One Day
Getting dumped four times over the course of the past ten years on Valentine’s Day was definitely not in Hazel Benny’s life plan. So when her boyfriend of three months dumps her a week before Valentine’s Day to save her the humiliation of a fifth VD dumping, Hazel decides to take a break from life altogether by borrowing her brother’s camper van and taking off to the highlands.
Life in the camper van is going great—fresh air, beautiful scenery, a deeper bond with her homeland, no work, and best of all no men!
Until Valentine’s Day.

OMG! It was so awesome. Free and short but so so good, and funny and sweet and hot. Now, I only wish there was more Liam and Hazel. If you're a fan of Samantha's writing, you should really read this one. Still can't believe how good such a short story can be:))))

Thankfully I saw Alba's review for this story, otherwise I'd never known this sweet and lovely story was out there.

4.5 stars!!!
I love when Samantha Young gives us Vday stories, she never fails to disappoint! This short story, available for free on Wattpad (link at the bottom of my review) was just so cute and wonderful. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading it.
Hazel hates Valentine's Day. After being dumped too many times on Vday she goes on a small camping trip to get away from it all. She meets Liam Brody in a hilarious but mortifying situation and through circumstance they spend the day together.
Honestly, this was filled with a whole lotta tropes that normally aren't for me, but leave it to Ms. Young to make me forget all of those. If you're in the mood for something short and fun this is the book for you!

Funny, sexy and sweet!
Hazel is off camping through the Scottish Highlands trying to forget all her bad Valentine's Day breakups and figure her out her life. She meets Liam, quite literally, with her pants down! Liam is also contemplating his life choices while enjoying some solitude, but meeting Hazel changes everything.
This novella was cute, fun, and hot! Hazel and Liam's instant connection was believable and intense, enough to yearn for a long-term HEA. Not a surprise coming from the talented Samantha Young.

It is Valentine’s early, completely dark, wet morning somewhere in Scotland, far away from civilization, next to Loch Alvie. And Hazel needs desperately to pee. Hazel is on a camping trip trying to forget that it is Valentine’s Day and that her love life is going to hell.
Liam Brody an American, who is also on a camping trip, scares her to death and this is the opportunity for the two of them to meet.
Okay…trust me, this story is funny! It is romantic of course, but I think the humorous dialogues and the crazy situations are the winners in this story.
When they met:
“You promise you’re not a homicidal maniac?”
“I promise. Although for future reference a homicidal maniac would probably promise that too before he killed you.”
I stared at him in horror.
“But I’m not one.”
And later on:
“You know, you could stop talking about the fact that you’ve seen me in such a vulnerable position,”
“We all need to pee,” Liam said matter-of-factly. “It’s not like I caught you taking a sh_”
“Tra la lah!”
“I can’t believe you actually tra la lah-ed. No one tra la lahs.”
“I do…when I ‘m trying to stop rude Americans discussing my bodily functions.”
“We all need to sh_”
“Tra la la la lah, la la la lah!”
So, much much later with her best friend:
“I met a man on Valentine’s day. I fell in love.”
“In a day?”
“In a day.”

3.5 -short and enjoyable- Stars
Started off slow but after these guys got together, it was all systems go! The ending was a little too rushed for my liking, but this is a short and FREE novella, so I have absolutely no right to complain.
This is a standalone novella, told only in the h's first person POV and ends with the conflict being resolved. Yep, not even a glimpse into their HEA or even HFN *sad face*. But it was FREE on Wattpad and I can't deny how much I enjoyed this super short nugget of goodness, so I'm gonna just take what I can get and be happy bout it *happy face again*.

The way that Hazel and Liam meet is hilarious (I was thinking Texas Chainsaw Massacr, too many horror movies :)) the rest of it I just LOVED IT so much, love Hazel and Liam.

Now that’s how you write a romantic short story! So good! Liam and Hazel’s instant connection and kismet was fun, sweet, and sexy and felt genuine and believable!

Hazel hates Valentine's Day. Over the last ten years, Hazel has been dumped four times on this holiday. She decides to go camping and get away from everyone after her latest boyfriend dumped her last week, just so she wouldn't have the humiliation of being dumped for a fifth time on V-day.
This Valentine's Day starts with an embarrassing meeting with a cute guy who is camping near the lake. In no time at all both Hazel and Liam are suffering from lust at first sight.
This was a cute and sometimes humorous novella. It's well worth taking a little time to read. My rating: 4 Stars.

Completely loved it. It's short read that leaves you aching for more. Ms. Young knows how to mess with your emotions. I'm not a fan of instant love but I have to say this one was a complete surprise. I just have to say, what a perfect f***kin' Valentine's Day story. Read it. I highly recommend it. And to top it off it free at watt pad.

As a huge fan of Samantha Young I jumped at the opportunity to read this novella. In just a few pages, the author nailed the personalities of the two MC's & had me fully engrossed. I loved them both, loved the premise in the Highlands & the sexual tension from this couple, well, let's just say I knew they couldn't hold out for too long. A delightful story with many humorous moments, it's perfect if you're looking for a quick book to read. Free on Kindle Unlimited.

Me encanto. One Day es una novela breve repleta de diversion y con una pareja principal que me dejo con ganas de mas.
Sinceramente, pocas novellas de esta longitud me lo han hecho pasar tan bien como esta, definitivamente debio de haber sido mucho mas larga.
Samantha Young brilla en todo su esplendor en esta lectura.

Okay, ich weiß das ich knapp zwei Wochen zu spät dafür dran bin, aber egal, Bücher (und wenn es Novellen sind) von Samantha Young gehen immer!
Und das hat sie mir mit DIESER EINE TAG wieder bewiesen.
Ich bin ja sonst kein Fan von Novellen, aber diese war so süß und zugleich heiß. Typisch Sam einfach. Nur schade, dass ich mir jetzt mehr von Hazel und Liam wünsche...
