I used to deliver pizza. I was pretty good at it, too. I mean, it's not that hard, but if I'm not going to brag, who is, right? Anyways, so I'm delivering pizza while I'm in college, and my boss has been in the pizza industry like six years. He's supposed to graduate from college this year, and I ask him, what are you going to do after college? We're all supposed to go out and conquer the world right after college, so this guy has to have some kind of plan.

He looked at me like I was delusional.

"I'm a writer, man."

Those four words changed my life more so than anything else ever spoken to me.
I'd always written, since I was twelve participating in online-wrestling forums in which you acted out your character. I wrote because it came naturally. Never once, in the entirety of my nineteen years did I think that writing could be a career though, until a Pizza Sage said those four words to me.

So what did I do? I went home and wrote a short story and immediately understood that I was the greatest writer to ever touch a keyboard. I brought it to the Pizza Sage and he told me what anyone could have told me--it was horrible. I might be dumb, probably am, but I'm also tenacious.

I spent the next seven years writing almost every day. My first novel grew to the length of 40,000 words, then I threw it away. My second novel grew to 140,000 words. I didn't throw it away, but it was rejected about 50 times by agents. My next novel ended up at around 55,000 words, which I showed to a few friends and shelved. Then I wrote Dead Religion, which is the only reason I have an author page at Amazon.

I have had four short stories published, paid and unpaid. 'Effects May Vary' won an award that was voted on by readers, which was pretty cool.

I'm currently getting my Masters in Business at the University of Georgia's Terry School of Business. I'm doing this in order to not deliver pizzas but still keep the lights on. I have a girlfriend who will soon be my fiancé, and after ten years, I imagine she's ready for that title.

I want to own a yacht.

Like Potato Chips, One reading is never enough.

I absolutely LOVE this series, I didn't think it would be possible to read or like anything as much as I loved reading David's Singularity Series, but Nemesis? Nemesis just blows everything else out of the water. I eagerly await each new book with the anticipation, reminiscent of a child waiting for Christmas to find out what new treat Santa brought them.

At times while reading, I can see the words transformed so vividly, the details so defined, I feel like an NPC [Non Playing Character] in a video game, a spectator at a sporting event, and even an extra in a movie. I wish any network out there would bring this series alive, heaven knows they have with less to work with [Halloween 3, brainwashing masks and no Michael Myers? Like, come on, Really?!].

Reading Nemesis has become a sort of addiction that I can't get enough of, I barely finish reading one book and find an ever increasing desire to read it again while waiting for the next. When buying by the set, you are saved having to wait and can just keep reading. One of the best reasons for buying a boxed set.

You are completely captivated while reading, turning page after page, unwilling to stop, before you know it, you're at the end of one book and reading the next, only to find yourself reading the entire series all over again. If this had been paperback instead of Kindle, I'm sure, just like two of my favorite series/book (Ender's Game By Orson Scott Card and Lightning By Dean Koontz), I would've re-read Nemesis until the bindings crack, the pages fray, and a replacement copy was needed. It's just that good. I encourage reading this series in order. Highly Recommended.

BOOK ONE - From the start you are given a great introduction to the storyline. A small group of friends at a party near the woods, drinking, safe from parental interference or discovery. From the sky they could see it, heat emanating from the fiery meteorite could be felt as it hurtled it's way towards earth, towards them. Paralyzed with fear they could do nothing but watch, knowing it's collision course could never be outrun, nor could the resulting forest fire when it finally crashed. There was no escape. Then it happened, that is... nothing happened. No blast from the meteorite hitting the earth, no sounds of trees breaking when it crashed through them, no sounds of the ground being ripped apart, and no resulting fire being sparked and growing out of control. But did it? The word "Land" begins to trickle in their minds. At the same time, miles away, a secret government employee begins to act, it's his job, he's good at it, he's done it before. As usual his orders are simple, find it, assess it, then handle it, swiftly and with brutal efficiency.

BOOK TWO - Picking up where Book One left off, Morena is here and plans to stay, our Government understands the threat (even if no one else does) their paid Mercenaries stay off the books and eradicate whatever is placed in front of them. No witnesses allowed. Four teenagers and their families remain caught between these two forces, just hoping to make it out alive. Morena moves closer to the birth of her species, the mercenaries clamp down on the town, the only question that matters is, will anyone survive?

BOOK THREE - Picking up where Book Two left off, Morena is more powerful than ever imagined, below ground the rest of her kind comes back to life. Our government's first line of defense has failed, our main characters remain caught in the middle unable to escape or do anything to stop what Morena has planned. The time is coming, and when it does, the Earth will never be the same.

No noticeable typos or errors in sentence structure, characters are well defined, the storyline is well developed, the flow of events reads smoothly without those annoying issues popping up to disrupt your enjoyment of this series. The cliffhanger type endings between one book and the next is forgivable knowing more is on the way, buying this series as a set allows you to continue reading (without that annoying pause from one book to the next), until of course you reach the end of Book Three. Thankfully, Book Four is already available.

NOTE: I originally purchased each book in this series individually and not as a set. You can find a more detailed review for each book on their individual Amazon Kindle Page.
