I am writing this on behalf of my friend John Mann who does not have a goodreads account but who has recently read this book. He was very impressed with 'Halfstone'. These are his words;

Thank you so very, very much for sending me a copy of your magnificent first novel 'Halfstone'
From the moment I removed from the padded envelope that it came to me in, I was captivated . . .delighted by the beautifully designed and illustrated cover.
And when I began to read the first chapter, I had thought that I might just read a few pages to get the gist of what the story was about and then come back to it later. . .and I couldn't put the book down!!
Chapter after chapter flowed easily before my eyes and the way you describe the terrains and characters is masterful.
I cannot speak highly enough about this thrilling and beautiful book.
Every bookcase in every land would do well to have at least one copy of your enchanting masterpiece 'Halfstone' on its shelves.
