Your favorite Marvel superheroes are presented in 20 dot-to-dot puzzles that are amazing enough to display when you're finished! More sophisticated than the one-dimensional dot-to-dots you knew as a child, these puzzles take about 30 minutes to complete. Expressive line work builds as you join the dots, and each page is easily removed when you're finished. Who will be revealed next? Get your pencil ready to connect!
I bought this because I love comic books. The main reason was that it had Squirrel Girl as one of the pictures. I hate doing the eyes because the numbers are so close together. The numbers are minuscule and you have to be right on top of the page to read it or use a magnifier. Each page takes about 20-30 minutes. I recommend using a mechanical pencil because otherwise you could easily mess up your work and it's hard to see numbers you'll use later even with thinner lines. I do pencil, then details with fineliners and smaller tipped markers. There's perforated pages so you can frame them if you want to. About to invest in the three other Marvel dot to dots. I hope they release a Squirrel Girl, Ms Marvel, Runaways, spidergwen, deadpool version. I personally would buy those in a heartbeat. Last thing: there is a pull out 1700 dot of Capt America vs Iron Man. You need to tear it out before you start it and I folded it in half depending on which half I was working on so it didn't bend as much.
All of us have at one point in our lives worked a simple dot-to-dot drawing, where, by connecting the dots, we have created a basic image. However, these are several levels of magnitude beyond those exercises. Twenty of the Marvel comic book characters appear in these very detailed and minutely constructed images to be created by the reader. The numbers on the dots are so small that I found it necessary to use a magnifying glass in order to find the start position. It will also be necessary to use an extremely fine-pointed pen to connect the dots, as the distance between them is generally very short. This book contains a great set of exercises for the budding artist, whether their interest is in comic books or something else. Using a steady hand and some significant patience, it is possible to create very detailed images of famous Marvel comic book characters.
