Jamie Pope first fell in love with romance at thirteen when her mother placed a novel in her hands. She became addicted to love stories and has been writing them ever since. When she's not writing her next book, you can find her shopping for shoes or binge-watching shows.
First book by this author and loved it. A very sweet holiday romance of love, uncertainty, sorrow and hope. Love this author's style of writing and looking forward to reading more.
Superb writing and I loved the first in the series with Carlos and Gina (Virginia) but I just wasn't feeling this one. I was super excited when I saw it was second in the series then found there wasn't much going on between the couple. And I probably think it was because there wasn't much of conflict or drama - though lots and lots of accidents to do with his job. If you want a sweet romance then this will do. And check out the five star reviews.
Also I thought the ending was bit off. I just don't think Asa the hero would have done that - love or no love. All I can say is that he makes a huge professional sacrifice when let's face it, his job was way more about giving back to society than hers. So didn't get it.
I guess I was a bit disappointed because I expected more of a story like the first.
Hallie Roberts answers to her problems is to run but it's the holidays. I enjoyed the travel between the cold and snow in New York to the warm sandy beaches of Hideaway . A well written story with a mixture of sadness, humor, uncertainty, unrequited love, and strong memories.
This has to be one of the sweetest romances I’ve read in a long time. Hallie and Asa were just so like-able that I wanted them to get together from the very beginning and make sure they had no problems. But that’s just not how a romance novel rolls. Of course there were issues between them which I knew were going to be resolved, but how it would come about had me turning the pages.
The settings were gorgeous, from the winter wonderland they visited in New York to the island paradise of Hallie’s home.
A wonderful romance that had me sighing at the end. I’m looking forward to reading more from Jamie Pope.
I loved how Hallie and Asa met. He was an "Angel" that was able to show Hallie what true love is all about, regardless if it was in a very short time period! I really love how he became "her knight in shinning armor" after her freak accident in New York! He not only nursed her concussion back to health, he also healed her heart from a previous relationship that went wrong. Hallie had to learn that all men did not operate like her ex- Brent!! Awesome love story, whoever said chivalry was dead needs to read this story about Asa and Hallie!
Loved this book so much! Asa & Hallie was meant to be. From the moment they met. Although there were uncertainty in their friendship & relationship. They made it work and that what counts! I enjoyed reading this book! I can’t wait to read Derek book over, because it’s been so long since I read it before!!
I had to take away a star for the rating of this book, because of a mistake the author made. Derek’s mom, who’s name is “Anita” in the first book (Mine at Midnight) is introduced in this book as “Helena.” This was a misstep by the author. Overall, the book is nice and I like Asa and Hallie, but this one didn’t completely pull me in like the previous one did.
this was a very cute christmas romance. the two MCs were engaging and their chemistry was believable and i rooted for them. pope has created a vivid, realistic world of characters and it makes the story easy to sink into.
Hallie moved to NYC from her Florida island after her fiancee broke their engagement days before their wedding; she hates city winters until she meets a hot paramedic after concussing herself on some black ice. This was almost perfect. You start off in New York, with tons of snowy fun, including at an amazing sounding resort, and then you end up on a island with sea and sand and rain for Christmas. I mean, right there, it's like it was meant for me. Hallie was a great character, and Asa was almost there. He was almost perfectly solicitous and kind and awesome, and then he'd have these almost out of character moments that backtracked on ways he previously acted. Also didn't like the over-involved moms or narrative that life doesn't start until you have kids. But the romance was sound and super sweet.
I could write a thousand words to describe how much I loved this book! The romance was so perfect that I was moved to tears! Literally!! Everything was written in such vivid detail that felt like I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. It was the best of two of my favorite things; romance and Christmas. Thank you Jamie Pope for such an inspiring and beautifully romantic story!!
I found KISSED BY CHRISTMAS to be a fun, uplifting read! Jamie Pope presents readers with real life characters with real life problems which are solved in believable ways! I enjoyed reading this book!
