PLEASE This book is a re-release. Keva Lane loves her job at the Institute of Parapsychology. When she responds to an emergency call to help Sebastian Brooks, a psychic about to go supernova, things go horribly awry. Normal treatment methods don’t work and Sebastian rudely suggests that she could cure him with sex. With lives at risk, Keva doesn’t have any choice but to give in to the sexy psychic. Little did she know that she would be setting off a chain of events that would change her life forever.Being psychic cost Sebastian Brooks his family. He’s not interested in being saved. Though he knows he’s not good enough for Keva, he can’t resist her. And he can’t seem to stay away from her no matter how hard he tries. Because whenever he loses control, it’s like he’s possessed and nothing can stop him from claiming the woman he’s had visions of for a lifetime.
I am so mad at this book. It had a man with powers that even affected the weather and he had telekinetic abilities! There was an institute that treated "mutants" like him, but he knew that they were sus. He and his girl could have spent the story taking them down and rescuing abused mutants. Instead, it was a story about a guy who suppressed his powers to the point where he needed this girl for sex. And that's it. I gave this two stars instead of one because I did enjoy the first half of the book.
This book is set in an alternate universe where mutant’s exist. Not like xmen, but several humans exhibit special abilities like telekinesis and clairvoyance. Keva Lane is a channel at the Institute of Parapsychology, a safe place for “enhanced human’s” to go and seek help or refuge. When she

The good
Mrs. King always comes up with unique storylines and jaw dropping alpha men. She does not disappoint with this book, Bastien is HOT! Bastien is Sebastien’s alter ego, the Mr. Hyde of the two; demanding and plundering his way into Keva’s heart. Sebastien is the Dr. Jekyll, the level headed gentleman that know’s he’s no good for the kind hearted Keva. They both want her, both are out of control, and both can’t seem to keep it together long enough to stay or stay away. Girl, Mrs. King does the alpha male right. Is he arrogant, yes! What else would you expect from a no hold bars male that tells you what he wants and knows how to fulfill his promises?
The bad
I really liked this book while I was reading until I made it to the end, then I felt underwhelmed. Like, cyberstalking a dress, ordering, then receiving and ripping open the package to find out that it doesn’t fit or is made from lame and makes you look like a giant disco ball; yes, I speak from experience. Here I was expecting a big showdown between Bastien and Sebastien; it was foreshadowed and the man could control the weather, so I thought it could be apocolyptic. And then there was the big bad institute doing wrong by the mutant’s, our heroes were not involved in their comeuppance. In fact, there was barely any conflict at all for the couple. It went from edge of your seat, where will he show up next to boring vanilla romance novel fair.
I really like Ms. King, but this book was a bit of a disappointment
The beginning was great but that was all that was great to me. Sometimes I enjoyed this book but mostly I didn't. I just wanted to get to the good part and those were few and far in between. I couldn't even enjoy the sex scene because of how they came about. She was weak to me and fell for anything he said. After she quit the story fizzled to. me.He never even apologized about what he did. they didn't date like idk maybe it's just me. it was mostly sex, anyway.

Between this book and her Bioexpa series, it is clear that this author has some really good ideas when it comes to science fiction romance. Now if she could just build her world out a bit more and expand the ideas there is potential for some really excellent SFR, which is something I am very hungry for, especially with a WOC protagonist.
This has a nice premise with the distrust of psychics and a subset of persons who were specifically chosen to work with excess psychic energy that proves harmful (and a reason why psychics and other paranormal persons are persecuted). The heroine is one of the persons who works for a corporation that acts as sort of occupational therapists for psychics. The hero is a very powerful psychic who was cut off from his family because of his -- condition. There are some shady corporate politics going on which is always fun. But I think the book just missed being almost perfect it felt like the ending was rushed and some elements glossed.
A Very Good And Sensual Interracial Supernatural Romance
Possessed is a very good and sensual interracial supernatural romance novel that earned a rating of five stars. Keva is a channel for people with supernatural powers and she enjoyed helping people. She met Sebastian when he was over whelmed with his powers he was about to go super nova. Holding his hand did not so he used her body. They had a very strange relationship that turned into love. They had to overcome a lot of obstacles to find their happiness together. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading very good and sensual romance novels.
This was my first book by this author but it definitely will not be my last! I love books that feature psychic abilities, and Thayer King presented these abilities in such a way I've not encountered before. I love the different 'aspects' of (Se)bastion manifesting. If there were any suggestions, I would have loved an insider's peek at Sebastian's integration process, and I would have loved to see a full manifestation of his abilities. I hope this is a world she continues to develop.
The plot was good but the execution of the plot was horrible. The book was more about sex than the actually character and plot development. Like the characters got married at the end but it felt lacking. I have wasted my money on this book, it should have been free 😒.
Okay. I generally like Thayer King. If the premise made you feel icky (like it did) me, you are still going to fell icky about how these two meet and hook up. You aren’t going to feel worse, but that is it. If you can look past that plot point, then I think you’re okay and you will enjoy the rest. Otherwise, give this one a psst.
I really loved this book. It had everything you like, could’ve gone into more detail about that world and the characters. I would’ve also liked for it to be longer, it ended to soon. But the storyline was so interesting and great. So despite its length I give it 5 stars

This story started strong Sebastian and Keva were great. The part about the clinic where Kava worked at was a let down. The storyline could not keep up the pace.
This was different and an enjoyable romance. A telekinetic psychic as the hero and a Channel as the heroine. Different from the vampire/shifter/alien stories so popular now. It is nice to read a different spin on fantasy romance.
This author was recommend on Goodreads and I have to say I was not disappointed. Well written book with good storytelling. Strong lovable characters. Can't wait to read more of this author's books.
The characters had depth and i truly enjoyed their sex scenes😊 i would have liked a little more back story on the parents but 🤷🏽♀️ overall good read & I’d definitely recommend!😘
The book was okay but it took me a long time to get through it. It had boring parts that I had to take breaks in order to finish. It had parts that were interesting that made me want to finish. I would not read again but it wasn't bad.
This was a really good short read, it was very different which intrigued me from the beginning. I loved the characters. I loved Sebastian's alpha male nature, just taking what he wanted which was Keva. Her family was a bit annoying especially her sister, I wish the author went into detail about what happened with Keva's old job. That would've made the book much more excited. Something about them linking Sebastian as the unidentifiable psychic, he gets captured but uses his powers to take down IOP. Just my opinion, all in all. Great read
If you want to read a alpha male, cliche, predictable bad sex scenes book look no further this is the book for you. There is some paranormal twist in the book but it was not really worked out. We have biracial love that I applaud. But there was not else that was great about this book.
This was a good read. A different take on the paranormal. Wish it could have been longer. I wanted them to take down IPO themselves. I think the ending was rushed. Overall I will read more Thayer King.
Thayer King never fails. Keva and Sebastian's story is sexy, unusual, and suspenseful. I enjoyed this book about psychic abilities and channeling. To say that they were born to love each other is an understatement. Check it out!
Just finish reading Possessed, and I love it.I fall in love with Keva and Sebastian story. It was so funny and sexy at the same time, the things Sebastian said to Keva.5 star indeed.
