This book is about so much more than just acting. If you've ever had trouble trying to figure out how to exist for any reason at all, I would thoroughly recommend it, even if there is no gig out there that you're interested in booking. If you're ever finding yourself stuck in your own head and extremely self-conscious just getting from one day to another, this actually helps more than standard-issue self-help books does. If I end up accidentally booking a role for no reason whatsoever, I know what I'm going to credit!

The formatting was unexpected, as the entire book was like reading a long interview question-and-answer style. Some moments were encouraging and uplifting as an actor, sprinkled with a few practical tips as well. Overall, quick and easy read. I would potentially go back to be refreshed on many of these "industry truths" to be reminded about the nature of our industry, but not necessarily a life-altering/career-changing type book for me.

Honestly one of the best books for actors I have read. It talks about the business and technique but also self love, something that everyone, especially people in the business, need to learn. This book is also very motivating. I encourage all actors to read this book. Everyone has something to learn from it's
