Robin is back in Gotham and ready to pick up his father's mission. Since Bruce is hampered with amnesia, Damian feels he needs to take point on saving Gotham instead of the "pretenders" and ends up tussling with some real second-raters. But we also get a "look in" on Nobody's daughter, Maya.
Lots of these encounters are played for humor, but it was fun to see Robin out there kicking butt and taking names! The last encounter puts something of a ribbon on the storyline with Maya Ducard. Apparently, she hired these guys in a last attempt to destroy anything related to her father. But since Robin kind of lets these guys go, there might still be a thread left to pull here.
The best scene in the book is the opening. Damian is sort of spying on Bruce Wayne, and it really adds up to how much he really misses him. In the relatively short time Damian was with him, they really built up a nice relationship, and now Damian is feeling a bit lost and certainly lonely without his father. Some really touching moments here.
Fun book that I can't wait to click into high gear again!
