An inoffensive devotional history. Very heavy on mission history (almost exclusively so); in fact it might have been billed as such and I would have been less disappointed. It, of course, compares unfavourably with Mulder's brilliant and exhaustive account of Mormonism in Scandinavia. However, I was impressed with the great detail Scharffs provides from the Weimar Republic right up to publication.

OK history of LDS in Germany as of about 1970.

Very interesting and full of the history and struggle of the German people to have the church there.
