As a young werewolf Scarlett never felt like she fit in. She couldn't shift like a werewolf, not even on the full moon. She blames her weakness on the fact she is a half breed, part werewolf and part human. She moves with her mother and her mother's new mate, Dominic, to the town of Luna. Scarlett fears she won't fit in and that her secret will be discovered. She befriends Eli, the pack leaders son, and Ricky his best friend. Scarlett soon finds herself falling for Ricky. She begins to discover who she is, and more importantly what she really is as she tries to find her place in the new pack.
I have been writing since I was eight. I started out with poetry. Eventually, I moved on to short fantasy stories, then eventually books. I have always loved books, whether I was reading them or writing them. Books were always a perfect escape from reality. When I was growing up, I admired authors and I imagined I would eventually be one. The primary genre I write is fantasy romance. I love creating tough heroines and sexy vampires, werewolves, Fae, and every other supernatural creature I can come up with. I also write new adult romance when I am in the right mood. I want my readers to get the same joy from reading my stories that I do when I read some of my favorite authors.
Oh wow wow wow. I’ve legit had this book on my kindle since 2016 and only now just got around to reading it and I’m so mad at myself that I didn’t start it earlier. I’m in absolute awe of how this book went. I’m not one for paranormal but this one blew me away. Fae’s, Fairies, vampires and werewolves all places in to one book and it was fantastic.
The storyline was a intriguing, though I didn’t like how pushy and douchey some of the characters were toward the leading female character they all had little quirks that made me love them equally except Erik right at the end because what the actual heck? I did NOT expect the stuff he pulled that’s for sure.
This is my first read from this author and I’ll definitely be reading more in the future.
What a twist of a book, going from not being able to shift and thinking your a useless were to being half Fae, love it!
One of the biggest twist and I love the most is her relationship with Ricky and that she's a dark Fae and that she has changed Ricky.. Made him bigger and stronger, Amazing twist!
What broke my heart was him ditching her until they could 'Fix' what has happened to him, poor Scarlett.
And when her father kidnapped her at the end... Gosh I really do hate Ella Price's cliffhangers...
Amazing story, bring on part two!!

Is scarlett 19 or 12? Even the boys who are meant to be 21 are immature. The storyline has intrigued me though so I'll continue on with the series. Hoping it gets better.
Boy, this book is just a huge mess, and not in any good way. Thank god it was free! I mean, otherwise it would have been like paying for an elementary school assignment, because this book was pretty much at that level.
I refuse to believe that this author is any older than 14 years old, if even that. If she is a preteen then at least she has an excuse for her writing. If she is an adult then this is just sad: "I walked out to the garden. I sat down in the garden. The garden was lovely". You can't build sentences like that. If you are an adult then that should be obvious. It's pretty much writing 101 to know how to form sentences without using one word in every sentence. Also, "however", "although", "and" and "comma" is not illegal to use to form the writing. As it was, I found it extremely stilted and awkward.
Then we come to the characters. I found Scarlett very unrealistic. From one second she has a very low self esteem and then suddenly she thinks the world of herself and her looks. Not only that, she falls in love with every man in a ten mile radius that she is not related to. To make it even worse, every man loves her too even though she doesn't give them much reason to. I mean, when she met Ricky and Eli she was nothing but a b***h towards them , yet throughout the story both comes to love her and she even ruins their friendship.
The most unrealistic part was that Ricky and Scarlett went from hate to love without any hint or sign that that's was where their relationship was headed. And then the same thing happened when they broke it of. Suddenly all feelings were gone and Eli was the new love interest without any sort of development leading there ... and then Laurie. Sigh. need I say more?
What was the point of Anna and Hope? They were introduced in the story like they where going to have a small part in it, but the author just dropped it immediately and never mentioned them again. And Elijah seemingly having some sort of part in the story, but it is never explained why or what. He just showed up without any explanation as to how he knew to show up and help out. He is just conveniently there every time he is needed. No questions asked. Why?
This story seems to be about a spoiled brat that can only feel sorry for herself and keeps making crap decisions. Unrealistically everyone loves her and she keeps going after their love like it's some sort of approval for the actions she takes, however bad the actions are (like ruining someone's friendship, or even agreeing to have a strangers babies because she is told so). That's my summary of the story that I read. If someone else had taken the plot and idea behind the story and written this book, I bet it would have been great. As it is now, a one star rating is a good place for this book.
Slowly making my way through the group of free ebooks I downloaded and two chapters in I can already tell why this one is free... I wanted to like it, I really did but I couldn't even finish the book.
“After my shower I stood in front of the mirror. I had long, wavy black hair. My black hair matched my red eyes. My red eyes were odd. Neither my mother or father had red eyes, but I was born with them, hence the name Scarlett.” “I did my makeup around my eyes dark so my eyes stood out more. I put a pair of jeans on, and a dark red corset. I had the perfect hourglass figure. I looked good, but in packs that didn’t matter as much as a werewolf’s heritage. I rolled my eyes at my reflection, and put on my black hoodie. I opened my door and peeked out. I listened for a minute, and when all I heard was silence I stepped out.”
The language is very... Stilted. It reads like English isn't the authors first language or it's a very rough first draft. There was no world building, like a vampire walks into a cafe and not only does she automatically recognise what paranormal creature he is, it seems to be completely normal. How can she tell he's a vampire? Are they common? Do they not have any pack issues (vampires and werewolves tend not to get a long in other paranormal stories)? What differentiates a vampire from human? The author goes into detail about inane things or what a person is wearing but missing descriptive attributes about the different paranormal races... Which is odd considering she's supposed to have scarlet/red eyes.... I dunno, I have so many questions...
UPDATE: I just... “She actually resembled him. I was guessing she was related to him. Ricky rolled his eyes in annoyance, like a big brother would.” I want to get a red pen and correct the grammar and write in the margins, show don't tell.
UPDATE 2:
“The front door dinged and I didn’t know why I looked up, but I did. A vampire walked in the diner.”
This has got to be an unedited version... Or something the author wrote when they were younger. It's at the point where I'm not even paying attention to the story.

UPDATE 3: girl meets boy. Boy makes sexual innuendos. Girl hates boy. Boy hates girl. Boy comes to window and asks girl to take a stroll with them. Girl says, " I don't trust you, but I will go for a walk with you". Boy and girls feelings shift. They kiss. I stop reading.
Scarlett starts off believing she is a weak half-breed werewolf who is called fifty-fifty by Ricky, a male wolf of a new pack she and her mother join. He is rude and arrogant and insults her all the time however out of nowhere she ends up having sex with him and discovering she is in truth a fairy. The pack starts to fear her whilst her till then non-existent fae father turns up to claim her. She is expected to mate with a fae mate chosen by her father to save her nearly extinct fae race. She has so many questions but seems to give in too easily to any man who makes a pass at her and this is really not credible at all. She vacillates between duty and her feelings for Eric and the pack who were the only family she had known to date and whose protector was a vampire. Generally a natural enemy to the fae yet Scarlett let's Elijah get close to her too whilst she seeks refuge in his home. Elijah's character reminded me of a character in Cassandra Clare's excellent Shadow hunters series so i am hoping that the following books by Ella Price will follow suit but so far they are not there yet! The ending however, does make the reader want to go on reading the next book, so there is hope.
Ok read that was a creative story, with good characters, some action and some romance. I was a little disappointed with the spelling errors and this could be more.
There were quite a bit of problems I had with this book.
I didn't really enjoy Scarlett as a main character, but I gave her credit for being a stubborn badass.
A lot played into this book, but it didn't really flow well together or make it easier to understand the story. I just really didn't like any of the characters or love interests, I didn't like how much pressure Scarlett was under or the fact that she's been lied to for a long time.
IDK if I'm going to continue with the series, but this was definitely not my favorite book and I found myself rushing to finish it in the end.
I received this book from instagram it sounded interesting and it was free, which is iffy because if it's really good (like this one) you buy more in series (which I did). It was also young adult which I don't generally read. I really liked this story. Scarlett was a Fae/Werewolf shifter and 18. Troubled doesn't even begin to describe Scarlett. The struggles she goes through will make you angry then when the bad things happen to her and others in the book your heart will hurt. This book is a cliffhanger so be warned.
Feeling like a misfit all her life, no father then a mother who never seemed to care was where Scarlett found herself. When her mom married and moved to a new town she knew nothing would change. Boy was she wrong. Step into the crazy world of Scarlett as she learns about herself and others.
My only problem with the book and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was how it ended. I felt like it was chopped off right before the big main event. Otherwise it’s an end of your seat kind of book. I recommend this book.
2 1/2. I enjoyed the plot and I think it has a lot of potential. Some of the characters are intriguing and it will be interesting to see how they develop in the rest of the series.
Some things that did bother me. The language was stilted at times. Scarlet was attracted to too many guys. For someone who hadn't dated before she is suddenly interested in most males she meets? Also, they were all interested in her. There is the fear that she will develop into a Mary-Sue.
This was an okay short story. The characters were a little under developed. I felt like there needed to be more depth to who these people to be able to relate to them. However there were a number of grammatical and spelling errors. They were distracting but not enough to take away from the storyline. I think 2 1/2 stars is a better rating for this story.
I recommend for mature readers due to scenes of intimacy. An amazing and unique story that's intense and gripping. A must read.I definitely want the sequel now😍😍😍
