Sean Bean: The Biography

Rate this book
Sean Bean is one of the top-rated and most popular stars of both cinema and television. Best-selling celebrity biographer Laura Jackson traces his life from his working class beginnings in Sheffield to becoming one of Hollywood's favorite screen villains, earning him the handle of "Sexiest Man in Cinema".

Laura Jackson has carried out exclusive interviews with Bean's closest friends and family. She turns the spotlight on this remarkably grounded actor and explores his chauvinistic Northern roots, his passion for football and his turbulent love life.

Jackson also examines the unique balancing act he performs between the large and small screen. From his springboard of the phenomenally successful TV series Sharpe, he has starred in movies such as GoldenEye, Patriot Games and Ronin.

This would have been a lot more interesting if the author had managed to snag an interview with Sean Bean himself. Although a couple of people from Bean's childhood were interviewed, most of this book seems to have come off internet interviews, etc.
