Pain is the one experience which binds all of humankind together. But why does it exist? What purpose does it serve for God and his people? Like so many of us, Job was a person who did not deserve the immense pain that entered his life. He experienced the loss of his children, financial loss, severe health trauma, and eventually fell into the suffocating pit of depression. It was at this lowest point when God showed up and provided one of the most challenging and profound answers to the problem of evil the world had ever heard. If you have ever felt like life isn’t fair, that you didn’t deserve this to happen, or that God cannot possibly be good, this book is for you. Enduring with Job will help you find the purpose in your pain while encouraging your spirit to endure the difficulties of life. Discover how you can have hope once again.

This books makes job and his friends easier to understand
This is is a great book for some one who wants to get to grips with the book of Job.
It’s written in an easy to read and digest style which gives you quick access to the overall theme and the various characters in the book and the way they interact with Job.
You can read it as a devotional each day, or you can read the chapters in parallel whilst you are reading your bible each day, or you can read it straight through like I did.
This books makes job and his friends easier to understand and next time you read the book of Job you’ll understand the framework and get more out of it.
I never understood the book of Job until I found myself in the dark night of the soul. Only then could I make sense of Jobs pain and the conversations he had with his friends and with Job. This book has helped me appreciate God’s goodness in the midst of pain.
The book of Job is a study in what often seems like an unfair world. However, its greater value is in what we learn about God rather than what we learn about the world. When we are faced with trials and tribulations, do we ascribe these to some unknown sin as did Job's accusing friends?
Or do we seek to know God and learn more about how he works in our lives as did Job? David Ramos explores these questions in his most recent book, Enduring with Job. As we learn the lessons in this book, we will be better suited to perform our own endurance test, when, not if, it arises.
This is an excellent study of the book of Job. There is so much for us to learn about suffering and how to deal with our suffering. It also shows us how big our God is. We can trust Him wholeheartedly.
