The name's Goldfish. Zombie Goldfish. Fishy mayhem abounds with two more fin-tastic stories from author Mo O'Hara featuring our favorite (New York Times-bestselling!) zombie goldfish.

Frankie was a completely normal pet goldfish . . . until Tom's evil-scientist big brother tried to murder him with toxic gunge! Luckily Tom and his best friend shocked Frankie back to life with a battery, and ever since he's been a BIG FAT ZOMBIE GOLDFISH.

A normal trip to the aquarium for Tom, Pradeep, and Sami suddenly turns into a death-defying race to stop save Frankie from being eaten by a hungry psychic octopus during their big brothers' latest evil plan.

Then, when the TV show My Pet's Got Talent comes to town all the paranormal pets suddenly start losing their talents. Can Frankie save the day without his dangerous hypnotic powers?

"Originally from America, I moved to London because I wanted to live abroad but spoke no foreign languages. After a brief and unsuccessful stint as a serving wench at the Tower of London I found work as an actress and comedy performer. I’ve perfomed regularly at Edinburgh and London comedy festivals. A few years back I got a job touring around the UK as a storyteller and that’s when I discovered that kids liked, laughed at and didn’t fall asleep when I performed stuff that I wrote myself. I was hooked on writing and performing for kids..."

A few days ago I was looking at my bookshelves, and I noticed something weird, I was missing a book in this series. I went online to see if I had it/read it, but it seems I didn't. Of course, I had to correct that and I went to buy the book. And it got delivered yesterday. \o/

Once again this book is split up in 2 parts. The first part is about Aquariums, kitties, octopuses, singing mascots and evil plans. I have to say that out of the two stories, this one was the one I liked the least. It was just too much over the top, especially with the addition of the Oddjobz guy. I did like Sami and how she can connect to animals (and I also want a life vest with a shark fin :D). Frankie was fun, though I felt sorry that he was being chased by a lot of things in this one.
I do have to give credit to the fun chapter titles, which were all so delightfully punny and James Bondy/spy-like. I had quite a few snickers each time a new chapter popped up.

The second part is about pet talents, scanners, evil plans, return of characters. I really liked this story, especially since we have another story with Geeky Girl, who is just totally awesome and who I hope will visit more often. The story was still a bit over the top, but way less, and it was actually more believable and more fun than the previous story.
I also liked what happened at the talent show, and what happened with the talents of the pets. Of course, I won't say what, but I had a laugh, especially with that ending.

The book is once again illustrated with great illustrations which will make you laugh, will make you snicker, will make the story come to life. I still love them!

Now I have read the whole series, and I can now only hope that Mo O'Hara will be writing a new book soon. :D

I am never disappointed by this series. Such a fun, creative premise for a series and I love that each story is so different.

To be honest, I think "Agent Octopus-Sea" might be my favorite story in this series so far. Despite the fact I'm not really a James Bond/spy film person, there was just something so perfect about it. Fun way to learn about some ocean animals with all the same excitement and hilarity of the other stories.

This is such a fantastic series, especially for reluctant readers. Nice, simple writing that is very creative and stories that are easy to engage with. Great illustrations as well. I am always of fan of My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish.

O'Hara, Mo Live and Let Swim (My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish #5), 221 pages, MacMillan Publishing. 2015. $12.99. Language: G (0 swears, 0 "f"); Mature Content : G; Violence: G;

Frankie is not just a goldfish but a zombie fish. A trip to the aquarium turns a little odd when a vampire kitten and a psychic octopus are involved. What will happen to Frankie? The second story is all about when My Pet's Got Talent comes to town. Frankie has to figure out a way not to reveal his secrets but keep the thief from stealing all the participant's talents.

This popular series is always entertaining. Readers enjoy that there's two stories in each book full of zombie fun. You never know what's around each corner!

Live and Let Swim by Mo O'Hara is about a kid named Zach and his friend Pradeep. This time his evil brother Mark is at an aquarium and he tries to take their most famous attraction, the smartest squid on the planet. They want the squid to hack into the lottery website and tell them the winning number.

I liked how this book is funny and is somewhat a mystery. I also like how this book was a reasonable size. I rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to people who like comedy books and to people who have read the other books in this series.

The first My big fat zombie goldfish book was good but this book is even better. I can't spoil the book for you but I can tell you that the book contains characters new and old. As if this wasn't good enough there are actually two stories in this one book.

Oh my goodness, these were great! The second story about the pet talent show brings back the paranormal pets, which were a highlight when they were introduced in a previous book. But the first story is probably one of my favorite zombie goldfish story: Agent Octopus-Sea (no joke) is a loving homage to the James Bond films. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just leave you with a few of my favorite chapter titles...The Tank is Not Enough,Evil Kittens are Forever, Quantum of Fish Food, Sky-Fin, Dive Another Day. This was fun to read!

Two new stories about the zombie goldfish. I preferred the one where they visit the aquarium.
