Bailey is taking her yearly flight to her father's house in Florida for the summer. When her plane gets delayed, she's forced to spend a few hours at an airport in the middle of nowhere. As a teenager traveling alone, she knows it's best not to talk to strangers-but what if he's in uniform and really cute?
Lucas is traveling alone to Florida to report for duty. His decision to join the Marines might have been impulsive, but he's learning really fast his career with the Marines will involve a lot of "hurry up and wait." He's not interested in making small talk with any other tired travelers-but what if he just can't help but learn her name?
When Bailey agrees to give Lucas her email address after a few hours together in an airport in the middle of nowhere, they'll learn that a lot can happen between "Dear Baily" and "Love, Lucas."

I really liked the concept ..it reminded me of olden days where they used to write letters to communicate and it was the real thing you know...they took time and thought to write the letter and then had to wait impatiently for days for the return letter...other than that there was not really much in the story...felt really bad for them for the short durations they used to have to meet....there could be improvement in the plot though....sweet couple overall...if you have the time and opportunity try it!
I'm screaming, I'm crying, I'm doing everything in between. This book has been quite possibly the best book I've ever read. I just read "the senior trip" and LOVED IT. and tbh, I didn't realize this one was by the same author until chapter 80 😂 it just proves that her writing style is so amazing and diverse to each character and their personality (which I LOVE) It just makes each story all the more special. Sarah I love you, I love your books, I love Lucas, I love Bailey, I love Iris, Pines, Liam, Lucas' pretty lesbian friend, bailey's dad, bailey's sisters, EVERYONE. Each character was amazing and I can't wait to read another one of your books. Thank you so much ❤️
No words can express what I feel at the moment so I'm just going to say it is far beyond love. So so far beyond. *Goes to cry in a corner for nine years*
Dear Bailey is the most romantic book I’ve read so far. The chemistry formed between Lucas and Bailey in this story was just amazing and kept me wanting for more. Who would have known spending time with a complete stranger at the airport could lead to forever. My heart ached at the time when the emails from Lucas stopped coming and was wishing that he did return home.
It’s a good read for those looking for romance books to read.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It pulled me in from the get-go and just made me fall in love!!! (Literally, I am in love with Lucas--where can I get one???) The story is just so romantic and it made me feel so incredibly happy it's not even funny. Seriously, if you are a fan of insanely romantic stories, especially with relationships that seem doomed from the get-go, READ THIS!!!!! I am not kidding. You will not regret it.
I really liked this book, it was a sweet book that I completed over a couple sittings. I would highly recommend this read in a comfy chair with pleanty of sunlight and a nice hot mug of coffee!! Mmmmm...enjoy
THIS IS MY SECOND TIME READING IT AND I WASNT ANY LESS EMOTIONAL THAN THE FIRST TIME!! Lucas and Bailey will always be one of my all time favs!!!! edit: i’ve read this book 3 times already and i still bawl like a baby everytime!!
This is a very short, cute and fluffy book. The main focus of the story is the romance which does leave little room for other things to develop. I finished the book knowing how much Bailey and Lucas loved each other but not much else. It's a very addicting story and I finished it in an afternoon. However aside from not knowing much about the characters I had a few other problems. The main characters seemed to fall in love a little to quickly based off a couple of emails and a few short meetings. Also there were loads of POV swaps. In one scene the POV changed at least four times between the two. Yes, it's nice to get into both their heads but you can't change POVs in the middle of a scene. Despite it's problems I liked this book and would recommend it to a lover of romance.
