" Problems set in when trying to express the formless experience with words. Language is of the ego. So almost immediately upon communication of spiritual experience the meaning is changed. It is as if light leaks out of a sieve, the sieve being language. Employing form loses content. Eventually knowledge turns into religion and becomes empty ritual as the spiritual light is drained from it. Spiritual phenomena begin with enlightenment and gradually become encased in ego. People are still following the old paths and there is still a little juice to some of them, still pockets of power left over, but they are no longer direct manifestations of the Source."
