Violet Misery:

Well, we got through that mess alive. Barely, but alive. Three of my friends are now dead, my ex tried to kill me, and I've got a massive neck wound as a reminder. So, what's next? Vegas baby! Oh, and getting lost in the woods and dealing with psychotic witch sisters that want me dead and to steal my man. I seriously can't make this stuff up, people. I am devastated. Obliterated. And I'm not sure I will ever come back from this.

The third book in the Violet series is dark & haunting, & may cause you to shed a tear or two! Tara Vanflower takes Violet & Roman on a quest where they become trapped in a waking nightmare. They are truly put to the test in a situation, neither of them saw coming. They both have to battle for survival against the kind of opponent even Roman with all his experience, strength & skill is unprepared for. This book tugs on the heart strings, & forces Violet & Roman to question everything they hold dear. The horror unfolds like a creeping dread slowly warping & twisting the threads of Violet & Roman's reality. The threat is ever more insidious because their adversary appears harmless. They learn the hard way the trouble that comes from underestimating a threat. With devastating consequences. This the third book in the series puts it's characters & readers through an emotional wringer forcing us to witness abject despair & a whole gamete of stark raw emotion. Brilliantly written, a story that cannot be put down.

No, just no.

I'm sorry to say that, I love Tara, liked the first book and was okay with the second one. This is plain boring and pointless, and I couldn't bring myself to keep reading. I stopped at one quarter of the book, and all that happened was: Roman and Violet take a room, finally have sex, give the dog a name, and start driving again in the morning. This is 90 pages. Ninety.

Also, the second book was already going out of control with describing Roman, but in this, we go completely off the charts with the deification of him as the perfect man – and blatantly unrealistic even for a vampire.
Almost 1000 pages read across three books and I haven't read a single serious flaw about him. Sounds more like trying to unleash some personal fantasies...

I'm sorry for real. I like the writing style, and I really wanted to know what happens to Roman and Violet, as I like the two characters. But this feels like going nowhere. The most irritating was all that extremely detailed teenage-y mumbo-jumbo, mental jerking-off about every single thing. Sorry.
