EXCERPT CHAPTER ONE SINGAPORE I was almost back to the Fairfield when someone held a gun on me. I wasn’t looking around the street. I had plenty of street smarts from growing up in LA, but Singapore was basically a different world. It was exceptionally clean, and there were almost no guns here. That’s why I was surprised to feel the barrel of a gun pressed to my back as I passed a dark alleyway. “Don’t make any noise, or you’ll be paralyzed for life."

Allen has been mourning the death of his wife for 20 years and does not realize how much he has missed until he is held up in Singapore. He is attempting to get to know his adult son and meets Valentina. He has been with other women before her, but she make him feel again. He still has issues and hang ups, but he works those out through the book. There are many chapters in the middle of the book devoted to Allen and his dead wife. While I enjoyed the story, there was a lot of extraneous information or items that were describe in too much detail not pertinent to the story. The threat/conflict at the end did not feel resolved.

This was the first book that I have read of this author and it was not the book for me. A lot of time was spent emphasizing Allen's wealth, importance and how busy he was as opposed as to the romance between him and Valentina. The story was mostly told from Allen's POV with a little from Valentina's POV. The ending I felt was rushed and in the end, this was not the book for me. I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
Alyse Zaftig is very good with her BAD BOY books. I love how she shows how bad they can be, as well as tough, dirty mouthed, well built and extremely good at taking care of their women (awesome sex). I will continue to read her books both contemporary and paranormal.

I also listened to the audio version of this. I loved the guys voice for this narration. And I liked that it had a male and female narrator. My heart ached for Alan when I found out what he went through. That would be so hard. Anyone would want to do what he did as far as his son. Idk how I would cope. But he should've still thought of his son and had more dealings with him. I got so upset with Alan. Did he think Trouble was just supposed to instantly wanna be a family after twenty something years? Of course, nannies is all the kid ever knew and was probably better off. And he never lacked for anything. I really liked Valentina. When she told him she was pregnant, I felt so sorry for her because of his reaction. Don't wanna spoil it but even after all they went through after that and almost dying, I don't think I could've forgiven that easy. That was pretty bad what he said. But all in all, I loved the ending. I do wish we would've heard more reaction from Trouble. He was kind of just answering in yes or no. We never got to know what he was thinking or his feelings. But I'm sure that's how it would be with a parent wanting to start over. The parent would need to be the one to work for it after being absent all those years. And I noticed that there's other books in this series. One about Trouble and his lady. I can't wait to check them all out. I think I will see about the audio on them.
This book was not written well. Although the concept was interesting, the delivery wasnt well executed. She spent too much time on Allen's details than the development of the relationship. There was hardly any focus on the father son reconnection and the Valentina relationship was nearly an afterthought. It was like, oh yeah this is a romance....let me get back to that. Then he demands she get an abortion and 5 minutes later all is right with the world and they get engaged. I literally rolled my eyes. Too fast....less time on unimportant details, more time on the focus of the entire story....the couple!
Story was really hard to get into, it didn't flow well it went from thought to another with no connection, just seemed like random thoughts just put together from the same character. The first half seemed to drag on a bit, but the second half moved so fast, i kept thinking 'that escalated quickly'
I think this was not intended to be a romcom, but it was so ridiculous and far fetched that it was hilarious 🤣. If you’re feeling down and have a couple of hours to waste, I would recommend the audiobook. The male narrator goes to town on the ridiculousness of the plot and contributes to the fun; just for that I give it two stars.
Allen lost the love of his life in childbirth. The focus of his life became business, not only due to the loss of his beautiful wife, but for the guilt of not being able to care for the son who looked just like her. When he had his own close call with death, he realized he needed to get to know his son. Then he meets Valentina and his life starts to look a little brighter. What will happen though when she ends up pregnant? Will he be able to handle it or will it force him to run in the other direction?
I really liked this story, but I have to admit to a little confusion in the very beginning. Then things slowly started falling into place and I became more involved and aware of exactly what was going on. The more the story progressed, the more entranced I became. I could feel the hero coming alive right before my eyes. I would have liked to see his son play a bigger role in the story, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The sex was explicit, sensual and romantic. This sexy hero’s transformation was heartwarming and I wanted to take him home and keep him for myself (shhhh!). The Reformed Bad Boy’s Baby is a Must Read! Don’t you dare miss it! 4 1/2 Stars!
Reformed Bad Boy. I received this book as an ARC member for an honest review. I enjoyed this book. Getting to know Trouble's family was good and informative. Allen had a rough life. I thought maybe Trouble would have been in the story a little more to keep the story connected. Valentina was the kind of woman I would like to be. She took charge and stood up for herself through all situations. Allen learned what it takes to love again and you can find love again in the strangest places. The kidnapping was great. I didn't see the switch coming when Sergio and Severin tried to kidnap Valentina for Allen's enemy. But having Valentina pregnant brought everything to one conclusion you are never too old for love or children.
It really took a while for me to get into this book, but once I did, then, I really enjoyed it. It is interesting how one thing, Allen being mugged, changed his life forever. It caused him to become a better parent to his grown son, and starting to do more for himself, instead of dedicating his whole life to his business. It really made him take a look at his life. This is one of those books that I am glad thst I continued reading even though I was not into it. It was well worth it the further I read. I received this book for free in return for an honest review. The reason that I just gave it a four was since, it was hard to get into it at the beginning, and I thought two much was said about him and his son's wealth. I still enjoyed it though, and I still recommend it.
I really like this author and once again she proves why. At first the story was only from the male point of view and just when I was wondering when the heroine would make an appearance she did. The alpha male Allen had a hard life and did not believe he could ever love again after he lost his first wife in childbirth. However, we he meets Valetina he comes to love her with a forgiveness he didn't think he could. This is a love story really about a man who learns to love again and finally gets the family he always wanted. As he said his first wife was his past and his new wife is his future. Great read, I highly recommend it.
I received thus ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Allen McKane is a man with an unexpected and interesting past, he's also a billionaire. He meets Valentina Baez at a baseball game while spending some long overdue time with his son. Allen and Valentina enter into a whirlwind relationship, but Allen has a deadly enemy that is willing to kill for revenge. Wonderfully well written characters. Allen is a man that loved his late wife deeply, but when he meets Valentina he realizes that it is possible to love again. Sexy, exciting, and suspenseful, fantastic book.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was an interesting read, and I was curious about it since it was based on Trouble's father and is related to The Bad Boy's Pregnant Bride, which I also read, and I was curious about Allen's story. The story is good, and it was nice to see Allen get a happy ending with Valentina and be on good terms with his son. The reason it's three stars instead of four is because of where Allen is a widow, and that put a very sad taint on the story that kept me from fully enjoying reading the book like I would have otherwise.
I'll be honest, in the beginning I was worried about this book. It started off slow and I was worried I wouldn't be able to connect to the story and characters. I was very wrong!! Reformed Bad Boy tells the story of Allen and Valentina. Allen, a man so heartbroken he's closed his heart off. In comes Valentina who in one day finds her way into his heart. These two begin a world wind romance. But, their hea doesn't come easy! Alyse Zaftig definitely has a new fan in me after this book! I look forward to reading more from her in the future! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This is Trouble's fathers story. It was a decent read with some action in it. It starts out in present day, then goes back to the past as he tells Valentina about his deceased wife, then returns to the present again. You get the gist of the story but there are a lot of unnecessary things that could be cut out and a lot more emotion put in. This one just fell flat for me. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review
Very emotional story. Was not sure we're it was going at first. But was it show you who Allen was, then you meet Valentina which they a wonderful weekend together. He let's go of his past by talking to her. But oops, there is surprise that nether of them expected. Plus Allen was slowly trying to rebuild his relationship with his son. It was little long at points, but it was enjoyable to read. I was given this story for a honest review.
Received a ARC Copy in exchange for a honest review. I enjoyed this book. Allen lost his wife 20 years earlier giving birth. Trouble was raised by his grandparents and nannies while Allen worked to much to hide his pain. Until he meets Valentine a yard working women who travels for work. Much older characters then the usual books and I liked that. They got it off right away and have there HEA once he can protect her.
I loved the book, I just think it should have been longer so the bonding between the main character and his son would grow. their bond grew too quick between the ball game and the birth of the child. I liked how it was described his grief and how he didn´t see how long it was and how comfortable he got with it. But this was a good book and I loved it.

It was ok but some of it was boring the storyline is great but they way it was written didn't work well. Things happened too fast they didn't allow it to develop. It went from not knowing his son to his son forgiving him in the same sentence. Kids don't forgive like that they hold grudges and takes a lot for them to forgive. It just needs work.
I like that this book answered questions about Trouble's history with his father and about with mother. His father's true love and how after over twenty years he finally found love again. Read Trouble's story, then Chris story before reading this one. None of them are let downs.
Sex scenes too long and to graphic. I just flipped past it. Could have used all the wasted space filling in on the more touching moments. This is suppose to be romance after all not a sex book.
I really enjoyed this book but wish it were longer. I really liked the back story of Allen's past life and love. Thought we could have learned more about Valentina. Possibly in another book? All in all it was a nice HEA story.
•Awakening I just finished reading The Reformed Bad Boys Baby (BWWM Bad Boys Pregnancy) by Alyse Zaftig. This is the first story I've read by Alyse Zaftig, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to see if there are any others to read.
This book was amazing. It was so well written. I love how the book played out. Some parts were sad but for the most part it gets you pulse racing. Definitely a must read.
Some parts of the book are better than others, but most of the time I thought Allen was a total douche and I don't know how Valantina forgave him or fell in love with him.
