Juice! is the book for anyone who leads or wants to lead a healthy lifestyle. A juice is a quick and very tasty way to take in valuable nutrients, but most of all, juicing is about taste. Each recipe is a celebration of global flavours which, thanks to the abundance of wonderful ingredients now available, are accessible to us all. There are over 110 recipes which are divided into chapters according to when to drink the juice for maximum effect - breakfast, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner and evening. There is also a chapter of cleansing juices. Guidance is given on the kind of equipment that is needed, as well as valuable information on the nutritional value of all of the ingredients used in the juices. With fresh, bright colour photographs and highly informative text, Juice! is an exciting new addition to books on this subject.
This juice book is organized by hour of the day. There are pictures. The juice names are funny, and each one has a sorta subtitular adjective. For example, "Sesame street" (a drink with tahini) is "nutty", "Pink lady" is "zingy", "Brainiac" is "redolent". Each recipe touts some tonic properties.
Most of these have difficult-to-find ingredients or non-fruit/veggie ingredients. For example, the ingredients for "Heaven scent" (a "silky" concoction) are lychees, rosewater, ice cubes, and grenadine. "Aroma therapy" (practically, "aromatic") is made of whole milk, honey, and lavender seeds.
