We all need someone who can handle our darker side Billionaire female boss, Abigail "Abi" Monroe, is an extremely sophisticated woman with a strong backbone and crazy-smart business woman. She's on the hierarchy of the business-food chain, becoming one of the first to create a multi-million dollar company in her early twenties. She’s used to getting what she wants and knows how to cater to her own needs. What the world doesn't know about her is that she is a sexual prowler, needing gratification on a daily basis. She has no time for love, but lust is the one thing she treats herself to. Her company mainly consists of handsome young men, but she does not divulge herself in any – except for her personal assistant. That’s just part of the job requirement. Dominating PA Series Her Personal Assistant Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
This one got me on a rollercoaster ride, the kind that took me to spins and twists and turns and so much more. Abi, a powerful woman in her own right had been treating her personal assistants like sex slaves. At first, I wasn't particularly into her story because I thought she was too wild for my taste. But when I learned of her history, I couldn't help but pat her in the back and mellow down. One thing's for sure though, you won't be able to properly conceive a proper thought while reading this. Trust me, this one will make you as hot as a volcano. Explosions and all!
I picked up this book in a newsletter promotion and thought I’d give it a try.
The blurb is quite interesting: a woman working hard to remain on top in a man’s world. To protect herself from heartbreak, she has resolved to only employ attractive male personal assistants, whose contracts specify they are to service her sexually as well, in exchange for a more than generous fee.
Fed up with her most recent PA, Abigail Monroe sets out to hire a new one. Enter Blaze Houston. He is already familiar with her preferences, being friends with one of her former PAs. He is very attractive and his chemistry with Abigail is insane. So is his infuriating talent for pushing her buttons. Struggling to regain control over the situation, she is forced to face her past, her lifestyle, and her decisions.
At first I was a bit worried that this book would be mostly gratuitous sex, but I was pleasantly surprised by the actual plot. There is still a lot of sex in it, but the scenes serve to further explain the characters’ motivations or move the plot forward.
The one thing that irked me was that Abigail’s flashbacks are difficult to distinguish from the ‘present time’ plot. Perhaps this was the author’s intent. However, I would have appreciated if the font would have made this clear. For instance, the flashbacks could have been italicized, or divided from the scenes by punctuation marks.
This story ended on sort of a cliffhanger, with a promise of more developments in the next installment. The book does have some resolution, though, as it is clear that Abigail needs to reevaluate her life choices.
Abigail Monroe was a business owner who had no time for relationships and didn't believe in love anyway. She had been put off from it due to a past relationship. Blaze is her latest male PA that she uses for her sexual gratification as well as the job of her personal assistant. But Blaze has come to teach Abi a lesson in humility and how to treat people right, The thing is he is more than she bargained for and her sexual gratification with him reminds her of the humiliation she received with her last relationship. Will Abi find what she's looking for in the next two books or just let everything go to the wayside.
This was super fun and hella fucking hot. If you are like me and trying to find some bdsm novels that have at least semi-complex characters and a relationship/plot that goes beyond just scene after scene of fucking, (but still delivers on the smutty scenes)I'd say this is one you should check out.
The writing wasn't bad and I loved our main character with her hardass ways and intricate backstory. She is such a badass.
I am very excited to continue on with this series and would recommend if this seems like your jam
I have submitted this review after listening to the audio book of this title within the series set box (Audible.com.au)
A ruthless female CEO employs male personal assistants, under contract, and nda's for her own personal pleasure. As the tale evolves, the reason for her ruthlessness becomes clear.
I'm not much into dominant female characters but this was a good story to read. I wasn't too thrilled with her attitude towards people. Other than that I did enjoy reading this.
I didn't like this book it was free I'm not into the sex part of the book it was to much. The owner of the company was to much she just use the men for sex .
Abi is a broken and complex woman and while I love the idea of a woman because no a Domme, sadly like her ex did it for all the wrong reasons.... Now while I don't think she was ever quite as bad as her ex,she wasn't much better, from what I read being a true is NEVER just about power and control,a true/good Dom. Is there for their sub. as much as they are there for themselves ,they serve as much as being served .... It's never just about one persons satisfaction , say even if say a Dom. a sadist ,he/she ( a good one) would pair up w/a sub. who was a masochist who loved/wanted the type of pain said sadist wanted to give but said sadist would only push soft limits in place and make they BOTH got they needed and would cause lingering hurt or damage and would ALWAYS provide loving aftercare... Her ex was maybe dominate but NOT a Dom. P, just a selfish jerk and while on one hand I can see what got Abi going down the road she's now on,to let herself become the almost cruel unfeeling jerk her ex is,nah that's not right.... I can get becoming cold and closed off ( even if despite the Hell Abi's gone thru can't touch what I've survived ) ( and can't see myself acting like this) I kinda get it what I don't get is letting herself become what she hates, mainly because she seems to smart for that... I wish we'd gotten Blaze's pov because to me it was beyond needed, he came into Abi's life w/an agenda it felt like to me.... He seemed to have studied up on her ( like she SHOULD have done with him!) ( why? We know not) and came in knowing what he wanted from her and it WASN'T a job as her assistant, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he was independently wealthy already or something, no he felt up to something but not necessarily in a bad way but Abi's BS aside him wanting to take over like he did at the end after just being w/her a week or soo and running over the way he did ,didn't really make sense either... Honestly I kinda like Blaze but he just didn't make sense,he just expected to unravel her in a week or soo and then just become an executive ? Even though we could see being an assistant was probably well beneath his abilities his overall behavior didn't make sense... And while it was kinda nice to see a woman acting out the kinda FSOG role instead of a man for once and to have such a good pov from her,I wish she wasn't quite soo resistant to getting a clue and we'd get the MUCH NEEDED pov from Blaze but I doubt even if I continue reading ( which I will out of shear curiosity) will ever be supplied.. Honestly we need to know his thoughts and motivations ... I just soo wish I was continuing on out of love for the book instead of just pure curiosity .... Shame...
Ok, really not my cup of tea. Abigail is just too messed up in this book for my tastes in reading. I didn't realize it would be a dominatrix type of book from the description either. On top of all that, it's a big cliff-hanger type of ending. I won't be interested in continuing with the series. Not taking into account the content, the writing itself was good, it flowed smoothly. But I did feel that Abigail, for supposedly being so smart, an excellent business woman, doing background checks & all on everyone else she hired as PA's, failed miserably with her hire of Blaze before the PI could come back with his findings. Blaze's character just didn't ring true from the start, nor her lax in judement in hiring him! Though, I was kinda rooting for Blaze to give her a come-uppance, I didn't like any of the characters in this book. Only because I didn't care for the content & characters, do I give it a generous 3 stars.
This book is brilliant. With strong characters there is no weakness in this storyline. I love how Lexy has developed these characters, how they submit yet stay strong. A fantastic performance from Mandy, you can feel the emotions in her performance.
The story line is ok. The intrigue is the most exciting part. Who is Blaze really? There's some missing facts and repetition but otherwise it's exciting.
