This review is only for the Two-Face story “Half an Evil”
This is the first appearance of the Bronze Age Two-Face. I liked the updated origin on Two-Face and enjoyed the story. But what I didn’t like was the quick ending. A single punch felled Two-Face? Seriously? However, I did like the fact that Batman was able to use Two-Face’s compulsive need to make decisions with a flip of a coin to his advantage.

”Vengeance for a Cop!” starts with officer Robert Beeker explaining that he patrols the outskirts of Hudson City University between the U.S.A. and Woodstock Nation! Then someone shoots him and runs away.

Watching the ambulance take the body away, Robin is upset.

”Too many cops are getting the short end of the stick these days!”

Uh, Robin. You really should have been on the streets long enough by now to know that’s not actually true. It’ll be a long time before they gotten as much as they’ve given. Especially in Gotham!

When he gets out of the hospital and goes home, Robin pays him a visit. They decide to talk about politics. Robert mentions that his daughter Nanci ran away to a commune up-state. Robin decides to pay a visit and try to convince her to come home.

””Bird-boy,” you can just take your establishment bleeding heart and fly it home!”

He also sees Terri Bergstrom is there as well. She’s brought a message from Batman. You can tell because he signs with a bat. It says the suspected shooter of Beeker fled to this very commune!

Then along comes Pat Whalon, Nanci’s boyfriend. He appears to have as leg injury. He invites Terri and Robin to their weekly get-together.

On their way to the commune, they are about to cross a footbridge and ask permission of Jonathan to pass. Jonathan says Robin can pass if he can beat him with quarterstaves on the bridge. Um. Sure. They fight. Robin gets dunked in the river.

Once out of the water, Robin points to the one he says attacked officer Beeker at Hudson university!

Who is it that Robin has fingered in the crime? You have been presented with the clue—have you matched wits with the teen-age sleuth?

Nope. But I’m a sucker for these kinds of cases. Extra point for the Robin Hood reference.

And I am strongly suspecting Terri.
