When You Wish: Christmas Wish /Valentine Wish / Wedding Wish

Rate this book
Dear Reader,

Long before I wrote my sexy paranormal romances, I wrote traditional Regency romances as Debbie Raleigh. Now I’m thrilled that three of my favorites are available once more. As fresh and filled with adventure as ever, this trilogy features the indomitable Creswell sisters, known throughout London as the Devil’s Daughters—and rejected by the ton because of it. But like their charming rascal of a father, the Devilish Dandy, nothing can crush their spirits—or stand in the way of their hearts’ desires…

THE CHRISTMAS WISH
Sarah Cresswell leads a peaceful life—until she’s asked to help a handsome nobleman unearth a thief. Soon the unlikely duo is navigating London’s seamy side—and an undeniable attraction. But it’s a love that can never be, unless intervention comes from a most unexpected source…

THE VALENTINE WISH
Emma Cresswell has escaped gossip-plagued London to start anew as a lady’s companion . She does not expect to contend with her employer’s reckless nephew. But Cedric, Lord of Hartshore, senses that beneath Emma’s conservative veneer is a heart as passionate as his own—and he’s determined to win it…

THE WEDDING WISH
On a lark, flirtatious Rachel Cresswell plots to seduce the man intended for her sheltered young cousin, Julia. Her success is no surprise, but she’s shocked to fall in love with her unwitting conquest—and strike up a friendship with Julia. Now Rachel is determined to keep her scheming secret from them both. But has she lost her taste for mischief in time to gain what means most to her?

I’ve fallen for these timeless tales all over again, and believe that you will too.

I'm not exactly sure when I fell in love with books. Probably on my mother's knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me. I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and J.R.R. Tolkien just to name a few. I read poetry, essays, biographies, and plays. In fact, I read anything I could get my hands on.

Years later (no, I'm not admitting how many) I'm still an avid reader, and my tastes are still as varied as they were in my youth, which I suppose helps to explain why I enjoy writing regency historicals under the name of Deborah Raleigh, as well as my contemporary paranormals as Alexandra Ivy. For now that is enough to keep me busy, but who knows what the future might hold!

I do have a few other loves in my life besides reading and writing, the most important being my unbelievably patient husband, David, and my two sons, Chance and Alexander. Without their constant support and belief in me, I never could have been able to follow my dreams. They are truly my heroes.

'When You Wish' by Alexandra Ivy is three books in one about the Creswell sisters, known throughout London as the Devil’s Daughters. I have loved Ms. Ivy books but her Historical ones are my favorite! So I was so happy to read these three books.
THE CHRISTMAS WISH is the story of Sarah and Chance.
Chase is looking to get back the family Jewels that his brother took and was stolen from him. So he goes to meet Sarah to see if she can help him.
THE VALENTINE WISH is the story of Emma and Cedric.
Emma has taken off to be a companion to escape her father's history but Cedric knows there is more to her than what she shows.
THE WEDDING WISH is the story of Rachel and 'Mr. Clark'.
Rachel being the youngest of the sister seems different in that she doesn't want to marry and is very independent person. But Mr. Clark wants more from her...will he get it in the end?
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

The first and the third story were really, REALLY good. My favorite, well actually, almost ONLY romance I read is Regency. The clean ones, where they don't look like a stiff breeze will make their clothes fall off on the cover and where they don't do much more than kiss once or twice. I'm not against naughty, but there is a time and a place for that, and it's not in my Regencies, thankyouverymuch.

So these stories took me back to my teenage years, where I would go with my friend to the local independent book store, pick up a bagful of Regencies, and go back to my friend's place, where we would sit and read the day away. Sigh. Youth really IS wasted on the young, no? (Not really, I would KILL to be able to do that again.)

The second story was SO eye-rolling and the male MC's thoughts SO feminine that I couldn't give it more than 1.5 stars. The flanking stories get 4.5 stars each. It averages to 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up, because they were really quite good and nostalgia.

4 solid stars. If you enjoy Regencies, these are classic. Though I would recommend skipping the middle one. And the last one has a BIT more than just a kiss or two, but it wasn't too bad. Very enjoyable read.

My thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books Lyrical Press for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.

I loved these three stories of three sisters, all who reacted differently to having a jewel thief as a father. Solomon Cresswell, also known as the Devilish Dandy, has quite a following among the socialites in London and around Europe. They seem to hate him while at the same time want him at their parties as a sign of status and that their party was good enough for him to actually bother to attend. But after someone finally figured out who he was he was arrested and scheduled to hang. This man some how escaped that fate and has now set upon righting the wrongs to his girls.

Sarah who is the oldest and has taken care of herself and her sisters since their mother died and they moved around so much. She is kind of heart and independent. She has opened a school in the roughest part of London for other children who have it rough. She has resigned herself to a life as a spinster as who respectable could marry someone with such scandal. She comes into company with the "Flawless Earl" Lord Chance when his brother comes to him and the Chance jewels have been stolen. He's been told Sarah is the one to help him retrieve those.

After many weeks and many surprises their relationship develops into one neither of them can ignore but neither know what to do with. That is until her uncle from Paris visits Lord Chance and points him in the right direction.

Emma is the most upset of the sisters and only seeks a calm life with a calm family to work for. She never ever cares to see her father again after the scandal he had them live through. She wants to disappear and never be talked about again. She thinks she has found that in Kent as the companion of a Lady Hartshore. That is until she meets Lord Hartshore under the most stressful of situations. He is nothing like her and thinks things are amusing most of the time.

While learning about the new family and their eccentricities, she is horrified at what she finds at first and then surprised. She is even more surprised when she walks into the parlor to find Mr. Wendell, and most uncomfortable.

Lord Hartshore is determined to find out what she is running from and finally has his first clue. Lady Hartshore, Lord Hartshore's aunt, is a lovely lady, even if she has some weird habits and Emma finds herself slowly easing into the household nicely.

Lord Hartshore takes every moment he can to spend with the lovely Emma and is finding it hard to do his duties as is Emma herself. She just wants him to stop so she doesn't have to share her secret but she is finding it hard to concentrate also.

Again, a little guidance goes a long way.

Finally, Rachel the youngest and most like her father is also independent and flamboyant and refuses to let scandal dictate her life. One particularly interesting night at the opera she finds her control taxed and the same night meets Mr. Clarke. Who is as elusive as she is when it comes to catching the opposite sizes attention for long.

Her mind however doesn't stay on him too long as Lady Broswell decides to try to put her in her place publicly and has finally pushed Rachel's last button. Revenge is on the menu now.

Following the Broswells to Surrey for that purpose, her father accompanies her, as an uncle, to make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble. And Mr. Clarke finds himself following Rachel.

While they get to know each other and Rachel works in her plan she and Mr. Clarke spend more and more time together and in fact find a very large surprise. This could shut Lady Broswell up for good and put her in her place. But as they spend that time together Rachel starts to forget more and more of her revenge plan and starts other plans, as does Mr. Clarke.

Rachel is different than the other two sisters though because she doesn't desire to get married at all, ever. She loves her father very much and while her friend is being forced into a marriage she truly doesn't want and is completely unhappy she is relieved that her father would prefer if she were just happy.

With a talk or two about intentions and drawing Mr. Clarke into his plan to spirit away her friend so she doesn't have to marry the dreadful man, he helps Mr. Clarke decide to hasten the decision he has just made himself.

This is a beautifully written book and each story is different, all containing surprises and humor along with wonderful lessons. I enjoyed it very much!

When You Wish by Alexandra Ivy is a book of 3 stories. They are the stories of three sisters, each affected differently by the fact that their mother died when they were young, and that their father is the notorious jewel thief, 'The Devilish Dandy'. Life for the women has never been settled, but when their father was finally caught, the scandal surrounding that has ruined their chances of ever finding a decent love match. At the time though, that was the least of their worries because they were more upset that their father was facing the noose. Luckily he managed to escape at the last minute, and under one disguise or another he finds a way to be involved in the matchmaking of his daughters before he flees to India where he will be safe.

Sarah is the eldest of the sisters, and has brought up the younger ones. She has resigned herself to the fact that she will remain a spinster because she knows no man will want to marry the daughter of 'The Devilish Dandy'. That is until Lord Chance comes into her life. He requires her services to help find some stolen family jewels. Who better to find them than somebody brought up around theft who knows all the tricks of the trade. During their time together they find themselves hopelessly attracted to each other. But Chance knows that he can't marry a woman with any kind of scandal attached to her. Emma knows she'll never be good enough for him, even forgetting the scandal. Will they realise that they are both ridiculously wrong?

Emma is the middle sister. She has been the most hurt by the scandal her father has brought upon the family. She is not only hurt. She is angry. She wants nothing to do with him, and wants no hand outs in any way from him. She is determined to work for a living. At first she is a governess to a family that treat her like dirt, but she puts up with it because she needs the live in job and wages. She gives up that job and takes on the job as a live in companion. The woman in question she is to be a companion to is quite eccentric, as is her family, but they are all lovable and despite the fact that this isn't the calm life she had endeavoured from her change of occupation, she soon settles in there. It helps a little that the nephew of the woman she is companion too is a real charmer. He makes her feel alive, and cherished. He doesn't think she will be happy with his family as she seems so keen on having a squeaky clean reputation, and she doesn't believe he will want a bar of her when he finds out about her father. I think it might be up to 'The Devilish Dandy' to get the wheels turning for them.

Rachel is the youngest sister, and she is the one most like her father. She covers up any hurt of the scandal by thriving on being an independent woman who likes to shock. She has all the men lusting after her and they all believe her to be an experienced woman. She in fact, isn't. It's all an act, but she is happy enough watching the sops make fools of themselves. At one particular ball she comes across a handsome man who is the first one ever not to fall over himself to get her attention. He is attracted to her, but he's not going to be one of the many men to beg for her favours. They end up at a house party together, a two week event and during that time they spend a lot of time together. Rachel wants him, but knows who she is will shock him, and she also doesn't want to give up her independence. Mr Clarke, our hero, sees right through her act, can see what a perfect woman she is, but has no idea if he can break through her barriers.

What I loved about these stories is how all the girls have been so affected by who their father is, but in very different ways. I love too that he makes sure he does his best, in disguise to everyone but his daughters, to make sure that they find love and are settled before he can flee the country to safety. Is his best good enough, and what of himself, can he perhaps find a love match for himself. I mean, who wants him to be lonely when he's in India??

Three sweet stories of overcoming your predicament and finding love. Deep swoon!

I snagged this book from NetGalley for a bit of light reading of the historical romance kind. I actually assumed that these stories would be novellas, but each was actually longer than I predicted. The stories were intriguing and engaging. Despite being clean reads, which I don't often find in the historical romance genre, I enjoyed the stories being told.

We'll start with the first book, The Christmas Wish, in which our fiercely independent Sarah is commissioned by Lord Chance to assist him in locating his family's stolen jewels. Since Sarah's father is a renowned jewel thief, known as the Devilish Dandy, Chance believes that Sarah may have an expertise in these matters. A mystery unfolds as they follow clues to find the jewels, discovering a love for each other along the way.

The Valentine Wish is next. Forced to seek new employment, Emma journeys to the countryside and happens upon a rascally devil who dares to steal a kiss from her. The man turns out to be the nephew of Emma's new employer and he isn't shy about his pursuit of her, either. Emma must face her past and overcome her fears if she stands a chance at finding love with her new admirer.

Lastly, we have The Wedding Wish. This story stars Rachel, our damsel with an eye for revenge on a fellow lady who has ridiculed her in the past. But during her plotting, Rachel crosses a man who hopes to convince her to look past her wounded pride and seek happiness instead, with him. Convincing her won't be easy, however, as her fierce independence is a tough obstacle for him to overcome.

All three stories included the a scheming father-in-disguise, the Devilish Dandy, as he attempts to help his daughters find their happily ever afters. His character is entertaining and unpredictable and quite the addition to each tale.

The writing is quick paced and the dialogue for each story is witty and humorous. I was able to connect with each and every character, even the ones I despised. My only regret is that I was hoping to see Lord Chance's younger brother, Ben, find his own match. I half-hoped it would be with Rachel, but alas, she was destined for another.

In closing...
Three lovely stories of sisters battling a scorned reputation and finding their true loves. I would certainly consider reading more of this author's work. Four suns!

The boxed series of the Cresswall Sisters and their way to Happily Ever After.

First book - The Christmas Wish
When Lord Chance´s mothers diamonds go missing, he employs the help of Sarah.
He never expected the task to bring them close, though.
Sarah´s used to being overlooked, with her father ruining the family reputation, but working close together with Chance shows her just what she´s missing. Too bad nothing could come from it.
Or could it?

The second part - The Valentine Wish
Emma is tortured by the reputation of her father, the Devilish Dandy, a notorious and sought after jewel thief, and to get away from all the gossip she takes a position as a lady´s companion, far away from London.
She never expected the household to be a contender regarding unconventionality, or how the Lord would effect her.
Cedric never knew how infatuation could wreak havoc on his quiet life, but meeting Emma has him thinking it could be worth it. Can he persuade Emma that it´s what they both need?

The third and final part - The Wedding Wish
The conclusion to the Cresswell Sisters stories.
Rachel is the sister who embraces the scandal of being daughter to the Devilish Duke, and loves the attention she gets. She´s not prepared for the reaction she has to meeting Anthony though, or how he´s ready to help her in her quest for revenge.
While away on a house party, they both uncover a secret, and they take on the mission with some help from her father. Could this end well?

Historical romance, fluff and feelings in a great combo.

All three stories had me laughing out loud at the bantering between the H/H and kept me reading until the very end. Definitely a must pick up for any historical romance lover!

Review Copy from the Publisher

When you wish is an anthology gathering three historical novellas by Alexandra Ivy. As with Miss Frazer’s Adventure (review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... ), it’s a reissue under her real name. Little comment: the synopsis for The Wedding Wish doesn’t match the story of the novella at all.

The anthology tells the story of the three Creswell sisters, Sarah, Emma, and Rachel, whose father is notorious for having been a big thief in the Society. He’s nicknamed The Devilish Dandy.
When the first story begins, the father recently escaped from prison, avoiding hanging. No one knows where he is, his daughters even less.

Each daughter has her own personality, and each lived differently the tragic events. Sarah, who fights her own battle for a better world, wasn’t as disturbed as her younger sister Emma, who suffered a painful shame when she was at a ball. Since then, she’s hiding from the world. As for the youngest, Rachel, she’s very frivolous.
The diverse heroes are gentlemen, real ones. They are respectful, kind, faithful. For all that they aren’t wimps. They are as disturbed by their new feelings toward the heroines as the latters.

In The Christmas Wish, Lord Chance knows who the heroine is. He asks for her help after the theft of a family jewel. While they’re investigating, each is conscious of the obstacles on their way: Oliver is an earl, and Sarah, even if she’s a respectable young woman, doesn’t have access to Society. I really liked this story, even if I wanted to shake the hero a little.
In The Valentine Wish, Emma flees to the country to escape rumors. She only wants a quiet job to tend to her wounds. She thinks she’ll find this by becoming companion to the aunt of our hero, Lord Hartshore. The latter, who’s also an earl, doesn’t know anything about the young woman’s past. He understands quickly he’s attracted by her, never stops flirting with her, but without thinking his feelings are more profound that it seems. I appreciated the heroine of this novella less, I found her too much obtuse.
In The Wedding Wish, the author presents Rachel to us. It’s the sister who seemed the less likeable to me because too frivolous, but it was the story I preferred. She’s also the only one to frequent High Society, because she doesn’t care about what other people think, and because she wants to keep her rank as “Incomparable”. I loved the hero. He’s very conscious of the heroine’s weaknesses, but not only is he determined to pursue her, but also he never asks her to change. Simply, when he doesn’t agree, he says it. In the last volume, the author puts us in front of a familial suspense.
In the three volumes, an important recurrent character shows himself: the three sisters’ father. We also have a surprise about him in the last volume.

To conclude, a very lovely anthology of historical romances you could appreciate. Beware, seeing the length of the texts, there are no love scenes, only some lovely sensual scenes.

This was really kind of a cute story with Sarah being the daughter of the infamous Devilish Dandy - a rascally jewel thief and being approached by the uptight Flawless Earl, to help him locate his mother’s highly prized diamond tiara and necklace. Needless to say, the story was delivered with a fast pace and several secondary characters who I hope return to enliven this sweet romance.

THE VALENTINE WISH
Emma Cresswell would do anything to escape gossip-plagued London because of her relationship to the Devilish Dandy so she leaves to start anew as a lady’s companion. Emma Certainly didn't expect to become attracted to her employer’s reckless and highly attractive nephew and did her best to stay out of his way. However, Cedric, Lord of Hartshore, senses that beneath Emma’s conservative veneer is a heart as passionate as his own—and he’s determined to win it! Again, we have another of the three daughters of the Devilish Dandy whom has come to realize that he owes his daughters a future and reliable life which in his younger years had not been something he’d thought about. Emma the daughter who is most embarrassed by him is aghast that he drops into her quiet life and starts making a nuisance of himself and may just upset her newly composed life story.

THE WEDDING WISH
The most outrageous of all the Devilish Dandie’s daughter is Rachel Cresswell. Rachel has come to Surrey primarily to make her presence known and to aggravate Lady Broswell who has snubbed and insulted Rachael for far too long! Rachel wants revenge of a sort, but Anthony Clarke a handsome recluse inventor seems to thwart and talk her out of her most outrageous plots. In the meantime, Rachel discovers that Lady Broswell has another daughter, one she keeps hidden in an old dowager house on her estate; the child Julia, just happens to be Rachel’s cousin - for Lady Broswell is truly her Aunt.

Bottom line: All three of the these novella’s have one thing in common, all daughters of the Devilish Dandy and though wanted by the law, he disguises himself in every story to help out each one of his daughters. The stories are all delightful and it’s wonderful to see each find the man of their dreams. A really great ‘feel-good’ book of delightful stories.

This trilogy features the three indomitable Creswell sisters, known throughout London as the Devil’s Daughters—and rejected by the ton because of it. But like their charming rascal of a father, the Devilish Dandy, nothing can crush their spirits—or stand in the way of their hearts’ desires…

THE CHRISTMAS WISH
Sarah Cresswell leads a peaceful life—until she’s asked to help a handsome nobleman Oliver Spense, Earl of Chance aka the Flawless Earl unearth a thief. Soon the unlikely duo is navigating London’s seamy side—and an undeniable attraction. The Chance diamonds have been stolen & reluctantly Oliver seeks the help of Sarah. Neither of them would have believed the attraction that sparked on meeting & grew. The story was well paced , a gorgeous hero & strong heroine, what more could you want. The thing that puzzled me was Oliver‘s surname is Spense & his brothers Coltran?

THE VALENTINE WISH
Emma Cresswell has escaped gossip-plagued London to work as a governess but she is treated like a drudge so takes a job as a lady’s companion to the eccentric Lady Hartshore. She does not expect to contend with her employer’s reckless nephew. But Cedric, Lord of Hartshore, senses that beneath Emma’s conservative veneer is a heart as passionate as his own. This is a lovely story, Lady Hartshore & Bart are wonderful. Emma is delightful & again Cedric is a gorgeous hero.

THE WEDDING WISH
On a lark, flirtatious Rachel Cresswell plots to have revenge on Lady Broswell & goes to a house party of her friend Violet. Violet’s father’s property borders Lady Broswell’s . Also there is Anthony Clarke, an extremely rich man who enjoys inventions & shuns society & so is seen as cold & heartless. The pair discover Julia a handicapped young girl hidden away in the Broswell’s dower house. Again a very sweet, endearing story. Rachel is anything but flighty & Anthony so understanding. It’s touching the way the pair bring light into Julia’s life & find their HEA too.
Three well paced clean stories that are charming & well written. The three Cresswell sisters haven’t had an easy life so their journeys to their HEAs weren’t always smooth but each found a strong, likeable gorgeous man

I received this book from net galley for an honest review. Thank you!!

I enjoyed reading this novel. I thought it clever to write a novel about three sisters, each a separate story, yet it all comes together in the end. They are the daughters of the Devilish Dandy, a thief who was taken to prison but has escaped. The three sisters are unwlecomed in society, but each pursues their own course due to their father's life style. Their father returns to them to right the wrongs he committed to each of them. He wants each of his daughters to be happily settled before he ventures to his villa in Italy. He begins with Sarah, the eldest, who has raised her sisters after the death of their mother. When Oliver seeks her help to find a thief for his family's missing diamonds, she agrees. They both fall in love while solving this mystery even though their positions in society frown upon it. Emma, the middle daughter, has fears she needs to overcome due to a past where she was completely humiliated. She meets Cedric, who tries to show her there is more to life than being a paid companion. The youngest, Rachel, uses her charms to attract men but has no interest in any of them until she meets Anthony, who challenges her like no man has. Rachel learns more about her mother's family and seeks justice. Anthony gets drawn into Rachel's plots and learns there is much about Rachel that is hidden behind her seductive charms. Their father helps them find true love with the men most suited for each of them. Very good writing and a good flow to bring 3 novellas into one great story!!

There are three stories in this book. The Christmas Wish, The Valentine Wish, and The Wedding Wish.

The first one is The Christmas Wish. This is Chance and Sarah's story. I want to start off with a quote I found funny and couldn't get out of my mind. "Certainly not. I would as soon believe cows could waltz." Love it! There is also a great mystery to solve. A race to find the missing jewels by Christmas. A great cast of characters including the Devilish Dandy.

The second book in this collection is The Valentine Wish. It starts as an unusual way for the main characters, Emma and Cedric, to meet. There's another cow reference quote I must share with you. "Sarah warned me that I should find it easier to teach cows to fly as to convince you to accept my offer." It just stuck out to me after the first cow reference in the first book. he-he There is a lot going on in this book that is a bit on the wacky side but who wouldn't want to read a book that has a companion- who 's lady speaks to ghosts and a cook who can read the future and a loony man who thinks he's a pirate? Very entertaining.

The wedding Wish is Rachel's story and is the outgoing sister who enjoys the swirl of life. And the man she falls for has a flaw looked down upon by some and is an inventor. I like how he is out of the ordinary. This was a well told love story with some craziness. A great ending for all the books. I didn't see a cow reference in this one tho.

A word of warning to long-time readers of historical romances - these stories were originally published in the early 2000's under the author's pen name Debbie Raleigh. So if they seem overly familiar to you that may be why.

That being said - I LOVED these stories! One of the things I noticed is that while the sisters themselves (as well as the circumstances leading up to the romances) couldn't be more different, the author managed to retain the charm and overall sweetness of the overall story. I also very much enjoyed getting to know their father - although I would have liked to have learned more about his escapades before he was captured.

Something else worth noting (and something that stood out to me) is that these stories are all CLEAN romances (meaning there is nothing shared between the Hero and Heroine aside from a handful of passionate kisses and embraces. A rare treat from today's typical "jump into bed" stories.

Overall, I highly recommend this collection to those who enjoy sweet and well written romance novels. I will read more from this author!

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

Three completely different sisters must learn to navigate the path that their criminal father has put before them. He escaped prison and is on the run, leaving them with their reputations in tatters and very little chance for a good match. Each sister has her own story and her own way of dealing with the looks and rumors that surround them as they go through meeting the man of their dreams.

I love regency fiction, so I knew I'd enjoy this new-to-me author. I was right. Her stories were fun, adventuresome, and full of romance. Each sister reacts differently to her situation, but the author is able to create a harmony between the stories. The characters were well developed and the drama in the plot fit well with the romance. I look forward to reading more by this author.

This is comprised of 3 stories, the Cresswell sisters. They each respond differently to being the daughter of the renowned jewel thief, the Devilish Dandy, and while I found each of their stories cute and unique is parts, ultimately I felt like the leading men in all 3 stories were basically the same.

If you are looking for 3 very cute, PG rated romances, look no further than this novel. Maybe if I had read each of these stories separately, instead of back to back I would have appreciated them more. My favorite sister was Rachel Cresswell in The Wedding Wish. I like Rachel's attitude and demeanor towards people, as well as her playful interactions with Mr. Clarke. However, my favorite leading man would have been Lord Hartshore from The Valentine Wish.

Buy Buy book... it is a great read.
No matter what name this author chooses to write under, I am delighted to read her work. In this particular book of the three sisters handling a situation in three different ways, It touches the heart and just wants you to keep reading. I enjoyed the plot line. I loved the way the characters were fleshed out. The writing is smooth and the transition to each sister is fantastic. I am in no way disappointed in this one.

I can only say it is a good read for a warm heart. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I was given this book in return for an honest review. Anna Swedenmom

Loved this anthology. My favorite is the third one. Although the plot doesn't match with the story.

The Christmas Wish: Solomon Cresswell was trying to right the wrong he did to his girls. He was a jewel thief. Sarah is the oldest and taken care of her two younger sisters since her mother had died. Sarah had opened a school for children who had it rough . Sarah meets Lord Oliver Chance when his brother had come to him and told him the Chance Jewels had been stolen, then Oliver went to Sarah as he had been told Sarah is the one to help retrieve the jewels. Sarah and Oliver are attracted to each other and neither can ignore it and they don’t know what to do.
The Valentine Wish: Emma is the middle sister and only seeks a calm life with a calm family to work for. She never wants to see her father - Solomon- again. Emma thinks she has a chance being the companion of Lady Hartshorne who has a nephew Lord Hartshorne then Emma meets Lord Hartshorne who is determined to find out what Emma is running from. Lord Hartshorne is spending a lot of time with Emma and is finding it hard to fulfill his duty as was Emma.
The Wedding Wish: Rachel is the youngest sister and also the most like her father. Rachel meets Mr. Anthony Clarke at the Opera. Then Lady Boswell decides to put Rachel in her place in public. All Rachel wants is revenge and follows the Boswells to Surrey. Anthony follows Rachel. Solomon goes with Rachel as her uncle. Anthony and Rachel spend more and more time together. Rachel is different from her two older sisters and loves her father deeply and doesn’t want to marry. But she does want Anthony. Then Anthony and Rachel find a handicapped young girl hidden in the Boswell's Dover house.
I enjoyed these three stories of the sisters who all took the scandal put on them and did the best they could to find happiness in their world. All three women felt they would never have love but in each case the sisters find someone for themselves. All the stories were interesting and very enjoyable and I had no problem with my attention fading in anyway. I liked all the characters and the ins and outs of all three stories and I recommend.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was three books in one. One thing that was confusing for me was the title. There was not really any wishing going on so confused as to the title. The story was well done. I enjoyed the tale a great deal. I was going to be disappointed if we didn't get to see how all three relationships worked out but the author did a great job.
