About the author

David Ellwand began his career in photography at the age of eighteen and uses a variety of formats and techniques in his books: black-and-white photographs, collage with hand-tinting, and full-color photography of handmade objects. He is also a mouse trainer, sculptor, and highly skilled self-taught computer artist. He lives with his wife and daughter in a village in West Sussex, England.

This over-size sturdy board book includes a sound button and many additional verses to a familiar children's song. Children will love looking for the plush mallard on every page.

You'll find yourself rowing down all sorts of bodies of water...
a stream, a brook, a river, a bay, and finally to shore. At each new place you will meet wildlife and be given a rhyming caution. You will meet a little fish, a crocodile, a penguin, pirate teddy bears, and a lion. Children can pantomime with the performer fishing, screaming, shivering, sailing, and roaring. What fun! You will sail in a canoe, a rowboat, a yacht, and a full-sailed ship.
