want to stick pins in a voodoo doll of Carlos. This guy needs to get a clue (not to mention a foot up his behind!)
"Does this change how you feel about her? Does this change how much you love her?" I ask, lifting a brow in question. "Never. I have loved Victoria since she was fourteen years old. Nothing she does could make me not love her. She's mine, without her I'm not whole."
I love that the "established" couple are the ones having the problems right now. They were starting to take each other for granted and shaking things up a bit is just what they needed to get their priorities straight. They are crazy about each other (and the sex is off the charts in this story!) but a little angst makes for a great story!
We were surviving getting through the day-to-day activities of our lives but we weren't blissfully enjoying being together. Loving each other.
Hayley Faiman has become one of my favorite go to authors very quickly, as I will never get enough of her writing. No matter what she writes, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, and pretty sure I could rate her to-do list 5 Stars. We have met Victoria and Carlos in all the other Men of Baseball books, so I was so happy that she got her turn in the spotlight. Victoria has been in love with Carlos since she was a young teenager, in fact, he's the only man she's ever been or wants to be with. Two kids later, they have been married for a long time, and the heat is still present. But when she gets a shock, and finds herself pregnant again, she's beside herself about it. Carlos has only ever loved his wife, and he knows her well, so he knows she's hiding a secret that's tearing her apart. On a romantic weekend with their friends, she reveals that they are having another child, and he doesn't react very well, but when a bigger secret is revealed, all hell breaks loose. Will Carlos bad reaction have long term consequences, or will they be able to work it out?
WOW WOW WOW! Victoria has always been a spitfire in the other stories, so I knew she would have to have a huge emotional story, and I wasn't disappointed. The character development is fantastic, with the other characters in the series all involved so it's great to see what everyone is up to. A highly addicting, instantly captivating, and very well written story line flows perfectly, and my only complaint is that it isn't long enough to feed my addiction properly. Hayley Faiman, you are one sexy beast, with the EXPLOSIVELY HOT HOT HOT panty disintegrating sexy scene goodness that is NEVER boring! A few twists and turns kept me on my toes, and I did get mad at Carlos, but the forgiveness factor is ever present and powerful. All I can end with is that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY and FOREVER MORE, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Sweet Spot for Victoria by Hayley Faiman is the fourth book in the Men of Baseball series. Victoria and Carlos have been in love for as long as they can remember. He plays baseball, she stays home with the kids, and they love each other unconditionally. They have two kids, and Victoria was adamant about not wanting any more. She finds out that she’s pregnant, and it becomes a secret she hides from everyone. She can’t believe it. Carlos knows she’s hiding something, but can’t seem to get the secret out of her. The secret finally comes out as the couple, along with their other friends, spends the weekend on a romantic getaway. Carlos is furious. Not only did she keep this secret from him, but another pregnancy? Carlos and Victoria get into some heated arguments. The weekend away from the kids was supposed to be fun, but things took an unexpected turn. Will Victoria and Carlos come together, reigniting their love? Find out in Sweet Spot for Victoria!
I would give this book five stars! The characters are so likeable, and all the relationships show an undeniable attraction and genuine love. Told from perspectives of many of the characters, Sweet Spot for Victoria is a great read.
Title:Sweet Spot for Victoria Author: Hayley Faiman Series: Men of Baseball #4 Release Date: 2-14-16 Genre(s): Romance Page Count: 132 Heat Level: 3 flames out of 5 Rating: 5 stars out of 5
Sweet Spot for Victoria by Hayley Faiman was a huge 5+ star read. Romance, Hot Alpha Baseball players, Hot Baseball wives, Hot sex scenes, Humor
My husband, the a$$hole with his super, F@@king sperm. I’m going to kill him. I plot his demise after the doctor leaves me alone to get dressed.
Hayley Faiman has done it again with this great novella from the Men of Baseball series.
This is Victoria and Carlo’s story told in alternating POV among all of the friends. You get to see Vic and Carlos deal with life changing things and how they work through them, they are childhood sweethearts and are still crazy about each other after so many years. Vic finds out that she is pregnant with twins. She is already struggling with exhaustion with the two they have. What is she going to do now? And how will Carlos react?
To sweeten the news Vic plans a weekend away with all of their friends. Carlo’s can feel something is wrong but can’t get her to open up to him. When she finally breaks the news Carlo’s isn’t sure how to react and of course doesn’t say the things he should, however the second half of the news sends him running and leaving Vic for a couple of days.
We can do anything but we cannot do everything.
“This life wouldn’t be worth living without you right here by my side.”
Victoria is hilarious, and the things that come out of her mouth is awesome. She pretty much tells it like it is and doesn’t care who hears it. And the sex is off the charts hot for all couples. I absolutely love this series and all of the secondary characters I was glad to see all of them again and get a glimpse into how they are all doing and how their families are expanding. There is no cliffhanger and I highly suggest you read the first three books in the series before reading Sweet Spot. Hayley Faiman is an author that I will buy first then read basically because she draws you into her world with her great writing. Lots of sex, humor, hotness both men and women. I highly recommend you get caught up on the Men of Baseball series so you can get started on this great read. This is definitely one of my tops reads of 2016. Men of Baseball: #1-Pitching for Amalie, #2-Catching Maggie, #3-Forced to Play for Libby, #4- Sweet Spot for Victoria

I am absolutely blown away that a novella could have such an awesome punch! I am honestly blown away that Hayley once again has rocked my world!!!
Victoria and Carlos were always on my mind while reading the other books in the series. Wondering about their whole dynamic. I absolutley fell in love with them! Victoria won me over immediately and of course Carlos has a way about him that makes you swoon! This book had the perfect combination of amazing and hot chemistry, an awesome stroyline that grabbed me from the start until the end! Plus with the right amount of emotions and drama and angst this is a perfect quick read!
Hayley has easily become one of my absolute favorites and yes I am secretly hoping for more to come in this series!! There are a lot of men on the team!!! I would without a doubt recommend this book to everyone!! I could reread not just this story, but the entire serious over and over!!!
This is #4 in a series that I am LOVING! This one was short but sweet, couldn't put it down, honestly read it in one sitting.
Carlos and Victoria are happily married and totally in love! They are the ultimate relationship dream high school sweethearts, never been with anyone else, married young and living a dream. Their bumps in the road only make them real! I would LOVE to see a Nikolas book! I am intrigued by his new relationship.
Overall I love all the characters in this series, did they have faults , make horrible decisions and asses at tines? Yes, yes they did but as humans whether male or female we act stupid at times, make horrible choices and spend immeasurable time trying to make up for it. That's one reason I liked Hayley's books they aren't sappy and cheesy but real. Yes Carlos didn't handle the change in their families dynamics as well as he should've and yes he was a complete ass leaving the way he did but he quickly scurried back to Victoria and his family and made things right . I loved Victoria she was a strong, sassy, beautiful woman and that's why I hated how she hid so much from her Carlos, had she told him upfront why she was acting so strangely maybe things would've gone as different direction. Aside from the rough start this was a fun read and I loved visiting with old friends. I loved seeing how everyone's lives had turned out and that despite where they were, they were still that tight knit group of friends I fell in love with from the beginning!!
Each book in this series just got better and better!! I absolutely loved Book 4 about Victoria & Carlos. It's truly rare to see high school sweethearts stay together, but this is one couple that was just truly in love with one another. Yes, they both did some things in this book that maybe weren't the smartest; but never once did I doubt that they wouldn't end up together. Loved seeing mini little chapters/scenes in the book for each of the couples from books 1-3. Such a great conclusion to a wonderful series!!
Loved this one.. Not only was this one about Victoria but it gives you all the couples and how things worked out for all of them. I did want to throat punch someone because of the way he reacts. But overall amazing well written from beginning to end. I enjoyed this whole series loving each couple . Highly recommend.
Loved this one. Carlos and Vic have always been so perfect, it's nice to see emotion, them falling apart and rallying back together. I loved hearing from all the other couples and seeing where life takes them. Perfect ending to a great series!
What a way to end a series. Each book was just a little better than the last. I would have to say this one was my favorite. Thank you Hayley for giving us The Men Of Baseball ⚾
Amazing series and full of amazing heat! So so much heat you won't want to put it down. Fantastic stories that cover an actual already married couple and it was a great change of pace. Loved it
Carlos and Victoria are in it for the long haul. Having been together since they were teenagers, they have grown together. Follow Carlos and Victoria as they prepare for a new addition. Enjoy Carlos' antics and his outgoing personality.
Loved Carlo and Victoria what a sweet spicy couple , absolutely loved this series and I'm sad it's come to an end, if you haven't read the men of baseball series do yourself a favour and read it now 😍😍
This was a great conclusion to this series. Victoria and Carlos have always been solid. When Vic gets some life altering news, she's thrown for a loop as to how to I've the news to her husband.
Hayley has done it yet again!!’ Her writing is flawless no one writes alphas like Hayley this book was amazing and pure perfection get those one-click fingers ready!!
This is the second book that I've read by Hayley Faiman and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Hayley has given us a hot romance ,with a hot alpha male baseball player, hot baseball wives, and some steamy hot sex scenes. The character are sweet ,caring ,loving ,and strong and the secondary characters bring the story line to life. This is Victoria's and Carlos story, and it's told in alternating points of view among all of them and their friends. We see how Vic and Carlos works through life changing things and how their handle things that come up together. She has loved her Carlos since being a young teenager and is still in crazy love with each other, after all these years. Poor Vic gets unexpected new that she pageant with twins, but she's already is struggling with exhaustion with the two they already have, how will she be able to handle two more and what will Carlos think when she tells him. So she plans a weekend away with their friends ,But Carlos knows there's something wrong because he can feel i. But she's just not saying a thing to him. But when Vic breaks the news to him,he just doesn't know how to react and he doesn't say the right things ,that he should of said to her,but as she tell him the second part of the news it sends him running from her for a couple of days. Can their love with stand this new or will he walk away from it all?I could go on and tell you more about this great story ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this touching story ,you would be disappointed.
Oh, how I wanted this series to never end! Those men of summer, and the women they loved, had stories that just made my heart a happy thing… If it has to finish though than this was the perfect ending. Full of drama and emotion, and lots and lots of kids, this finale had, above all else, an abundance of love!
Victoria and Carlos’ story started when they were just kids and they battled youth, highs and lows – on and off the ball field, together. Always together. The love, and lust, hadn’t lessened with any of the passing years and it was refreshing (and hot) to read how much they still cared (and craved) each other. Nothing is perfect though and their latest challenge was going to test all the bonds they’d created over the years…
“Yeah, I’m a pain your perfect f***** a**, is what I am.”
I was surprised at the turmoil these two found themselves in. They always seemed so together, so solid. But, no one is immune to human foibles and Vic and Carlos show how human they are when they stumble and fumble through the strongest test of their love for each other. The pages were jam-packed with so much emotion – with anger and love vying for top spot – that this was a book I had to read in one sitting.
Surrounded by their closest friends, their family, I loved how everyone was brought back to check in while this series checked out. My favourite of them all!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
3.5-4 stars Sweet Spot for Victoria is a novella in the Men of Baseball series by Author Hayley Faiman. It is a continuation of Victoria and Carlos's story.
Victoria has just found out what could possibly break her. It will change her routine, her body, and her last bit of sanity. Carlos is a man, period. Exclamation point! At times he lacks the calming words that a woman needs when she's about to freak the heck out. But, they have a lasting love that binds them together and an insatiable desire for one another that will hold them in the meantime. We have the opportunity to experience this part of their life with them and their closest friends.
Told in multiple points of view, Sweet Spot for Victoria was like a shot of tobacco sauce; hot and spicy, tough on the tongue at times, but added a flavor that only Carlos and Vic could bring. I love that Author Hayley Faiman brought the reality of life into this story. Marriage, children, work, responsibilities, they aren’t always a bed of roses. However, it was with great enthusiasm that I read the way in which these characters walked and, at times, barreled their way through each day, making the most of the life that they had been gifted. It was also a special treat to witness the support and love that Carlos and Vic received from their closest friends. Another good addition to this series.
Hayley Faiman has packed a lot into this novella. It is the final book in The Men of Baseball series. We finally get the story of the spicy Latinos Carlos and Victoria, and boy can these two heat it up. They are two of the most passionate characters I've read in a long time. Wether they are loving or fighting, they do it full-on, no holding back. Victoria has always been the outspoken, "oh no he didn't" one of the group. She loves her family and friends and is fiercely loyal. Carlos is a typical "guy". He loves the ladies, but none as much as his wife, who he fell in love with when he was sixteen. When life throws them a curveball, their perfect life is about to change.
This novella was the perfect conclusion to the series. Not only did we get Victoria and Carlos' story, but we caught up with all of the other couples and how their lives have changed, and families have grown. This novella is jam packed with new beginnings, loving, fighting, surprises, and happily ever afters. I couldn't have asked for more! I'm sorry to see this series come to an end. It will definitely go on my list of books to re-read!
Victoria and Carlos have been together for more than half of their lives. Carlos knew from the moment he saw fourteen year old Victoria that she was his. They have grown up together in life and in love. Their love only grows stronger with each trial they are faced with.
It was so much fun learning Victoria and Carlos' story and this was also a great "catch up" for all of our other favorite baseball players from this series. I enjoyed the banter and stubbornness between these two. The way Carlos "handles" Victoria and the Mexican culture is included throughout the book. It was on point and gave great references on what really happens in our culture especially that of "serving our husbands". I giggled and laughed out loud throughout. I also cried during some of the story but some were happy tears too.
In true Hayley fashion we get multiple points of views and know what everyone is facing and feeling. The everyday real life of the story reminds us that we are not alone in the challenges we face in life.
I have enjoyed every book in this series and what a treat it is to get to read Carlos and Victoria’s little novella. It is short but there is a story here. There is also plenty of steamy goodness that most of us love in our romance books. This author is a favorite of mine and never leaves me disappointed when I read one of her books. While I always love the stories she tells, she writes some of the best steamy scenes that I have read. If you haven’t read the rest of the series, I recommend that you do that before moving on to this book because you will have such a better feel for all of the characters as you read this one.
AHHH!!! I'm in love with this book! It may be my favorite of the Baseball series. Victoria and Carlos are high school sweethearts and have two kids. It is about their struggles to maintain their "coupleness" with kids and work. Victoria gets a surprise and doesn't know how to tell Carlos that their life will change. She reacts and does something that causes further problems between the couple. I enjoyed that the book had POVs of all of the characters in the series. It was well-written and real. I'm sad for the series to end, but it was a great conclusion.
Another W for author Hayley Faiman!! Sweet Spot for Victoria is the fourth book in the Men of Baseball series. Victoria and Carlos have loved each other and only each other since they were in Jr. High! Now with a Majoe League Baseball career and two kids Vic is run ragged or is that all it is?? A surprise pregnancy has everyone acting crazy!! Oh but that's not all.... Great love story with real life issues, hot sexy scenes and good friendships! We also get to check in all our other girls and their sexy ball players!! Score another win for this author!!!
From previous books we knew that what Victoria and Carlos have is special, this short story proves it! I love that Hayley can write the hottest scenes EVER, yet keep them so fresh & new ~ throughout this series no 2 have been the same. Its amazing how this group is a strong protective "family" that have real-life issues and extraordinary sexy times....
I liked how this book rounded out the series and gave us a glimpse into the lives of all our favorite couples, from their points of view.
