Although the dark forces of Arawn are defeated, the Saxons have massed on the border of Wales, aiming for nothing less than the complete subjugation of the Welsh people. But defeating an army of Saxons is only the first step Rhiann, Cade, and their companions must take if they are to stop Mabon from claiming dominion over the human world for all eternity.
The Pendragon's Quest is the fourth novella (30,000 words) in The Last Pendragon Saga. (The Last Pendragon Saga was originally published as two volumes: The Last Pendragon and The Pendragon's Quest.)
With over a million books sold to date, Sarah Woodbury is the author of more than forty novels, all set in medieval Wales. Although an anthropologist by training, and then a full-time homeschooling mom for twenty years, she began writing fiction when the stories in her head overflowed and demanded that she let them out. While her ancestry is Welsh, she only visited Wales for the first time at university. She has been in love with the country, language, and people ever since. She even convinced her husband to give all four of their children Welsh names.
Sarah is a member of the Historical Authors Fiction Cooperative (HFAC), the Historical Novel Society, and Novelists, Inc. (NINC).

Trying to gain men and arms from the various Welch kings, it always seems that Arawnand his forces are one step ahead of them. Although, in truth, each encounter seems to defeat Arawn or his men, each group sent out seem to be having their individual difficulties.
This is the fourth novella in the Last Pendragon Saga, and it is almost as fun as the first three. I appreciate the fact that Woodbury is an energetic and enthusiastic writer; she writes with knowledge of Wales, without foul language, and romance without the gratuitous sex.
Cade and Rhiann are finally married but just barely before trouble strikes. As they head out on their mission once again they are confronted by demons that get more evil as the story unfolds. Some of their companions have separated from them for necessary reasons but it seems like the final confrontation with the Saxons is not far off. Can they come together in unity before the finale?
