This is an action based adventure, with little in way of role-playing as you hack through hordes of Orcs. Or do you? I can't wait to play through it. The premise is simple enough. Stop something evil from happening. Live through it! I am incorporating this adventure into a larger campaign, but it works fine as a stand alone adventure too.

The minor political intrigue is okay, and can fit nicely into other conspiracies I am working on including in my larger campaign.

Not an earth shattering storyline, but one that will hold the interest of a group of adventurers wanting to kill some stuff, or find creative ways around the hordes.

The encounters are well presented and I liked that it recommended miniatures to use. Part of my fun has been trying to collect the minis it recommends, though it does up the cost of the adventure. This is how I think Wizards of the Coast needs to present their adventures, though it's one of the last 3.5 edition adventure modules to come out for Forgotten Realms, so I'm not sure how things are with their 4th edition modules.

This may be the best module I've ever read. The story is clear and well written, the concepts are easy for the PCs to follow, and it leaves huge spots open role-playing between players throughout the module.

At the beginning the of the module, the PCs are hired to find a group of missing noble kids pretending at being adventurers. It requires solid role-playing mixed in with dice rolls to investigate what happened to them and pick up their trail. From there it becomes a location/event driven module.
