Officer Dexter Llewellyn is tired of being considered young and innocent. He has a police badge and martial arts training but also a baby face, soft blond hair, brown doe-eyes and pale skin. He dreams of being owned, of being so overwhelmed by another man he can’t remember his own name. If only his friends would stop trying to protect him! One night he meets a man who electrifies him but who then walks away. Fourteen years older than Dexter, this man has experienced first-hand how enticing Dexter can be, but his own history warns him that the age difference is too great, and he tells Dexter to get some life experience under his belt. Walking away is the hardest thing he will ever do, but he promises to return in two years. “One day when you’re ready I will find you. I wonder, will you still taste as sweet as you do now?” Although Dexter spends the next two years searching for this elusive but compelling man, their reunion occurs when Dexter least expects it… and it puts both of them in a deadly face-off with a ruthless killer. Their love has made them both vulnerable but also stronger than they’ve ever been before. Hunting Hawk, the third book in Kenzi Bond’s North Bay Pursuits series, is a stand-alone novel, but if the characters’ backstories pique your curiosity (and they will!), don’t miss either Finding Steele or Catching Butterflies.
Kenzi Bond lives in Queensland, Australia, which she considers just about the best place to be. When she’s not in the real world (or writing), she is engrossed in a book. A voracious reader, Kenzi reads one book a day on average. She finds inspiration all around her and loves to people-watch.
Kenzi describes herself as hopeless romantic, believing in love at first sight and living happily ever after, but this isn’t the stuff of fantasy—she has loved her husband madly and deeply since she met him in 1987. Her writing is supervised by Simba, an Italian Greyhound who thinks he’s a cat.
Kenzi’s fictional characters are like family, and she ensures that they also find their one true love in the end. They live and love wholeheartedly, much as Kenzi herself does. You can contact Kenzi via her Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kenzibond.author/ or via her Amazon author page at amazon.com/author/kenzibond. She would love to hear from you!
You have to suspend reality a bit for this book, but man do I love this story. Undercover Cop Hawke spies Dexter at a club and thus starts their love affair, even though its years before they actually meet face to face and start their relationship. But once the do, its full speed ahead even through stabbings and kidnappings and hiding out.
Dex has been waiting forever for his man to come back to him, and once Greg shows up it gets really hot real quick. I'm loving the North Bay Pursuits series
This is the third book in North Bay Pursuits Series. What an amazing book the writing was great. The characters were well developed and though out. The plot was great and it was steady throughout the book. I read the book in one sitting. I found the story and characters engrossing. There was humor, mystery, murder, a little girl, police and so much more in this book. Here is a quote from the book, “Beth gave him a very grown-up look. “Keep lying like that and Greg will tan your hide. Won’t ya?” she asked Greg.”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can highly recommend. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review
