Wow! This was such an interesting book and really different from anything I have read. I am always looking for something different because it gets super old reading the same thing over and over again. I loved how strong Gabi was and I thought all of the characters were really well developed, strong characters that didn't get on my nerves.
The book kept my attention the whole time and kept me wondering which I absolutely love! I'm ready to read book 2 already!

Gabi is trapped in an unhappy, loveless relationship and when she reaches breaking point, she investigates her finance's strange activities. But it wasn't what he was up to that upends her life and introduces her to a world she never knew existed.
Darion is confused, angry and insecure but when he sees Gabi in his club, he can't stay away. Warning her against him doesn't seem to deter her and as he begins to pull back the layers of his world, Gabi balks but inevitably surprises him and persists anyway.
A brilliant book which leaves you wondering what happened in Darion's past that has left him so wary and so afraid to put himself and his heart out there not to mention to put his faith and trust in Gabi, the one woman whose managed to penetrate the walls he's built.
I can't wait for book 2 and I'm hoping that Darion and Gabi can overcome the obstacles that stand in front of them, including Eva, Darion's ex wife.

DARN, what a heck of a story. Not only do you have great main characters H/h but you have these supporting characters that feed into the story and make it even more amazing. I can't wait to read book 2 to find out if Darion and Gabi can hold on to each other and what the heck is up with Eva the ex wife. Very well written, developed characters and great start.

OK so I had a hard time with rating this book, I rarely find books that I truly feel deserve 5 stars but this one is on that short list! If you like a little suspense with your reads you MUST read this one.

I really enjoyed this book by S.Valentine.
The story focuses around Gabi and Darion. It starts with Gabi in an un-happy relationship and she has her suspicions that her boyfriend is cheating. This leads her to Darion's club where Gabi gets the taste and a longing of the life she would love to have. She also meets Darion where there is an instant attract and he makes her feel something she has'nt felt for years, But will she take the chance and leave her boyfriend for a chance with Darion. However is this what Darion wants, he also has a past and demons that won't seem to leave him and then to add on to that there is lifestyle Darion craves will Gabi be willing to give it ago.
As I said I really enjoyed this book, it had a great original plot and I don't think I have read anything similar before. Gabi and Darion have great chemistry. There are plenty of sexy hot scenes throughout. It's very well written and it has a good pace. It's written from both Darion's and Gabi's POV which I love as you get to know both characters feelings and thoughts. I was quickly sucked into the story and wanted to keep reading. I can't wait to start book 2 and see what happens to Darion and Gabi and where the story goes.
Overall a great sexy, hot romance story.

His Confession is the first book of three in The Black Door Trilogy written by S. Valentine.
In this story is following two people Gabi and Darion.
Gabi is a very smart and young woman that is engaged at first to a man that bores her completely out of her mind. There relationship does not make her happy and it's been over for a long time.
Upon meeting Darion, sexy club owner, Gabi starts to feel a spark in herself. she tries her best to stay away but something about this man she can not resist.
Darion trys to warn her away telling her he is no good for her. But she keeps coming back and he can't help but to reach out to her too. But the confession he has is deep and mind blowing and always the reason he will not let a woman into his heart just into his bed.
This book had frequent hot sex scenes that just kept me wanting more for Darion and Gabi!!
Could she handle his confession make things work or would it break them completly? Could he fall in love with her and let his walls down?
I absolutely loved every word in this book.
People would think this is a BSDM novel but it is not based around that at all.
This book is definitely one that I highly recommend and I can not wait for the next book to come out!!

Great Debut for S. Valentine!
This book was a happy distraction along with a change of pace in my usual reads. I am not new to erotic romance but steer clear of things that push some of my moral boundaries, and this skirted that with the issue of infidelity. Also, the introduction of heavier BDSM that I actually did not find as off-putting as usual. I tend to think BDSM is demeaning on the submissive partner. I still get that impression with Gabi, but that isn’t a bad thing as I realize I have connected with the characters in a way that makes me protective of Gabi and later of Darion. I can’t wait to read all her books!

Once there, she doesn't find the answers she expected but does meet the owner, Darion Milano, and he makes her feel like she's never felt before. Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing introduction to The Black Door Trilogy. I was hooked from chapter one and couldn't put it down. I ended up reading the whole book in one go and not getting to bed until 4am. There's nothing I don't love about this book, and Gabi and Darion have become one of my favourite couples. They were made for each other and things are explosive when they're together. Their journey isn't an easy one and I just know there's more challenges coming their way in Her Confession, which is book 2 in the trilogy.
At no point was I bored reading His Confession. In fact, I didn't want it to end and I'm so glad that there's two more books to read because I need more of Gabi and Darion. Darion’s interests isn't something that I'd consider doing but S Valentine makes it sound really hot and she must have done some serious research to ensure it was so realistic. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough as I was desperate to see if Gabi and Darion would be able to overcome their issues and be together. I loved this book so much that I felt the need to re-read parts of it today. This is the first book I've read by S Valentine and I'm so glad that I accepted the opportunity to read this trilogy. Her work is amazing and I can't wait to read the rest of her books/stories. S Valentine is a talented author and I know you'd agree with me if you also read this book.
I fully recommend downloading this book today and I wish I could award it more than 5 stars!

This book came up on a recommended list for me and I put in on my TBR list. I was in a reading funk and thought I would read something a little different then I had been reading. I do like this book and it is the first book of a trilogy so I can't wait to keep reading to see what happens. This book is a great build up for more. It starts to lay a foundation for their story to continue. I usually do not like to read duets or trilogies because most of the time the story can be told in one book. However I am not finding this story to me the case. I wont know till I finish all 3 but I feel that this story needs all 3 books. The H (Darion) and h (Gabi) are great. So far everything in this book and all surface emotions. You can tell they are leading to heavier emotions for future books. This is one of those stories where they are kinda a hot mess by themselves but are really good for each other. They bring out something in each other that need to be brought out in them. I like that this story isn't just about sex. There is plenty of it and it is HOT but there is more to this story then just the sex. Sex is a huge factor in the book and I intrigued to see how the sex is going to change their relationship and where their relationship will end up. My hold up is Darion's past. I know it is going to come up and bite him in the butt but I am hoping it doesn't ruin his future with Gabi. That has me on pins and needles. The one thing I was kinda confused about it was the title. It states this is His Confession and I know what he confesses but the story is most told from the Gabi's point of view. There are chapters from Darion but most are from Gabi. But there was that moment where the titles make sense. I would recommend this book to someone who is opened minded about sex and willing to commit to a long read since this story is told over 3 books.

His Confession by S. valentine was my first novel by this author. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly the novel pulled me in. Although I was slightly put off with the circumstances of how the book started the author made up for it later. The chemistry between the characters sizzles. Not just the main characters either! The author has a way of consuming you with everybody she introduces. His Confession is a artful web of deceit, heated passion, and healing. A spellbinding story of two broken souls in search of the ultimate happiness.
Gabriella "Gabi" Woods was on a search for answers regarding her fiancee Lawerence. After arriving at the gentlemans club in question Gabbi quickly realises she's finding the answers to more questions then she thought. Taking one look at Bar owner Darion Milano passion and lust collide full force leaving Gabi knowing that her heart is in trouble.
Darion Milano is wild, careless and free. Still struggling with his ex-wifes betrayal his baggage runs deep. Always keeping women at arms length Darion felt his walls crumbling with Gabu. Womanising drunkard
**Spoiler*****I am seriously not OK with this book. Gabi is a 27 year old doormat who is stuck in a rut with a man she considers safe - in reality she is marrying her dad. January 28, 2022This book has the heat of erotica and plot to keep the reader intrigued. The sex is off the charts, but the struggle with trust is real.
There’s nothing sexier than the mutual ecstasy between Gabi and Darion. “She loved the sounds of appreciation that he made, that he enjoyed every bit of it, as did she.”
Darion’s philosophy in life is “[W]e should stick to what gives us pleasure in life. We only get one chance, ya know, why limit ourselves?”
The one thing that bothered me about the story was all the smoking, which is why I reduced my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. It’s not that the smoking made me dislike the character. There are many books where I hate the character (btw a great sign of writing) and have awarded a 5 star. The smoking element, persistence, and timing added an “icky” factor that I simply couldn’t ignore. Otherwise, the book is really great. I look forward to reading the next one.

This is a very steamy book. If you want a ending this is not for you. It has a cliffhanger. Though each book is a great read. This starts when she finds out her boyfriend has been to a discrete club without her. But when she goes she finds herself drawn to the things that go one behind the black door. Along the way she falls for the club owner. He has his demons to go through. One of them is his ex who wants him back. Will be reading the next book to find out more.

This is the first book in a trilogy, so be forewarned a cliffhanger looms ahead. This was a appealing and intriguing start to this story. Gabi and Darion are both complex and complicated characters. As fate draws these two strangers into the same orbit, you can sense the upcoming ripple effect it will cause. There is drama and secrets, sizzling attraction and scorching steam. This book is suspenseful and incredibly intense. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book to see what happens next. This is my truthful and independent review.

Wow. What a ride. Unexplored territories. Trying out new things. Going out of your comfort zone for the thrill of finding something new not knowing whether you'll like it or not. That's the journey we take with Gabi as she takes on a wild relationship full of surprises and wild things with darion. The man sure does has a lot of baggage paired with emotional trauma but somehow together they just complete each other as a equation. Where one lacks or rather needs change other fulfills that need to the T.

Gabi wonders if her fiancé is cheating on her and sets out to seek the truth. Gabi and Darion have explosive good chemistry. She finds clues about a secret club and decides to investigate . She is shocked when she finds out what the club is all about. Are there secrets being kept from her? You need to read this book to figure that out. This does end in a cliffhanger. I cant wait to read book #2.

This book is definitely NOT for the faint of heart!! Geez Louise. I think my Kindle needs a long hot bath after finishing the beginning story of Darion and Gabi...not to mention all the other characters sprinkled in here! Just what does Eva have planned up her tattooed sleeves???!!

This story wants me to read the next books ok in the trilogy .the path Gabi and Darion take is not a straight path to happiness , there are many high and low valleys that the are overcoming . The writer portrays the emotional journey Gabi is going thru and her totally sexy and Darion .this is a new to me author and I totally enjoyed the book !

This is a short review for the trilogy
I’m not sure how I feel about this book. It had an interesting beginning, I loved the fact that the MFC was strong had her own career and money. I think the plot was spot on when peeling back the layers (philosophy) of what drives people to this type of lifestyle and I was satisfied by the ending and extended epilogue.

what a very steamy book that will have you wanting more. this is the first book in the series and their is a cliffhanger. this story will have you wanting to know how the demons begin and how the club will take you

I don't like to leave bad reviews, and I don't like to put down an author's book because I know it has to take a lot to pull a book together. I love books with some adventure.I'm sure this book would be entertaining for some readers it's just not for me.
