Lots of good reviews and strategies. Haven't taken the test yet, so can't vouch for the results, but I do feel more prepared.

ETA: Took the test and did better than I expected. Most of the vocab words I encountered weren't ones in this book, but it was still great prep.

From my personal collection.

Okay, for a GRE book, not bad. I've really only read this one and the ETS one a bit. I like this one better. It's almost funny at times. Read this review again after Feb 2011, see if I change it after taking the test. I doubt I will thoroughly finish this book. I do think it is funny I am seeing all sorts of words from the Hit Parade popping up in the Ian McDonald books I am reading.
In the end, I used this book thoroughly for studying and scored as well as I aimed for, but not quite as well as I hoped. I do recommend it for GRE prep, and I would say, separate from the book, that in the end the worst part of the GRE for me was managing my time on the math section

This book is really excellent at doing exactly what it promises to do: help you review for the GRE. Nothing farther-reaching than that. But it is what it is, and as what it is, it's really good.

Judging by the math score I received, this book kind of sucks; although I was wicked tired when I took the test... blah. Either way--book or test--I'm glad it's over.

Best overall GRE book I've used so far. Don't bother with Kaplan, people!
